GARRY DYER MAIDEN 950m
Speed should be right on over the 950m journey. BEYOND THE WALL (1) just missed in a photo finish here two back before a 1L defeat at Northam most recently when favourite. He can find the front again today back to this track and trip and with Chris Parnham remaining in the saddle. Knocking on the door and looks to have found his race. BARBIELAND (4) led them up over this track and trip a fortnight ago when beaten 0.7L second-up into the campaign. The inside barrier should see her close to the speed again and there is further improvement anticipated now. Right on the cusp and appears the main danger. MUZZA'S GIFT (6) was good here on debut as favourite before a disappointing effort at Northam last time out. Back to this scenario looks to suit and the blinkers go on now. Expecting her to make her presence felt. PRINCE (3) looked good in a recent trial in readiness for this and returns a gelding. Right in the mix. CHAMPAGNE COAST (5) was solid here first-up and looks an improver with the blinkers going on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Beyond The Wall can get the job done. |

GLEN FRASER MAIDEN 950m
Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a solid tempo. CIRCUS ANGEL (6) was scratched from the races on July 16 due to a floating mishap, so she lines up here to get her career underway. She's shown good ability and speed at the trials and she's sure to be prominent with no weight on her back. Can land the knockout blow on debut. GREY REVOLUTION (4) resumes without a trial following a 91-day let up where she disappointed at the end of last campaign. Some gear changes can see a reversal in form and the 3kg claim comes in handy. Looks an improver. NISTIRITH (5) showed speed on debut before folding up late and beaten 2.1L at Northam. Back in trip looks ideal for her from an inside barrier and she'll have no weight on her back. Will be in this for a long way. EXTREME RULER (3) won't be far away third-up into the campaign. LE BEAU (2) is next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Circus Angel can score on debut. |

TROY BLECHYNDEN HANDICAP 2000m
Moderate tempo with Couldhavebeen leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. OCEAN RANGER (7) held his own back in trip last start after a good performance over 2000m the start prior. He was off a 63-day break there and he's bound to be fitter for that effort. ZJP's claim helps and with a kind map, he can get back to winning ways. SUNNY TIMES (2) landed midfield and ran over the top to score at Kalgoorlie last start. Out to 2000m again now where he is 1/4 and he proved he can handle the surface here two back. Looks a key player. AHH CHOUX (6) creates plenty of interest coming back from the Belmont Oaks where she was out classed. Her runs prior were sound however and she looked to be trending the right way. Can put her best foot forward back to this grade. SIROTA (8) just missed at Pinjarra last start and has to be included. ONLY US (5) wasn't far away over 1800m here last time out and is not to be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ocean Ranger can get the job done. |

RHIANNON PODZIUKA HANDICAP 2000m
Expecting Salary Man and Argyle Star to pair off in front. BELLA VIOLETTA (5) bumped into one first-up at Bunbury before a good effort over 1500m last start at this track. Straight up to 2000m now is interesting, but Parnham sticks with her and her breeding suggests it's no issue. Looks to be trending the right way and finds a suitable race to knock over her maiden. BEGAAFD (3) hasn't been far away lately, beaten 2.4L after sitting close to the speed last start at Northam. Back in trip looks ideal now and back onto a firmer surface looks to suit also. Needs some luck from the draw but won't be far away. MASTER TACTICIAN (2) has been racing well over the mile recently and now steps up to 2000m again today. He's likely to get back from the draw, but his best form rates highly and he won't be far away. SLUICE BOX (6) will find this much easier than last start and has to be included dropping in grade. SALARY MAN (10) can improve again with the rise in trip and is not to be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bella Violetta looks the one to beat. |

SIMON BAKER MAIDEN 1275m
Disco Kicks is the likely leader at a slick tempo. GIRLS ON FIRE (9) has performed strongly in stronger company throughout her career thus far, finishing 5.1L away on a Heavy deck in Saturday grade last start. This looks a much easier race and she'll carry no weight with Parnham on her back. Looks a suitable race and she can score her maiden win. DISCO KICKS (3) has been racing well without winning recently, including a good effort on this track last start. While the drop in distance may not be ideal, she possesses good early speed and she's sure to be strong late in the race. HAUNTED ANGEL (6) resumes today after a disappointing end to last campaign, but her recent trial suggests she's on song. She lands in a suitable race on resumption and it wouldn't surprise to see her in the finish. TASSORT WE WANT (8) is not out of this on debut. Next best is HAMADRYAD (4). SUGGESTED PLAY: Girls On Fire gets the nod. |

PAUL IANNELLO HANDICAP 1275m
Something Royal to take charge ahead of Three Grand at a solid tempo. SOMETHING ROYAL (8) was solid first-up at Northam in a CL3 and usually improves with a run under her belt. The inside draw is a big tick with the claim of Cooper also coming in handy. Can sit close to the speed and give a bold sight in front. SCENIC GEORGE (4) disappointed last start on the Turf course here, but that was in Saturday grade where the track played funky. Should get a fairer go of it here and up in trip looks a smart play. Expecting him to be in the finish. GLOBAL TRIP (6) was too good last start and can repeat the dose. CLASSIC RULER (13) won't be far away and is worth including in multiples. SUGGESTED PLAY: Something Royal goes on top. |

RON PATCHETT HANDICAP 1500m
Bling Beach, Uno Me and Random Rewards can settle forward in a race lacking a designated leader. ONE PUNCH (1) bolted in over this course and distance last start, running away to win by 3.8L in fine style. He jumped favourite there and turned in a strong figure in doing so. Can roll forward and repeat the dose. YALLINGUP GIRL (9) drops in trip following a 1.1L defeat on the Turf course here 25 days ago. That was in this grade and she remains right down in the weights. Maps to get her chance and it wouldn't surprise to see her end her winning drought. ISHKUR (3) has returned in good order this campaign and draws the inside on the 8-day turnaround. She's putting up competitive numbers recently and as she hits peak fitness now, she can put her best foot forward. RANDOM REWARDS (6) was very good two back before disappointing last start in Soft going. The All Weather surface should help and she won't be far away. WAYNE THE PAIN (4) is in the mix if he can bounce back. SUGGESTED PLAY: One Punch goes on top in the last. |
