AFGRI EQUIPMENT MAIDEN 2200m
Small field but expecting a genuine tempo with plenty of pace engaged. Tricky race to begin. INTO THE FUTURE (7) is a lightly raced commodity who makes plenty of appeal out to this trip for the first time today. The blinkers come off now and the claim of Cheung will see her right down in the weights. Can see her getting to the front and dictating proceedings. Can get the job done this time. HARRIS ROAD (2) couldn't go with a big winner last start but he was best of the rest at this track and trip last time out. His last two figures stack up in this field and there doesn't look to be any world beaters in this maiden. Should get the gun run and can make his presence felt. OBSCENTINO (1) comes through the same race as Harris Road last start and has placed in 3/6 attempts over this course and distance. Louis replaces the apprentice hoop and he's not out of this. LEAD CINGA (6) can improve out in distance. ELECTRIC BEC (5) is another who can put her best foot forward now out in distance and with the blinkers going back on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Into The Future gets the nod. |

SWAN DRAUGHT MAIDEN 1400m
A race that lacks early pressure on paper. THE CRIMSON PIRATE (1) showed plenty of talent in his debut campaign but got a long way off the leader/winner last start when the race favourite. He was solid to the line there and the rise in trip looks ideal. Love that the ear muffs come off and he looks the one to beat. AUSSIE REACTOR (2) has flown home in his past two outings, beaten 0.4L at this track and trip 11 days ago. The horse he finished behind there won at Ascot on Tuesday. Can sit much closer from the barrier this time around and put his best foot forward. ADMIRE ASTRA (7) just missed as favourite on debut before flying home over this track and trip last time out. Blinkers go on now as she comes here on the quick turnaround. Pike remains in the saddle however and she's expected to be in the finish again. BONDI LIFESAVER (3) comes through the same race as The Crimson Pirate and has claims. TANUNDA (5) creates interest on debut. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Crimson Pirate looks the one to beat. |

AVON VALLEY TOYOTA HANDICAP 1000m
A solid tempo anticipated with Favourite Songs and Dolce Diva ahead of Weapons Hot and Mighty Hosanna. DE GRANDHOMME (2) won impressively at Geraldton two back before a disappointing run at Belmont last time out. Back to 1000m again now and the inside draw should see him in a handy position in running. Happy to overlook his poor effort last start and he can return to his best. MAGALI MAGIC (3) drops right back in grade today after finishing 1L away in Saturday company at Ascot 12 days ago. She boasts a strong record at this track and trip and Brad Parnham taking the ride is a positive sign. Appears the main danger. MAGNIQUE (1) showed promising signs through her last campaign and looks back in good order judging by her latest trial. Carries the top weight, but she's a classy customer and she'll turn in a bold sight on return. MIGHTY HOSANNA (4) is better than she showed first-up where she dropped right out of contention. Can bounce back. FAVOURITE SONGS (6) is next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: De Grandhomme can return to winning ways. |

TABTOUCH BETTER YOUR BET MAIDEN 1100m
Godless Storm and Tennessee Spirit possess good early speed. TENNESSEE SPIRIT (10) was heavily backed on debut and bumped into a smart one who jumped an odds-on chance on Tuesday at Ascot. She led them up there and just couldn't fend off the leader. Has the speed to roll across from out wide and with that run under her belt, she can go one better. GABEX (11) flew home last start over 1200m behind a dominant winner and we may have seen that formline work out already today. Back to 1100m today is a slight query, but she maps to hold a closer position this time around and can make her presence felt. DASHING DIVA (12) wasn't beaten far over this course and distance 32 days ago and the form out of that race has worked out nicely. Draw is a niggle, but she's racing well enough to be in the finish. GODLESS STORM (2) is first-up for over 560 days but his recent trial suggests he's not out of this. Watch for market moves. COMMON TOUCH (9) won a trial recently and is not out of this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tennessee Spirit gets the nod. |

Strong pace from Rising Fame and Final Call matching motors with Itzabeast close at hand. STORM AWAY (7) was strong first-up at Ascot before tackling the Belgravia Stakes last start over 1200m. Up slightly in trip today, but he drops right back to a maiden. He's shown he's much stronger than this grade and can pick up his maiden victory in this suitable assignment. RISING FAME (8) was only fair first-up but bounced right back to form last start when leading the field off a short freshen, beaten 2L. The wide draw is a query, but she does have early speed to offset the alley. Improvement is expected now and she's sure to be right in the finish. FINAL CALL (2) showed he's ready to fire first-up in a recent heat at Lark Hill where he got the job done. This trip first-up looks perfect and he should land in a great spot in running. He makes plenty of appeal. ITZABEAST (1) is third-up now and can raise the bar. VIRESHA (12) will be better for the debut performance and is not to be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Storm Away can pick up his maiden win. |

NORTHAM STAKES 3 MAY 2026 HANDICAP 1400m
Solid tempo anticipated with Super Sunny taking charge. ARTISTRY IN MOTION (1) was trending the right way before dropping back to 1200m of the Belgravia Stakes where he was well beaten as a 60-1 chance. He looks better suited coming back to this grade following a strong run in Open 3YO company two back. Can cross to the lead and bounce back to winning ways. ESTA MIRANDO (7) won impressively first-up at this course before getting a long way back and never really getting into the race in a CL3 at Belmont last time out. The inside draw can see her sit much closer today and the winkers go on. Can bounce back with Pike remaining in the saddle. PONY UP (8) box seated and landed the knockout blow at Belmont 15 days ago, running away to win impressively. The map looks a little sticky for her, but she's shown plenty of class and with improvement expected, she'll be hard to hold out. SUPER SUNNY (3) was solid from the front last time out and is not out of this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Artistry In Motion is the one to beat. |

AND THATS A WRAP FOR 2025 HANDICAP 1300m
A solid tempo on the cards with Pat's Last Bang heading them off. SILENT DIVA (8) never got into the race on resumption at Belmont but looks primed for a much better run this time around. Pike replaces the apprentice hoop and she's drawn for a much better run today from an inside draw. Can build on the fresh run and return to winning ways. STRAPPING PROPHET (2) flew home over 1200m at Belmont first-up when jumping the race favourite. He can sit closer today from a better draw as well as the slight rise in trip. Closed off nicely last start and he looks a big threat with plenty of upside. GOLDEN KATHLEEN (1) won impressively here two back before finishing strongly last start to be 0.6L off the winner. Been a while without a win, but she's knocking on the door and has to be included. HOBA METEOR (7) just missed last start behind a progressive type and that figure stacks up in this event. PAT'S LAST BANG (6) looks better suited back to a race like this and is not to be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Silent Diva can return to winning ways. |
