Morellis Furniture & Bedtime Maiden Plate 2200m
No Savings is the probable leader in the small field. GOLD LABEL PATCH (2) looks to have more upside than most of these at his third race start. Massive improver at his second race start when chased late from the wide gate for a game third over 1732m at this track. Should get the right tempo and prove hard to hold out. NO SAVINGS (8) frustrating mare who will go to the front and prove hard to run down with Pang's 3kg claim. Nailed late when second over 2100m at Stony Creek. Deep into the prep and gets every chance today. CHATEAU DANCER (7) failed to get into the contest from the outside gate at her second run back when a below-par eighth over 1600m at Mornington. First-up run had merit and can make amends from the inside gate. GREAT OBSESSION (3) has slim place prospects in the small field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Gold Label Patch can go on with it here. |

SANLAM Private Wealth Maiden Plate 1717m
A race that lacks early pressure on paper. FEDORA (11) stalked the speed before fading to finish seventh over 1600m at Pakenham in the soft (7) going on November 14. Kept up to the mark with a 1000m jump out and is capable of rebounding quickly. BORN SURVIVOR (1) had been rock-solid with three placings in a row before finishing seventh over 1415m at this track last start. Expected to improve sharply. EPEIRIC (10) had genuine excuses at her second race start when taking back from the wide draw and making some ground late to secure eighth over 1514m at Yarra Valley. Gets out to her right trip and can take a hand in the finish. TOOMUCH (6) unsuited in two career starts over the shorter trips and the winkers go on for this. Warmed up late when sixth over 1300m at Cranbourne. No surprise to see him take this out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 11,1,10,6. |

Colmac Homes Maiden Plate 1400m
Expect a strong tempo with Always Shining pressing on from an outside draw, with Pacific Reel nearby. LOWESTOFT (11) eye-catching return over the shorter trip when a slashing third over 1203m at Kyneton. Gets in light with Pozman's 2kg claim and finds a very winnable race. Hard to stop. WRENLEE (8) raced a touch closer from the better draw when a plugging third over 1106m at this track in the soft (6) conditions. A repeat effort keeps him in the calculations. HEIRONAUT (4) King's Legacy gelding from a Tavistock mare on debut for the Anthony & Sam Freedman yard. Latest jump out win had merit and the blinkers go on, keep safe. PACIFIC REEL (6) far from disgraced on debut when he pulled up lame to finish seventh last start over 1415m at this course. Kept safe in betting on that occasion and expect a better showing here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 11,8,4. |

Lords Cleaning Service Maiden Plate 1100m
Bimballa is the likely leader at a slick tempo. KEEP IT REAL (4) two-start gelding who finished runner-up in both starts in his first campaign. Wasn't pushed out in his two jump outs and the cross-over nose band goes on. Capable of finishing over the top of these. YES YOSHI (6) Yes Yes Yes gelding from a Camelot mare on debut for the Littlefield stable. Looked strong in his last two jump outs and stays in the mix. BIMBALLA (11) returns from a lengthy break after failing to fire on debut when last at Mornington over 1000m on May 26. Won his second jump out in good style and the lugging bit and winkers go on. Each way. TAN TAT ART (14) drifted back on debut and failed to get into the contest when seventh over 1203m at Kyneton. Cross-over nose band comes off and improvement is expected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keep It Real should prove too sharp for these. |

Sale Water Specialists BM62 Handicap 1000m
Small field but a good tempo is expected with Juice Box, Supido's Choice and Yes We Are pressing on. FULLY CALCULATED (3) month between runs when a tenacious third over 1000m at Cranbourne. Gets a similar set-up for this and doesn't need to find much to take this out. Has a good record at this track and distance. YES WE ARE (2) returns from a lengthy break and looks to have a ton of upside heading into the prep. Lone victory came at this course and has a host of gear changes today. Both jump outs suggest he will be forward enough for this. Go close. JUICE BOX (4) broke through in weaker company when a dominant on-pace win over 1100m at Stony Creek. Goes well on his home track and not to be overlooked. MOONLIGHT RUSTLER (7) tough old gelding who drifted back and never threatened when sixth over 1100m at Stony Creek. Look for him charging late if they overdo it up front. SUGGESTED PLAY: Fully Calculated gets his chance from the inside gate. |

Kwik Tip Bins BM62 Handicap 1200m
Tanana has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. TORSHEEN (6) lightly raced filly who returned in an easier contest with a plugging third over this trip at Mornington. Comes to hand quickly and doesn't have to improve much to take this out. ZOUTANIUM (3) is a talented colt who resumes from a lengthy spell. Came to the end of his prep when a disappointing last to Cool Archie over 1600m in the G1 JJ Atkins at Eagle Farm on June 14. Tongue-tie goes and the two jumpouts looked sharp. Can return a winner. NIGHT FLASH (4) fourth-up today and stretches out to the 1200m for the first time. Put himself in the race in the straight but failed to close off when a seventh over 1000m at Cranbourne. Claim helps and worth another chance today. KING WEST (2) returned from a let-up with the two good runs and anywhere near his best can win this. Produced good splits late when fourth over 1000m at Cranbourne. Pozman's claim keeps him in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 6,3,4,2. |

RMBL Investments Rising Stars Race 1717m
A solid tempo on the cards with Private Jumbo leading the way. PRIVATE JUMBO (1) set to peak at his third run back after racing with distinction in town last campaign. Shouldered the 60kg when up quickly in trip for a plugging seventh over 1500m at Cranbourne a week-and-a-half ago. Gets out to his right distance range now and will hold a forward position with the claim. Genuine top-three prospect. ART 'N' SOUL (4) comes here in peak condition, and his lone victory came at this course and distance. Three weeks between runs when back in trip for a battling third over 1600m at Cranbourne. Kept fresh again and gets another chance. MYSTIC VAMP (7) strong through the line again when a tidy fourth over 1500m at Mornington. Looking for further now and doesn't have to improve much to play a leading role. LIM'S SMYTHE (3) just over a month between runs when an eye catching fifth over 1500m at Mornington. Ready to peak with the claim and the trip suits. SUGGESTED PLAY: Private Jumbo finds a winnable race. |

Ladbrokes Popular SRM BM62 Handicap 1400m
Just a moderate tempo headed by Crystanado, Forest Jim and Capital Grace. DIAMOND GUST (7) blinkers go on after closing late in the small field at his first run back when fourth over 1200m at Mornington. Lone victory came second-up and gets a key jockey change here. Sure to be thereabouts. CAPITAL GRACE (4) is chasing her third win from the last four runs and looks up to this stiffer test at the second run back. Shouldered the 60kg from the sticky gate when a gritty nose winner over 1408m at Werribee. Open to plenty of improvement and not to be underestimated. FOREST JIM (6) better effort at his second run back when he chipped away late with the 62kg to finish fourth over 1400m at Echuca. Genuine top-three prospects from the draw. IN HER STRIDE (3) back in grade when had the confidence boost scoring at Terang in BM56 grade. Place claims best against some of these. SUGGESTED PLAY: Diamond Gust looks set to shine. |
