NUM TIME COMMENT
1 10:00 Maiden Race 1600m
INAZUMA DAIMON (2) started favourite last time over 1600m at this track but found one better, making it three minor placings from three career starts. Should enjoy a nice run and in a race that lacks depth he should break through. COURAGEOUS BEAT (11) is back after a break of nine weeks. At the last run before the layoff he finished fifth over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Good effort to open last prep when in the money at Chukyo Dirt over 1800m. Set for a bold return. SHOOTING GUY (5) improved last start to finish third over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt after being in contention on the corner. Should play a pivotal role. SEIUN REMEMBER (12) is a four-start maiden who finished third over 1600m at this track last time out after being in the firing line on the corner. Nice each-way option.
2 10:30 Maiden Race 1400m
MIKKI D'AMOUR (11) did a good job on debut last time out, finishing 1.5 lengths from the winner in fourth over 1600m at this track. Has upside and can open his account. ITOSHISA (3) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing a neck from the winner in second over 1600m at this track. Big chance based on that effort. VENT DE BONHEUR (12) finished second last time over 1400m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. That was a significant improvement on the debut the run prior. Heading the right way so expect a forward showing. DOLMABAHCE (14) finished third last time over 1400m at this track, beaten 2 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Nicely placed to fill a top-three spot again.
3 11:00 Maiden Race 2000m
M'S BEGIN (3) ran on well to get up for second on debut last start over 1800m at Kyoto in an encouraging performance. Has plenty of upside so he should pay to follow. SEKITEI LINO (1) returned last time with a solid second at this track over 1800m after being in contention on the corner. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish. HEROIC VERSE (12) did a fair job on debut last time out, finishing 1.75 lengths from the winner in fourth over 1800m at this track. Likely improver who is among the better chances. GRAN ALTO (13) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 7 lengths when fourth over 2000m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago. Can do a lot better.
4 11:30 Maiden Race 1600m
FINGER (6) is a two-start maiden who looks close to a win after placing at both runs, the latest when second over 1600m at this track. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Looks a bit better than these. MAC LIR (2) will find this a little easier than his second on debut a month ago, beaten 4 lengths at the end of 1600m at this track. Likely improver so he will prove tough to beat. NOBORIFUJI (7) produced a fair effort on debut last time out when 6 lengths from the winner in fourth at this track over 1600m. Top-three chance. YAMAME IKKA (12) made his debut last start and was just fair in finishing fifth at this track over 1600m, beaten 7 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement.
5 12:20 Allowance Race 1400m
MAX Q (2) lines up for the first time since June 8. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1400m at this track. Expect him to play a major role. KUNINO HAPPY (11) filled yet another minor placing last time when 3.5 lengths adrift in second over 1400m at this track after being in the firing line all the way. Likely improver with strong prospects. THREE PEACE (3) ran on strongly but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1300m at this track. Has race fitness on his side now. Placed to advantage and can run another bold race. SANTA ANITA (7) was below her best last time when 5.5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1400m at this track. Should park just off the speed. Deserves respect on best figures.
6 12:50 Newcomer Race 1600m
GRASBERG (10) is a two-year-old filly by Admire Mars out of Gold Essence stepping out on debut for the Takashi Saito stable. Should measure up. Keep a close eye on betting. FERMI ARC (3) is a two-year-old filly by Saturnalia out of Fermion on debut for the Kazutomo Mori stable. Drawn nicely which is a big tick. Watch for positive market leads. CLAIRE NOA (1) is a two-year-old filly on debut from the stable of T Kubota. By Admire Mars from Lililehua. Respect any positive move in betting. EVANS BAY (11) is a well-bred two-year-old filly lining up for the first time. By Isla Bonita from the former top race mare Evading Tempete who has been a successful producer. Looks set to make a positive start to her career despite a tricky barrier.
7 01:20 Newcomer Race 1400m
PARENT'S GIFT (10) is a two-year-old filly facing the starter for the first time. Out of Group 3 winner Parent's Prayer. Is likely to play a major role. CELESTE REGALO (8) is a two-year-old filly facing the starter for the first time. Out of Group 3 winner Dea Regalo. Should be there at the finish. STAR PLANE (14) is a two-year-old colt on debut from the stable of Minoru Oguri. By Maurice from Toho Amapola. Expect a bold run. CAFE LOVER (5) is a two-year-old filly on debut from the stable of Shoichiro Wada. By Maurice from Moana Anela. Top-three chance.
8 01:50 Allowance Race 1400m
PARAPSYCHOLOGY (7) returns from a spell of three months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when fifth over 1200m at Niigata Dirt. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Best figures should see her run well. MORNING MAGIC (9) resumed over 1400m at this track last start and was too good for her rivals, scoring by half a length. Record at this trip is excellent and she looms as a significant threat. CEREJEIRA (2) improved sharply on her sixth two starts back at Hanshin Dirt with success over 1200m at Niigata Dirt four weeks ago, getting home by 4 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Stepping up a level this time but on her best form she is right in contention. QUEEN'S DENEB (13) has not won for a long while. Last raced on October 26 when beaten 2.5 lengths into fifth at this track over 1600m. Won't find this as tough so she can return to the winners' list.
9 02:20 NAMBU TOKUBETSU 2400m
AARON'S ROD (1) built on his credentials at the most recent appearance when successful by a neck over 2400m at this track, the first run of this campaign. Has a strong association with Christophe Lemaire who has been in the saddle for his last two wins. Bold showing expected. JUN TSUBAMEGAESHI (4) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second last start over 2400m at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. PASSION RICH (11) bounced back to form last start and finished second over 2000m at Niigata, beaten one length. Has the ability to test this field. SANKA SHIGURE (8) kicked off this campaign with a win then couldn't follow that up last time out when fourth over 2400m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Can make amends.
10 02:55 BANSHU STAKES 2100m
CHAMPAGNE POP (4) did a great job to score by 5 lengths over this course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. Going up a level this time but he is good enough to play a major role. KYOKIRAMBU (11) turned in a fine effort to score by 2.5 lengths at this track and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Taking on a better field but he is up to the task. NOT ENOUGH (9) was in the firing line on the bend and finished second last start at the first run back from a spell over 2100m at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths. Has started twice at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Nicely placed to play a major role. ERIKA SAPPHIRE (15) was last at the races when she finished second over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt on April 19. Has to be respected despite the long lay-off.
11 03:30 THE TOKYO SPORTS HAI NISAI STAKES 1800m
Some very smart youngsters come together. DANON HISTORY (9) wasted no time getting off the mark as favourite on debut over 1800m at this track five-and-a-half months ago and has not raced since. Promising type who can measure up again despite taking on a far deeper race. REICHSADLER (4) impressed when successful as favourite on debut over 1800m at Nakayama ten weeks ago and has not appeared since. Has plenty of upside and looks to have a very bright future. LORBEERKRANZ (5) has not been sighted since he scored over 2000m at Chukyo on August 17, the only run of that campaign. Keeps improving and can give this a shake. PEINTRE NAIF (10) looks to launch this prep the way he ended the last nine weeks ago when he scored over 1800m at Nakayama. Strong contender.
12 04:05 Allowance Race 1600m
RED KINGLY (7) is a promising galloper who resumes from a break. Last raced when second over 1400m at this track six-and-a-half months ago which was the only run of that prep. Goes well when fresh and looks the testing material. BEST SCENE (2) did a good job last start to finish second at Niigata over 1600m, beaten half a length. Should be at his peak now. Yet to break through at this journey but has placed at all four tries and should prove tough to beat. ORGULLECIDA (13) is back at the races for the first time since September 15. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1800m at this track. Comes here with definite top-three claims. ART VIVANT (12) looks to kick off this prep the way he ended the last seven months ago when he scored over 1800m at this track. Ticks all the right boxes.
