NUM TIME COMMENT
1 03:40 SKIN REVIVAL 4YO&UP MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
Solid tempo anticipated with Reverberates and Audenzia leading the way. MOANA GOLD (9) improving mare who returned in good order for the Buchanan yard with a fast finishing second over 1250m at Newcastle. Looking for the 1400m now and expect to see her a little closer to the speed. Top-three prospect. STRASSMAN (6) trained on the track and indicated he was near his top when a tidy second over 1400m at the Sapphire Coast. Up in class and assess on his good third over the 1300m her last prep. Will be doing his best work late. GALWAY FLYER (3) drifted back early on debut when a respectable fourth over 1300m at Hawkesbury. Strips fitter and will keep improving as he gets out in trip. AUDENZIA (8) resumes after running some respectable minor placings at this track last campaign. Fitted with the one 780m trial and shapes as the leading player.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 9,6,3,8.
2 04:20 BEER CARPENTER RACING PROVINCIAL CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1600m
Tricky, given the lack of early speed. CHANNELLING (4) is deep into her prep and has a distinct fitness edge over these. Back in grade after coming out of a strong rating contest when a tough on-pace fifth to The Mona Lisa over 1500m at Rosehill. Will roll forward in a race devoid of speed and prove too good for these. PRO VELOCITY (5) solid Maiden victory two-back, before she copped a bump on jumping when a disappointing fifth over 1600m at Gosford. Can tag the speed with senior rider engaged. Shapes as the main danger. BUSH GIRL (6) scored a well-deserved Maiden win first-up, before racing a little flat when a plugging fifth over 1500m at this track after being in contention on the turn. Place claims look best today. PLAYFUL PUZZLE (7) came from near last on the turn when she resumed with a slashing second over 1400m at Gundagai. Kept up to the mark with a soft 800m trial at this course. Gets map favours and don't underestimate.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Channelling can assert her class.
3 04:55 WOLLONGONG FIRST AID MIDWAY MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Anticipating good pressure with many of these at the races for the first time. ROSE OF FENWAY (6) returned from a let-up at start two, when a gritty on-pace second over 1100m at Hawkesbury in fast time. Only has to hold that form to shed her Maiden status with Alysha Collett retaining the ride. BRUTAL ADVANCE (1) is holding his form at this level and closed off strongly when fourth over 1100m at Hawkesbury. Gets in light with the 3kg claim and likely to roll forward from the sticky draw. Leading prospect. VINGT NEUF NOIR (8) made an even return in town when a plugging seventh over 1100m at Canterbury. Will derive great benefit from that outing and relish the extra trip. Each-way. HERAION (9) winkers go on for this after frustrating the yard this time in. Up in trip from the sticky gate when a battling fifth over 1350m at Wyong. Goes into the exotics.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Rose Of Fenway finds her race.
4 05:30 I98FM'S FEEL GOOD FUN SUPER 3YO MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
Expecting Ballpark to lead War King at just a moderate tempo. WAR KING (7) progressive gelding improving with racing. Jumped in trip and grade with a fast finishing fourth over 1400m at Rosehill in a Super Maiden. Near his peak now and expect to see him hold a forward position today. Go close. BALLPARK (1) supported late in betting on debut when a slashing on-speed second over 1300m at Hawkesbury. Produced good figures on that occasion and has the class to overcome the sticky barrier. TOUSSAINT (13) relished the extra ground at her second run back when she held a forward position for a gritty third over 1400m at Scone. Can tag the speed from the low gate and prove hard to hold out. FREE AND FAST (5) Wootton Bassett gelding out of Charmont on debut for the Anthony & Sam Freedman stable. Has impressed in his last two trials and has a leading rider booked. Stable has an impressive strike rate with the first-starters.  SUGGESTED PLAY: War King in a very strong Maiden.
5 06:00 ASTUTE FINANCE CALL BEC OR BRENT CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1000m
Plenty of pace with Diva Las Vegas and Lull up front, pressured by Girls Weekend and All Adore. ALL ADORE (7) nice filly heading in the right direction. Beat inferior opposition in good style first-up with a slick victory over 1000m at Queanbeyan. Deserves her chance at this level and will prove hard to run down with Keating's 3kg claim. GAMBLER (4) returned excellent closing splits from near last on the turn when resumed with a narrow second over 1100m at Hawkesbury. Drops in trip from the better draw and will prove hard to hold out. DIVA LAS VEGAS (5) returns from a lengthy spell. Started ($1.55 fav) on debut when a sharp winner over 900m at Newcastle on the Heavy 8 surface. Impressed in both trials and will need a good ride from the gate. LULL (6) resumes, and is now in the Maher stable. Impressed in her first campaign with a Maiden win over this track and trip. Fitted with the one trial and the tongue-tie goes on.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 7,4,5,6.
6 06:30 AIB ARA HERE FOR GOOD CG&E BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1400m
Genuine pace with Zale taking up the running ahead of Longinus and Jacob's Time. BLOW IN (4) was strong through the line at his second run back when fifth to Urafiki in a decent rating contest over 1200m at Canberra. Will relish the good tempo and prove hard to hold out. LONGINUS (8) showed a ton of early speed on resumption before knocking up in the straight with a respectable fifth over 1200m at this track. Gets a better set-up for this and looking for this trip and further now. Top-three contender. MEET ME IN BONDI (5) gave his all with the 59kg at his second run back when seventh over 1500m at Newcastle. Gets a more genuine tempo for this and can take a hand in the finish. ARTFUL PERSUASION (1) strips fitter and gets a better set-up for this with the winkers going. Will appreciate the claim in this easier contest after finishing a respectable ninth over 1300m at Rosehill in Midway class. No shock to see him take this out.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 4,8,5,1.
7 07:00 GARY THATCHER MEMORIAL F&M BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1400m
Fast tempo assured with Outta Line, Purple Rose and Peschiera going toe-to-toe. PURPLE ROSE (9) speedy mare racing in career best form. No reason she can't make it three-straight victories after running them ragged when saluting at Wyong in good style over 1350m. Well drawn and will prove hard to hold out. PESCHIERA (3) lightly raced mare unlucky not to have a few more wins on the CV. Battled on gamely from the outside barrier when seventh over 1250m at Canterbury. Has a solid second-up record and gets a better run today. FAST TRACK (8) strengthened over the break and looks to be heading in the right direction. Showed plenty of grit when sitting on the pace to secure second over 1350m at Wyong. Probably looking for further now and should get the right tempo. Each-way. CAN'T TOUCH THIS (1) won two of her last three starts and is well in with the 2kg claim. Likely to go back from the draw and be saved for one crack at them late.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Purple Rose looks hard to stop with the map favours.
