FRESH CHOICE GREERTON MAIDEN 1500m
Sweysmart has the pace to cross and lead, with Dun Talkin' kicking up on the inside. IVY'S DANCER (6) resumed from a spell and finished third as the favourite, and losing a shoe that day probably did not help her. She cops a wide gate, but strips fitter, and is worth following in this. On top. TYPHOON LUCY (14) looked promising at the trials prior to finishing a bold fourth on debut at Ellerslie 4 weeks ago. She is bred to improve with time, and if 1500m is not already too short for her, then she can take this out. DUN TALKIN' (1) was put aside to mature after a couple of solid efforts to finish third in the spring. He resumes from the pole position without a trial, and if he doesn't need it, then he can figure in the top 3 here. GADABOUT (7) just battled home at Ruakaka last time out, but was in good form prior to that. Stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dun Talkin' each way. |

DANE CROCKFORD RAY WHITE GREERTON 1500m
Solid tempo anticipated with Dealt With taking charge. DEALT WITH (3) missed the placings for the first time when finishing sixth as a short-priced favourite at Trentham just over 3 weeks ago. He was looking for more ground than 1200m that day, and is perfectly placed third up over 1500m. Follow your money. On top. MOSINVADER (2) has found it hard to win another race, but is usually thereabouts, finishing third at Te Rapa nearly 3 weeks ago over a mile. He will be at his peak fitness now, and is overdue to claim the big prize. SUPER PHOTON (4) picked up nicely from last at Taupo 11 days ago and will be suited over 1500m for the first time beyond 1400m in his career. Each way. THE UNDERBELLY (1) has joined the Cody Cole stable and was a winner of an Avondale trial last month. He has not started for over a year, and the market is the best guide. MIZELLA (6) was a beaten favourite last time out at Otaki in a race that had come too soon for her. This assignment is more her go, and she is worth another chance. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Super Photon each way. |

RAY WHITE REAL ESTATE MAIDEN 3YO 1300m
Expecting Barnum to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. BARNUM (4) won a trial prior to being a touch disappointing on debut at Ellerslie 4 weeks ago when finishing seventh. He will be better for the experience, and is expected to be a quick improver. Hard to beat. CURZON PARK (2) has looked good on occasions, but has also let the team down when more has been expected. He led up and faded late at Tauranga nearly 8 weeks ago, and his freshen up would have done him no harm. Each way. BATTLE TYCOON (1) showed talent as a juvenile and will be a lot stronger this year. He won a recent Avondale very easily, and he will be ready to rumble fresh up. Can win. KAKASISISI (7) ran on strongly for fourth on debut and will appreciate an extra 150m to travel here. Warren Kennedy sticks with him, and so do we. SUGGESTED PLAY: Barnum each way. |

KEITH STRINGER MAIDEN 1200m
Anticipating good pressure with many of these facing the starter for the first time. MILLER'S POINT (8) won a trial prior to storming home for second at Te Aroha just over a month ago. She cops a tricky gate, but having Warren Kennedy in the saddle will help overcome that negative. Hard to beat. SARTI (3) is making his debut from the astute Kelso stable, and he is ready for the races after winning the most recent of his 3 public trials this season. Check the market, and don't risk him. PILATES (13) hails from the leading Walker/Bergerson, and she won the most recent of 2 trials by 3 lengths. She has a good draw and can make a winning start to her career. SILKY SHUBA (9) is heading the right way with her form and can make full use of the pole position. Each way claims again. DEEP PURSUIT (1) might need the run, but is worth including in all combinations to be safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sarti each way. |

SARAH ABBOT @ RAY WHITE GREERTON 1200m
Strong tempo assured from Paravane and Sako leading the charge. WHEN STARS ALIGN (4) won easily here fresh up, and then stepped up in company and finished runner-up by a nose at Te Rapa nearly 4 weeks ago. This will be a slightly easier assignment, and he is the one to beat. TRISTAR (1) was third when finishing 2 lengths behind the top pick in the same race last time out. She has 2.5kg less to carry here after the claim, and her next win is not far away. PARAVANE (9) has only been lightly tried and won fresh up by 3 lengths at Te Rapa just over 6 weeks ago. She is up in class, down in weight, and ready to take the next step immediately. ONEIRA (6) has not won for some time, but is heading in the right direction with her form, finishing runner-up at Trentham last time out. She is just as good racing in a clockwise direction, and can go one better here. SUGGESTED PLAY: When Stars Align can win this. |

SOCIAL CLUB GREERTON 1200m
Solid tempo likely with Precipice, General Menari and Opaea Joe prominent. BELLARISTA (4) has not been beaten far in a couple of tougher fields recently, and is drawn to receive the run of the race here. She has been placed both times on this track, which is an advantage, and she can bounce back into form here. FOXGLOVE (5) just battled when finishing fifth in a 6-horse field at Te Rapa nearly 3 weeks ago, and she will have a tongue tie on this time to help her breathing. She is worth another chance. Each way. PRECIPICE (3) was a good winner of his debut at Trentham just over 3 weeks ago. He has another tricky gate to overcome, but looks to have the scope to go on with the job. GENERAL MENARI (6) was put aside after winning by a neck on debut at Taupo. He has been kept ticking over with a recent solid trial, and there is no reason why he can't remain unbeaten after this run. CHANTELLE ROSE (11) is not out of this at odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bellarista can win this. |

RAY WHITE GREERTON 2100m
Giacomo is likely to roll to the lead and set a decent tempo. KIWI SKYHAWK (11) has raced his way into full fitness and should be at his peak now after 5 runs back from a spell. He was a beaten favourite at Taupo last time out when being caught flat-footed when the sprint went on, warming up late for fourth. Warren Kennedy takes over the ride, and maybe he can coax that little bit more out of him where it matters most. GIACOMO (9) dug deep and showed more fight last time out over a mile at Te Rapa nearly 3 weeks ago when finishing runner-up. He will take some running down in this field, so stick with him. NOTABADSPILLANE (3) was game in defeat when finishing runner-up in the G3 NZ Cup nearly 8 weeks ago. He can't be ruled out of winning a race like this. Each way value. DARK DESTROYER (1) has been contesting some hot fields this season, and at this level, he is not to be risked. Each way value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kiwi Skyhawk can win this. |

SUPER LIQUOR GREERTON 1500m
Expecting Shez Shamus to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. SHEZ SHAMUS (7) set the pace and was caught late at New Plymouth in her penultimate start, and then improved again to take them all the way at Te Aroha just over a month ago, clinging on to score by a nose. Those front-running tactics will make her hard to peg back around this circuit. AMUSEMENT (10) seem to like to be ridden in or near the lead, and she was back in form when finishing second by a short head when trying to make all the pace at Matamata nearly 3 weeks ago. The extra 100m will suit her, and she can go one better. FASTDEELDUN (4) did not fire at Te Rapa last start after finishing an encouraging third fresh up at Arawa Park early last month. Stick with him on an each-way basis. EVER CHARM (3) ran on strongly for third when resuming at Matamata. Include in all combos. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ever Charm each way. |
