NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:34 RELIABLE ASSET MAINTENANCE MAIDEN 1000m
Tricky one to map with a number of first starters but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. DUST ASIDE (2) bumped into a good one on debut at Pinjarra down the straight course when not running up to his trial efforts. He's again trialled sharply this time in work and the inside draw should see him get very chance. Can land the knockout blow on resumption. GRACEFUL LASS (9) hit the line nicely in her only trial this time in work but had shown good ability through the winter months in a couple of public outings. Chris Parnham sticks after partnering her in her last two trials and she looks right up to this on debut. DARK OPAL (5) was very impressive at the trials recently in readiness for this, winning her only heat by 3.1L. Fiore remains in the saddle from the trial and she should be able to sit handy from the draw. Can make her presence felt. THE NUN (10) is another who has trialled well coming into this, hitting the line impressively at her latest heat. Worth keeping safe. BUBBLES IN RIO (4) is better than he showed last time out and can bounce back.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Dust Aside looks the one to beat in the opener.
2 02:09 TABTOUCH - HAVE YOU GOT THE TOUCH HANDICAP 1200m
No surprise if the first starters played a key role in the tempo of the race with little speed on paper. A SUMMER FLING (7) looks an exciting prospect on debut, winning her last three trials, two of those this time in work. Pike hasn't been on board for her outings but has been booked for her debut in a good push for her chances. Looks to have good ability and can make a winning start to her career. LIKE CLOCKWORK (5) ran over the top to win impressively on debut at Bunbury, turning in a strong figure. She loses CJP but is nicely weighted after the claim of Tsang. Likely to get back again but can storm over the top to remain unbeaten. BRAVE WASP (1) jumped favourite at Bunbury off a short break and couldn't reel in the winner, beaten 0.8L. Tougher here, but he's shown he's better than we saw last start and with that run under his belt, he can bounce back to his best. WHY SHE STAYED (6) was too good at Bunbury on Sunday and is a live chance if she handles the back up. DICKENS (9) can feature first-up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: A Summer Fling gets the nod.
3 02:44 GLENROY CHAFF MAIDEN 1800m
Genuine pace with Final Call taking up the running ahead of Mad Spitfire and Giles. FINAL CALL (5) should be at his peak fitness now third-up and getting out in trip looks a good move. While he's been run down his past couple, he'll be able to dictate from the front up in trip and he won't have to work as hard early this time around. Can notch up his maiden victory. PEMBETON (8) finished off well over the 1400m at Belmont last start when tackling stronger company, finishing 0.5L off the winner. On the quick turnaround today as he steps up in trip for the first time. His recent efforts suggest it should suit and it wouldn't surprise to see him go one better. VEXATIOUS ROSE (13) flew home over 2000m at Pinjarra last time out, going under by 1.8L after jumping the odds-on favourite. She's likely to be back from the draw again today as she comes back in trip, but she's sure to be flashing late. MACHO ARQUERO (1) is racing well and has to be included on recent efforts. ROCKING IN BROOME (9) was massive on debut at big odds and is not to be discounted.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Final Call gets the nod.
4 03:20 MCA POLYTRACK HANDICAP 1600m
Strong early tempo with Elounda Star and Sky River leading the way. SEVEN CANDLES (1) jumped the odds-on fav at Pinjarra first-up following some nice trials and saluted impressively. The splits he ran to reel in his rivals were superb and he looks to have stacks of upside. Out in trip looks an ideal move and he may be able to take closer order from the draw. Looks the one to beat. PONY UP (6) jumped favourite last start when coming back from the Champion Fillies and finished 1.9L off the winner. That was a solid performance however and this looks to shape similarly. The 3kg claim comes in handy and she's expected to be in the finish. GINGER AND TONIC (3) closed off strongly from back in the field to end up 1.7L off the winner as an 80-1 shot. She turned in a good figure there and step back up in trip looks ideal. Can feature with a repeat performance. OISIN (2) is better than he showed last time out and can improve with Parnham replacing the apprentice. SKY GOD (5) is on the quick turnaround and is not to be discounted.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Seven Candles can go back-to-back.
5 03:50 A1 ENGINEERING HANDICAP 1000m
Solid tempo with Favoured Son to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. ICANDOIT ONMYOWN (6) went through to the Belmont Guineas in the winter after building nicely in her efforts prior. Her latest trial was good at Lark Hill and the 3kg claim gets her in nicely at the weights. Can return on a positive note. SOUND OF SPEED (5) missed in a photo first-up at this track and trip before a 1.5L defeat here just last week. The 3kg claim comes in handy and he'll be on the speed once again. Will take some catching third-up. BRAVE APACHE (2) bolted in fresh before a 1.7L defeat at Albany last time out. Tougher here but he's building nicely this campaign. KING'S DRAMA (4) is better than we've seen his past couple and is not to be discounted.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Icandoit Onmyown can return with a bang.
6 04:20 WITTENS IRRIGATION AND DESIGN HANDICAP 1000m
Art Session to take charge ahead of Tycoon Harry at a solid tempo. SCULLY (3) has been racing in good order in Saturday company, giving away big starts and running on strongly from the back. Back to 1000m today as he drops to midweek company and maps to be in a handy position under Parnham. Can bounce back to winning ways in this suitable assignment. ART SESSION (6) comes through a Saturday race where he was only 1.5L off the winner in a bunched finish. The wide draw is a niggle, but if he can get across from out wide then he'll be in this for a very long way. AZENA (11) comes here without a trial but the booking of Pike suggests she's ready to fire fresh. Not to be discounted. TYCOON HARRY (2) gets the blinkers back on today and can bounce back.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Scully makes plenty of appeal.
7 05:00 SWAN DRAUGHT HANDICAP 1400m
Solid tempo with Showlas leading from True Blue Bondi and Five Down. CONCHETTA'S DREAM (11) showed she was a nice filly on the way up with an impressive maiden win last time out as the short-priced favourite. Pike rides again today from an inside draw and the rise to 1400m looks perfect. Can build on what she did last start and continue through the grades. SHOWLAS (3) has plenty of early speed and drops back to a CL3 today after a strong performance in the Grandstand Cup at Pinjarra last time out. She'll roll to the front once again under Azzopardi and coming back in grade will see her very hard to hold out. TRUE BLUE BONDI (5) is building nicely this time in work, finishing just 0.5L behind an in-form galloper at Belmont last time out. He draws a better gate this time around and with further improvement expected third-up, he'll be right in the finish. PURE OBSESSION (2) is better than we saw last time out and can return to form back in grade. SWEET SURRENDER (9) can make an impression first-up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Conchetta's Dream looks hard to beat.
8 05:40 UNITE RESOURCING HANDICAP 2200m
Strong tempo primarily from Dandy's Gem, Monty Zoomer and Estimator over Allegro Sonata and Almaya. DANDY'S GEM (6) is racing in top order, bouncing back last time out to go under in a photo finish at Pinjarra when the race favourite. Fiore replaces the apprentice hoop today and while she's drawn wide, she has the speed to work across from the deep. Will handle the rise in trip and be tough to mow down. NEAP TIDE (2) made it back-to-back wins 27 days ago with Pike in the saddle and has been back to the trials since that effort at Bunbury to keep him ticking over. The wide draw is a niggle, though Pike remains in the saddle and he's a winner over this trip previously. Ticks plenty of boxes and looks the main danger. VANCOUVER STORM (15) draws a much better gate today and should be able to sit much closer than he did last time out when staying on strongly late. Rates highly on that effort and he's sure to be in the finish once again. ALMAYA (8) can bounce back to form following a disappointing run last time out. MONTY ZOOMER (10) won't be far away.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Dandy's Gem can go one better in the last.
