THE MERCURE KOOINDAH WATERS HEROES OF HOSPITALITY BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1600m
Oakfield Saturn and Naughty Nurse to take it up. SQUEEZEBOX (4) doesn't win out of turn but does look well placed in this here at home. Close to the winner this trip last time at Gosford and placed only try here. Has a win and two minors from three at the trip. Going along well and gets chance for an overdue win. UNCLE HARRY (3) raced on speed and fought on well to score at Newcastle in similar class last time. Low draw and will be stalking the lead throughout. Can win again. OAKFIELD SATURN (1) is a local who is going well and at peak fitness now. Placed only try course and distance and looks a strong hope. NAUGHTY NURSE (6) is a last start Port winner who settled back but circled and won with authority. Will be winding up strongly. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Squeezebox. |

MAGIC MILLIONS DIGITAL MAIDEN HANDICAP 1350m
Moderate pace only with Daphnes leading Oakfield Mars. Very intriguing maiden with a host of possibilities. MICHELANGELO (3) is a five-start maiden yet to place but was tested to the top-level finishing eighth in the Gr1 Champagne Stakes before a break. Long spell and gelded since. Some of his worst ratings are better than these so could well get off the mark here fresh if on song. DAPHNES (2) was a close-up sixth fresh at Canterbury and will relish the extra ground. Fitter and expected to improve sharply. YATTAZOU (4) has placed one of five but has been going around in far richer maidens. Back in trip and will be tough to stop. SAVEUR (8) sat wide throughout with no cover fresh and the run far better than it looked. Drawn for a perfect trail this time and no surprise to see sharp improvement. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Michelangelo fresh. |

EBH BUILDING GROUP PROVINCIAL BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1200m
In a small field either Thankful Heart or Spice Baby will find the front. Small field but tough race. CONFESS OUR DREAMS (1) has been over a year since a win but this is the easiest assignment for quite some time. Drawn for a good run with cover and aided by the claim. Gets chance to find form. SMILING PROPHET (5) is a lightly raced mare who resumed off a long break with a barnstorming win. Fitter again and poor 1200m record is better than it reads. Goes very well here and will be running on hard again. SPICE BABY (8) has the most upside being a three-start filly yet to miss the frame including a debut win. Goes very well for Day and with good speed will take catching. HELLISH (2) just missed fresh then had little go right latest in far richer company. Goes well third-up and worth another chance. PUERTO BANUS (4) was disappointing in town latest and did win only try course and distance. Can improve sharply. SUGGESTED PLAY: Confess Our Dreams can atone. |

MAGIC MILLIONS WYONG 2YO CLASSIC 1100m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large number of first starters. Intriguing race with three angles. Masvingo and Paradoxium from the same day at Randwick early in the spring, Seeiaye and Mystical who ran 1/2 at their debut and of course the first starters. MASVINGO (7) made her debut in the Gimcrack at Randwick and after giving a start stormed home to finish third in a three-way photo. Eye-catching run and put away since. PARADOXIUM (4) made his debut in the Breeders Plate on the same day at Randwick, sitting handy and boxing on well for fourth. Perhaps less impressive but they did run quicker time than the girls. Doubt either will be maidens long. SEEIAYE (5) made debut in the Max Lees Stakes at Newcastle and led throughout for a sharp win. Can only be improved and will take catching again. MYSTICAL (8) kicked off in the same race and after getting back stormed home to finish second. Expected to be doing the same here. BEHINDCLOSEDDOORS (6) is a filly by Home Affairs out of Do Not Disturb and has looked handy in three trials. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Masvingo. |

COWYN BUILDING GROUP MIDWAY BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1100m
The Escape, Justice Warrior and Northlander to battle for the lead at a strong tempo. Plenty of early pressure may well suit the more seasoned SUNDAY TYCOON (4). Has been going well without winning, is a course and distance winner already and is aided by the handy claim. Will park just off the hot pace and could be over the odds. NORTHLANDER (6) was heavily bet at Canberra on debut and got the job done. Drawn to box seat and expected to measure up. CUBAN CIGAR (10) is another debut winner and returns here after a strong win at Dubbo in a hot form race. Has good speed and take catching. VIVIAN'S EXPRESS (7) had just one start last time in and was a heavy track winner. Given time and worth keeping safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sunday Tycoon could be value. |

MAGIC MILLIONS WYONG 3YO & 4YO STAKES 1200m
Irish Jig and O' Ole can lead the small field. SPYWIRE (3) returned at Kembla and after settling off the speed surged late with some slick sectionals to score. Strips fitter and has placed 3/3 when second-up. Expected to go close again. KING OF ROSEAU (2) returns to NSW after a successful spring carnival in Melbourne. Won the Aurie's Star up the straight at Flemington early in the spring then had a break before finishing fourth there in the Fischer Stakes at the end of the carnival. Has placed 3/4 when second-up and has the talent to feature here. O' OLE (9) is another who is second-up after tacking the spring carnival in Melbourne. Resuming from a long break in the Red Roses Stakes was well off best. Has since trialled sharply and did win the Gold Coast Magic Millions the start prior. Expected to bounce back. THE THREE HUNDRED (4) led throughout to win the Winx Guineas on the Sunshine Coast two back over the winter carnival. Fitter for two trials and will be winding up late this sharper trip. The speedy DIVO (6) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stick with Spywire. |

SLATTERY GRAYS AUCTION GROUP BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 2100m
Only a small field with Craft likely to find a comfortable lead. GATCHAN (7) doesn't win out of turn either but has been bursting to win in three runs this time in. Missed in a photo last time and with the claim here should be in the finish again. DUE CALZINI (1) is another going well without winning. Will find this easier than the Country Classic in town last time and did win only try this trip. The knock is 12 tries on top of the ground and yet to score. RHINESTONE LAD (6) is an honest type who has been winding up strongly. Has placed 2/2 this course and distance and in the mix on best. VIESTE (9) is a mare who doesn't twin out of turn and has been over a year out of the winners stall. But last two have been really good just missing two back then a close-up fourth in a BM74 latest. Drawn low and with good speed can give a sight at odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow in on Gatchan. |
