NUM TIME COMMENT

Genuine tempo with the speedy Texture leading the way. MYSTERY 'N' DRAMA (9) looks a good each-way play to kick off the delayed meeting. Two runs back this time in have been good, beaten narrowly at Geelong in each. Put up a decent figure when third last time and that has her firmly in the mix. North of 20-1 available in early betting seems generous. SOMERSAULT (11) is another at an early double-figure quote who has claims. She was just ahead of Mystery 'N' Drama when they met and has been good again since. She draws for every chance. MISSAPPREHEND (8) ran on well late with the tempo against as a beaten favourite when last seen at Cranbourne. She draws to sit closer now and profiles well. PHINEAS (2) ran well fresh at Sale and should be fitter now. MISS MARANDA (7) maps for a soft run behind the leaders and has claims in an open race.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Mystery 'N' Drama each-way.

Many of these step out for the first time so a genuine tempo is expected. LIFE AFTER LOVE (5) tackled a few handy races as a 2yo and while she mixed her form, her best efforts read well, especially a third placing over this distance at Caulfield two starts back. She resumes here having won a lead in jumpout and looks set to run well. COVERT MISSION (1) set the pace in front at Moe first up from a spell and stuck on well for third. He's open to plenty of improvement and should be in this for a long way. SPRITZ (7) caught the eye with a good finish at Cranbourne on debut when working home to grab second. Stays at 1000m here but will be better for the run and can figure. PER FAVORE (6) stuck on well in the same race as Spritz on debut and gets Williams on from the inside gate.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Life After Love on top.

Plenty of speed engaged with Rodriquez, Satin Diva and Auckland going forward ahead of Machinist and Expulsion. SATIN DIVA (8) will find this a fair bit easier than last start at Caulfield Heath in the Magic Millions 3&4yo Classic behind a very much in-form pair of horses. The fresh run in a strong BM64 won by Job Done reads very nicely for this and she rates to win. RODRIQUEZ (1) has won his past two, backing up the dominant 7-length heavy track win at Stony Creek with another huge victory at Sale, winning by 4.5 lengths. This will take more winning but he's hard to ignore. YOLO (4) resumed with a tidy win at Seymour over this trip and has clearly come back well. He has options from the good gate and can prove hard to hold out again. EXPULSION (10) resumes. She got over a bit further last time in but contested some good races and should be respected with Jamie Melham booked.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Satin Diva to win.
4 05:30 Stow Storage Solutions Handicap 1400m
Good tempo expected with Girls Night, Queensbury and Homeward rolling forward. METALLIC RULER (1) has been solid in two runs back from a spell, finding the line nicely behind a smart winner at Cranbourne last time out to grab second when well supported. Comes back a notch in grade now and should take plenty of beating. TWO SIGMA (13) hasn't been beaten far in two runs back and did get a long way back from the wide gate at Cranbourne when last seen. She can land closer here with the light weight and the rise to 1400m suits much better. SO SUAVE (7) resumes having gone to the paddock a maiden winner at Doomben over 2070m. He may need further than this being a full brother to champion mare Verry Elleegant but can be staying on strongly late. DUAL AWARD (6) is lightly raced resuming for his second campaign. Williams on from a good gate helps. HOMEWARD (10) has won two in a row and deserves a shot in town.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Metallic Ruler to win.
5 06:00 Sportsbet Feed Handicap 2100m
Expecting a strong gallop with Global Eclipse and Takemetothemoon taking up the running over Purler Patch. GLOBAL ECLIPSE (6) has had a few chances this time in but is knocking on the door and finds a nice race. He's finished runner-up at his past three, beaten at Yarra Valley last time out as favourite but gets a significant jockey switch with Ethan Brown going aboard while also dropping in weight. He'll be in the first couple and take catching. SCINTILLANTE (2) is the danger. He's been okay without really threatening this time in, just battling home late when getting too far back. This is winnable, he just needs to settle closer if possible. TAKEMETOTHEMOON (12) battled well to score narrowly last time and can measure up while SPARKLE LINK (11) is ready to find her best form third up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Global Eclipse to break through.
6 06:30 LockettLED.au Handicap 1200m
Tower Bridge should lead at a strong tempo. TOWER BRIDGE (9) didn't take long to find winning form, coming away to score a dominant maiden victory when last seen at Geelong over 1230m after making the pace. This looks another suitable option for the I Am Invincible colt and he can take that next step. ALIANO (6) is the clear danger coming off a dominant maiden victory at Sale, backed into $1.45 and justifying that quote by 4.5 lengths. He can push on having drawn one outside Tower Bridge and the race should be on from there. BOLD STRIKE (7) resumes with claims. He's more exposed than the others and may find them slightly on the sharp side but he's certainly good enough. VOLATILE (5) was better second up in a good race but did start 150-1 there. ASIATIC (10) has won 2/3 this time in and isn't hopeless at odds.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Tower Bridge to win.
7 07:00 Thoroughbred Club of Australia Handicap 1600m
Itsukushima should find the front with Mislight and Blushing Tycoon on his heels. WACO KID (6) has found form and looks set to go on with it. He broke the maiden effortlessly two back at Wangaratta and went on with it at Cranbourne with another smart victory. This looks a fairly winnable race and he should be hard to hold out once more. EXPRESS GUARD (2) is finding it tough to win but continues to race well. He was beaten under a length last time out and should be right there again. ITSUKUSHIMA (3) has just found one better his past three outings but keeps racing well. He'll likely go straight to the front here and that will be beneficial on this track. BLUSHING TYCOON (1) did enough fresh at Cranbourne in a bunched finish and will be fitter. He doesn't win out of turn but is good enough on his day. MISLIGHT (10) broke her maiden well last time and could measure up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Waco Kid to win.
8 07:30 Sportsbet More Places Handicap 1200m
Expecting a strong tempo with Path To Profit, Fluent and Stellar Mofeed going forward ahead of Written Bligh and Brilliant Horizon. STELLAR MOFEED (6) resumes. She doesn't win out of turn but was racing in good form last preparation, placing in her past four starts before the break in comparatively strong races. She goes very well fresh with 2 wins and should go well here. ESCARPA (4) is flying this time in. She tested a very progressive horse in Tennessee Bound two back and was good again last time in a similar race. She'll be hard to hold out. ATTACHMENTS (1) is a progressive sort off a smart win at Kilmore when scoring by 2.25 lengths. She has plenty of upside at just her sixth start and can go on with it now. BRILLIANT HORIZON (9) is another with upside who has been solid in two runs back. She gets Willo on from the inside gate now and can win. PATH TO PROFIT (10) got her maiden out of the way last time and has claims.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Stellar Mofeed to win.
