Open to improvement and looks a contender. LADY ORBIT (3) produced a fair effort on debut last time out when 7 lengths from the winner in eighth at this track over 1200m. Nicely placed and deserves respect. |

BLACK ERIKA (2) returned last time with a solid third at this track over 1200m. Much improved run and has upside. Hard to beat in this suitable race. FANTINE (5) finished 3 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 1200m at this track, an improvement on her seventh on debut at Durbanville the run before. Well placed and can feature in the finish. SWIFT SERENITY (1) is yet to break through in six runs. Finished 12th at her last appearance over 1500m at Durbanville on October 25. Freshened and back in trip. Has placed 2/4 here and worth another try. WINTER IN AUCKLAND (3) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at this track, beaten 4 lengths. Fitter so expect a better run this time. |

CASSANDRA (6) is a progressive type who returned from a break with a solid run over further. Will be much fitter for it and the sharper trip suits, having placed 2/3 attempts. Hard to hold out with leading rider going aboard. LOUI'S STAR (5) turn din a good run when placed over the mile here latest. Overdue and worth following up. BEAUTIFUL ONE (2) is fitter for two runs in and looks ideally suited out to the mile now. Top chance. KISSES (3) can improve on recent efforts. Has speed and will take catching. |

PEACHES AND CREAM (8) finished out of the money when fresh from a spell two starts back then was beaten 5 lengths when fourth over 1400m at this track a month ago. Should be near her top and extra trip suits now. Worth following up. HER WORLD (1) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2.75 lengths when fifth over 1600m at this track three weeks ago. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. LILTING SONG (2) was below her best last time when seventh over 1600m at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths. Strong winning hope on recent form and leading rider goes aboard. |

The top three selections finished 123 last time and going the same way. WINTER SNAP (3) was the winner and did look impressive. Settled last but came with a huge finish to score. Fitter again and looks hard to hold out despite the extra weight. BLACK CHEETAH (2) settled just off speed and loomed up but was nabbed last stride by Winter Snap. Also fitter again and meets the winner 1.5kg better. Can turn the tables. ELUSIVE WINTER (4) led both those up and fought on well for third. Meets the winner far better this time with the claim and will give a sight again. DEMANDING DAVE (6) is racing well with wins at two of last three. Goes well course and distance and best figures stack right up. Can win again. |

LEGAL COUNSEL (2) is the one to beat here. Won the Grade 3 Cape Mile here last time and can only be improved. Won three of four starts this circuit and expected to go close. CAPTAIN WEST (6) is a speedy galloper well placed here. Plenty to like about his prospects and will give a sight. I SALUTE YOU (7) is fitter and should progress sharply from that first-up run. Winning rider goes back aboard. HIS MAJESTY (5) is the interesting runner. Five-year-old entire facing the starter for the first time. Out of Group 3 winner Czabo. Top rider aboard and worth keeping very safe. |
