NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:15 ROMANOS HOTEL RIVERINA CUP PRELUDE - BENCHMARK 74 HANDICAP- HEAT OF WAGGA STAYERS SERIES 2100m
Think More and Star Blazer to battle for the leading role. FIRST DAY (5) solid staying mare racing in career best form. Continues to raise the bar and adept in all conditions. Gave her all with the 58kg when a fighting second over 2100m here. Meets Due Calzini better at the weights and won two starts back. DUE CALZINI (3) is starting to hit his straps as he chases his third straight victory. Shouldn't have any trouble on a testing track after rounding them up well to salute over 2100m here. Sure to go well again. QUAMBY (4) proven on the quick backup. Down sharply in weight after going under narrowly when fifth over 2000m at Seymour. Can bounce back in this stronger test. SORRY SUNSHINE (6) closed off strongly with the 63kg when a respectable fourth over 1500m at Albury. Looking for this trip now and proven in the going.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 5,3,4,6.
2 12:50 SMALLMON BROTHERS WASTE & RECYCLING MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large number of unraced runners. TOO DARN COLD (3) in the first run for the new stable he closed off strongly with the 59kg when a tenacious third over 900m at Albury. Fitter now and only has to get through the going to take this out. PERFORMING DIVA (7) resumes from a lengthy spell. Tipped out after improving sharply at her second race start with a narrow second over 1000m at Goulburn. Back without a trial and should have developed further over the break. Maps well and is expected to take a hand in the finish. ORIENTAL DANE (6) former SA-trained filly now in the Kerry Weir yard. Comes here after going back from the awkward draw when a poor twelfth over 1400m at Balaklava. Well drawn for this and not to be underestimated. SPICE OF DUBAI (8) caught the eye on debut when a sound fifth over this trip at Narrandera. Finds an easier contest from the good gate.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 3,7,6,8.
3 01:25 MACARTHUR REAL ESTATE AGENCY CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE 1600m
Not seeing a great deal of early speed. Solid race with some progressive types. PRIDE OF JEZZA (5) finally put it all together at start ten when coming from well back for a comprehensive victory over 1400m. Bred to get further and will relish the conditions again. FLUTTERBY (6) is holding her form well and doesn't have to improve much to take this out. Will appreciate the extra journey and maps to get the right run after motoring late when second over 1600m at Albury. Top three player. DARKEN (4) bounced off his good third at Canberra two back, with a gritty maiden victory over 1660m at Moruya. Martin's claim helps again and can measure up here. CAYMAN ISLAND (9) is fifth up now and racing like he will get the trip. Given the gun run but just lacked the necessary sprint over the closing stages when second over 1400m at Albury. Nose roll goes on and is capable of taking this out.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Pride Of Jezza in a slogging contest.
4 02:05 REMAX ELITE WAGGA BENCHMARK 82 HANDICAP 1400m
Without much in the way of early speed it might be left to Copperfield to take charge. CHOICE WITNESS (5) had been racing well on the country circuit, before jumping in grade with a disappointing seventh over 1300m at Sandown-Hillside last Wednesday. Drops significantly in weight and is undefeated in two attempts on the heavy tracks. Can bounce back quickly over this trip. YOUR NOT THE BOSS (7) from the in-form Mitch Beer stable and he's starting to put it all together now. Closed strongly in a solid rating contest when fifth over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Looking for this distance and is adept in all going. LOS PADRES (2) another from the Beer yard with his hoof on the till. Deep into his prep and looks ready for the 1400m after running third over 1200m at Wyong. Can roll forward and figure prominently. COPPERFIELD (1) back in class and strips fitter after he was a month between runs when sixth over 1600m here. Loves the conditions and keep safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Choice Witness and Your Not the Boss to fight it out.
5 02:40 JUNEE PRIME LAMB COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
Genuine pace headed by Triptolemus who should kick up along the paint. BELNERA (6) handy mare with her hoof on the till after resuming with a game on-pace second. Loves the going and can take control early from the low gate. Hard to stop. MONNIE (10) winkers go on today after returning with an even sixth over 1200m at Moruya. Will appreciate the claim and expecting a solid performance. AZZUCCA (5) at her top now fourth up with the winkers going on for the first time. Snagged back from the wide gate and chipped away late when sixth over 1010m at Moruya. Ready for this trip and expected to take a hand in the finish. TRIPTOLEMUS (13) showed good early dash from the outside gate on debut when gripping on to run fifth over 1175m at Albury. Has further improvement to come from a leading yard.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Belnera to get off the mark.
6 03:15 JRC ELECTRICAL SERVICES BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1000m
Expecting Irish Consort to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. ANTISOCIAL (2) has gone to a new level this prep with the two wins from her four starts. Jumped in grade from the awkward gate when a plugging fourth over this trip at Corowa last start. Can turn it around quickly in this easier contest. WITCH OF NOVEMBER (5) has been a model of consistency this time in and due for a change of luck. Covered ground from the wide gate and failed to give up when a tough third over 1000m. Meets Antisocial better at the weights and proven in the going. HELLS SON (1) comes back a few levels today with the blinkers coming off. Huge jump in grade when a struggling sixth over 1000m here. Maps well and is capable of a better performance. ROSY SUE (8) closed off strongly on resumption when a handy fourth over 920m at Moruya. Has won second up in the past and looks set for a good prep. Gets her chance with the claim.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Antisocial to bounce back.
7 03:55 RIVERINA MOTOR GROUP COUNTRY BOOSTED BATTLERS CUP - BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400m
Genuine tempo with Trouve and Miss Pepeha pressing for the lead. APPARATE (11) senior rider goes on for this and has excellent wet track credentials. No match for the classy Hell Of A Fox when seventh over 1400m at Goulburn on May 30. Performs fresh and has genuine claims. WINEHOUSE (10) back in class and the blinkers go on for the first time after jumping in trip when seventh over 1400m here. Gets a better run today and assess on her maiden victory three back. Improver. TROUVE (4) is now in the Kerry Weir stable after finishing a respectable fourth over 1100m at Gundagai. Kept fresh and not to be underestimated. LUNA ANGEL (13) is mixing her form of late and will appreciate the claim and class drop. Has heavy track form and stays in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Apparate in a fairly tough contest.
8 04:35 THE GARDENS WAGGA BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1600m
Moderate pace with Newyork Missile taking up the running ahead of Region Time and Sundrop. SUNDROP (6) progressive mare who brings the right form here. Rounded them up late with a sharp win over 1400m at Narrandera. Ran good time on that occasion and can repeat the effort today. BRIE BRIE (7) hitting her straps at the right time and well placed here with the claim. Ploughed through the heavy (10) going when scoring a dominant win on July 7. Tongue tie comes off and she looks like one of the leading contenders. NEWYORK MISSILE (5) indicated he was back to his best when a slashing second over 1500m at Albury. A repeat of latest will see him go close. SOUL TAKER (3) big class drop. Far from disgraced when a plugging seventh over 1600m at Randwick in Highway grade. Further improved now and adept in all conditions.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sundrop can keep the winning momentum going.
