SALUTE PAUL DOLAN 50 YEARS SERVICE TO RACING Maiden Handicap 1200m
Expecting Herecomesantorini to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. WINCHMAN (1) started at $1.95 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth at Gold Coast over 1200m. Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. HERECOMESANTORINI (7) just missed the frame last time out when fourth over 1050m at Gold Coast Poly. Still a maiden but has been in the money on four occasions. Will find this a little easier than last time and rates a leading contender. FREEMAN FURY (9) showed good early dash last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing one length away in second over 1200m at Warwick. Will give a bold sight again. DARE I SAY (10) failed to feature last start, finishing seventh over 1350m at Ipswich. Will appreciate the drop in grade and best figures stack up nicely. SUGGESTED PLAY: Winchman to shed the maiden tag. |

KILCOY "THE MOONEE VALLEY OF THE NORTH" QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1200m
Just a moderate tempo given the absence of pacy gallopers. LEUCAENA (8) missed the frame last start over 1050m at Gold Coast Poly when fifth. Will enjoy a drop in class so she can find the winners' list. BUTWEDID (1) finished just out of the money two starts back then he was always well out of his ground when eighth in a 1200m contest at Warwick seven-and-a-half weeks ago. Well placed and can feature. STYLISH ANGEL (11) has not raced since her debut back on October 23 when she finished eighth over 1200m at Eagle Farm. This is much easier and should be thereabouts. READY GREY (2) progressive gelding resuming today after two runs in his maiden campaign. Look for a big first-up run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leucaena to salute. |

BUTLER MCDERMOTT LAWYERS Maiden Handicap 1900m
Moderate tempo with Swiper leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. TANGO SPIRIT (11) finished just out of the money two starts back then finished fourth over 1540m at Gold Coast Poly two-and-a-half weeks ago. Can play a major role. BARGARA BOUND (4) could only manage to finish 11th last time out over 2040m at Doomben following a minor placing at Sunshine Coast over 1800m the run prior. This is easier and likely to be about the money. POSTMAN'S GAP (3) settled well back then made some inroads and finished sixth last time out over 1600m at Sunshine Coast nine days ago. Won't find this as tough and has claims on his best form. SASSY TAP (10) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 2200m at Sunshine Coast. Placed to advantage so anticipating another big run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tango Spirit to finally break the maiden status. |

GREAT NORTHERN BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1900m
Born To Be Alive and Son Of Satono possess good early speed and will set a genuine tempo. SON OF SATONO (2) was a winner at this track over this distance two back then tackled a longer trip last time but failed to measure up when sixth at Sunshine Coast. Better placed and is a definite winning chance. SUMMER STAR (6) finished fourth last time out over 1500m at this track three-and-a-half weeks ago. Reunites with Adin Thompson who has been in the money two times when aboard. Should be in the finish. BORN TO BE ALIVE (4) ran fourth last start over 1600m at Gatton in an improved run. Can go on with it. NITROGLYCERINE (5) last start finished fifth at Sunshine Coast over 2200m. Has the talent to figure prominently. SUGGESTED PLAY: Son Of Satono to bounce back. |

LADBROKE FORM GENIUS Class 3 Handicap 1200m
Grand Crusader is expected to lead at a slick tempo. GRAND CRUSADER (4) pushed forward from a wide draw last time out and was prominent for a long way before fading to finish fourth over 1400m at Gold Coast. Rates highly and expected to go well. WHISKEY DANCER (5) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish fourth over 1050m at Gold Coast Poly. Could prove tough to stop. PRETTY LITTLE LASS (11) showed little early speed last start then lengthened in good style in the straight to finish third at Warwick over today's journey. Among the chances again. BLAME THE WHISKEY (1) got the cash over 1500m at Warwick at his most recent appearance on May 21. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Grand Crusader to win. |

SEARLE GARDEN PRODUCTS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1200m
Expecting a slick tempo with Warrior Chief, Garrucha and Porky leading the way. PORKY (2) is returning from a spell of three-and-a-half months and is now with new trainer Liam Birchley. Fitter for a fourth in a recent trial over 1000m at Sunshine Coast Inner Track and looks set to run well for the new mentor. WARRIOR CHIEF (9) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished third at Murwillumbah two starts back then scored by a head last time out over 1100m at Beaudesert. Faces a similar assignment. Major player. GRANDEUR ROSE (12) missed the frame last start over 1400m at Beaudesert when ninth. Finds a nice race and can atone. GARRUCHA (1) showed good early speed and set the tempo before fading noticeably to finish sixth over 1050m at Gold Coast Poly. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Porky to return a winner. |

KILCOY EXCHANGE HOTEL RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1500m
Strong pace as Hooks pushes forward along with Flying Bat from an outside gate. PASSIONATE REBEL (2) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten half a length, over 1400m at Beaudesert. Backmarker who keeps coming and will be tough to stop. BELLE'S BOY (3) finished a disappointing 12th over 1350m at Warwick last time out following a determined win two runs back. Can bounce back. INTENTIONAL LASS (8) is on the quick back-up and can bounce back from a disappointing run at the Gold Coast last start. ROCKED (14) can contest for a place. SUGGESTED PLAY: Passionate Rebel on top. |
