VENTRIS HANDICAP 1650m
REWARDING TWINKLE (2) hasn't been far away in recent efforts in tougher company and has been fancies in the market too. Back to C5 today helps his chances and he should be able to land in a good position in the run. Looks well placed and can land the knockout blow this time. STERLING WONGCHOY (3) dropped back to C5 last time out and finished 0.3L off the winner in a strong return to form. Maps for a similar run this time around and the form out of his last start has been franked. Bowman sticks and another bold showing is expected. PERFECTO MOMENTS (11) hasn't been far away in his recent efforts and now gets the cheekpieces back on today. His last start rates well and a couple of winners have already come out of that event. Can get across from the draw and make his presence felt. LUCKY BLESSING (1) won in a photo last time out and if he can get across from the gate, he'll be hard to run down. |

MORRISON HILL HANDICAP 1200m
RIDING HIGH (6) sat on the speed throughout last start and was only claimed late, going under in a photo finish. Bowman remains in the saddle and this looks to shape similarly to last start. Can sit on the speed once again and land the knockout blow this time. PODIUM (5) stormed home to win impressively over this course and distance, winning by 1.3L in a strong display. He'll be in the second half of the field from the draw, but he rates highly on his latest performance and that form has been franked. Can repeat the dose. TALENTS SUPREMO (3) won well two back before a 1.5L defeat at this track and trip most recently. His recent trial left a little to be desired, though his race form has been strong. Can be in the finish once again. MR GOOD VIBES (11) creates some interest back in trip today off a freshen. |

CANAL HANDICAP 1650m
AEROINVINCIBLE (5) went close last time out, finishing 0.5L off the winner last time out when coming to this track and trip for the first time. Ho remains in the saddle and this looks a very similar race to what he was in last start. Hasn't won for a while but looks poised to go one better today. BULL ATTITUDE (7) has been superb since stepping out to the mile, winning three back and narrowly missing last time out at this track and trip as favourite. Purton remains in the saddle and while he's drawn wide, that won't effect him with his racing pattern. Can get back to winning ways. THE AZURE (2) gets J-Mac in the saddle today following a 1.8L defeat last time out. He had no luck late in the race there and the wide draw will see him able to get wide and stay out of trouble. Can make his presence felt. STORMI (12) comes through a good race last time out and can be in the finish again. |

LONGINES INTERNATIONAL JOCKEYS' CHAMPIONSHIP (HANDICAP) - 1ST LEG 1000m
BUNTA BABY (11) dropped back to this track and trip and didn't have much luck at the start, ending up a long way back before flashing for second behind a smart one. Buick replaces the apprentice hoop and he should be able to sit closer with a cleaner break this time. Can go one better. SUPER SIXTY (2) was held up at a crucial stage here last start when beaten just 1.5L as the race favourite. The wider draw this time is a query, though he does have some early speed and Moreira and Fownes strike at 20% when they team up. Can stay out of trouble this time and land the knockout blow. CAP LINER (6) comes to this track and trip for the first time after some solid come-from-behind efforts down the Sha Tin Straight to begin his career. The Cheekpieces going on should spark him up early and if he can take closer order under Barzalona, then he'll go close to winning. ZETA HEDGE (5) was strong from the front here on debut as a $23 chance. Rates highly on that effort and looks a key player. |

LONGINES INTERNATIONAL JOCKEYS' CHAMPIONSHIP (HANDICAP) - 2ND LEG 1650m
CORLEONE (3) returned with a bang over this course and distance, settling in behind the speed before bolting in by 2.3L. He's trialled very nicely since then and he looks beautifully placed under Moore. He's on the rise and he looks ready to take the next step. AMAZING GAZE (6) finished off nicely as the race favourite last time out but was just a little too far back to threaten, beaten 2L. The cheekpieces go on now for Barzalona and that may see him sit a touch closer in the run. Nice horse on the way up and can notch up his maiden win without surprising. YOUTH POWER (10) hasn't been far away in recent efforts and this looks to set up perfectly for him with Purton hopping in the saddle. Drops slightly in weight today and he should get every possible chance. CAN'T GO WONG (7) will likely get back in the run, but coming back to this track and trip is a strong move. Watch for him flying late. |

SPORTS HANDICAP 1200m
WINNING MONEY (10) never got into the race over 1000m fresh and came to this track and trip last time out, missing out by 0.5L. Purton hops in the saddle now and he's knocking on the door of his maiden win. This sets up beautifully for him and he can score his maiden win this time around. FLYING WROTE (4) got the job done back in October and has been back to the trials since then after being withdrawn on vet's advice in early November. His latest trial was very good and he maps for a lovely run just off the speed. Can return on a positive note. ARGENTO OCEAN (2) has been kept up to the mark with a recent trial following a 1L victory at this track and trip as favourite. The form out of that race has stacked up nicely and the inside draw is a big tick. Can repeat the dose once again. SKY CAP (1) can feature in the finish first-up with Moreira booked in what looks a targeted assault. |

FLYING FORTRESS (2) was just plain to begin this campaign before stepping up to this track and trip last start and bouncing back to his best form. Purton hops in the saddle now following that strong performance and this looks to set up beautifully for him. Can go one better this time around. SAMARKAND (8) was building towards his last start win, leading and kicking away to score by 1.3L at this track and trip. He drops in weight today with the rise in grade, though the inside draw should see him prominent in the run once again. Will be tough to run down. BEAUTY GLORY (12) returned to this track and trip last time out and got back to winning ways, leading all the way. He's another that drops in weight and rises in grade with Moreira hopping in the saddle. Rates highly off that victory and can make every post a winner again. SILVERY BREEZE (3) is knocking on the door and won't be far away. |

AKASHVANI (5) won well two back before a narrow defeat last start as the $1.80 favourite. He rates highly on that effort despite being caught late in the race and McDonald gets the ride today. Maps beautifully and can return to winning ways. MR DESIRA (9) was far too good over the 1000m journey last start. Up in trip now, but he is a winner over this track and trip three back. Likely to hold the lead from the inside barrier and will be tough to run down. KYRUS DRAGON (1) missed in a photo finish over this course and distance a fortnight ago when flying late in the race. Will need some luck from out wide, though there does look to be some good speed engaged with Purton hopping on board. He's 1/1 when partnering and he can storm home over the top. TOURBILLON GOLFER (12) has trialled well since a good win here in easier company 35 days ago and can be tough to catch. |

WONG NAI CHUNG HANDICAP 1800m
THE BOOM BOX (11) stepped out to 1650m last time out and was far too good, winning by 0.8L when running over the top. Out to this trip for the first time today, though it does look to suit on what he showed last time out. Down in the weights now and he profiles beautifully for a race like this. SPEED DRAGON (2) never really got into the race last start but his win here fresh was superb. He's unbeaten at this track and trip and he's a horse that suits Barzalona's racing style perfectly. Third-up now in what looks a targeted race and he can bounce back to winning ways. SKY HEART (7) stuck on well 10 days ago at Sha Tin over the mile and steps out to this trip for the third time in his career. He should land in a beautiful position under Rispoli and his effort here two back was very impressive. Can be in the finish once more. HUGE WAVE (4) was too good over 1650m last time out and can repeat the dose out in trip for the first time. |
