Bold showing expected with added fitness this time.

Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. Has ability and sure to prove tough to beat. RETOUR (12) stepped out for her debut over 1600m at Kyoto back on February 11 and finished fifth, beaten 5 lengths. Will have a lot more to offer this time. SPIN THE BLOOD (1) didn't do a lot on debut four weeks ago, finishing 7 lengths from the winner in fifth over 2000m at Nakayama. Plenty of scope for improvement. Top-three chance. I SAW THE LIGHT (10) produced a fair effort on debut last time out when 4 lengths from the winner in seventh at Nakayama over 1600m. Don't underestimate.

DANON KILAUEA (1) raced on the speed when resuming last start and battled on well but found one better over 1800m at Nakayama. Top chance in a nice race for him. JEANNE ROSA (9) impressed when successful on debut over 1600m at Kyoto three-and-a-half months ago and has not appeared since. Promising type who can go back-to-back. LIMERICK (7) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 1600m at Chukyo, beaten 3 lengths into sixth. Has the talent to find the winners' list. JUN TONE FU (3) was beaten 4.5 lengths into ninth at the second run back from a break over 1200m at Hanshin last time out. Better than recent efforts suggest.

Winning claims on best figures. ETERNEL (15) was unplaced two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt, beaten 5.5 lengths into seventh. Capable of featuring prominently.

Grade 3 placegetter LUX FRONTIER (12) turned in a nice run last time to finish second over 1900m at Chukyo Dirt after being in the firing line on the bend. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. MAPLE RIDGE (13) is back at the races for the first time since November 18. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 2100m at this track. Comes here with definite claims. MAONO ARASHI (6) is a promising type who scored at his only run last prep three-and-a-half months ago over 2400m at Nakayama Dirt. Has won when fresh from a spell in the past. Shapes as one to consider. HAGINO SUSTAINABLE (7) scored last start at Hanshin Dirt to make it two wins and two placings from four starts this campaign. Solid claims on recent form.

DOCTOR DOLITTLE (6) is having his first run since January 28. Goes very well when fresh with two wins from two starts, the latest over 1800m at Hanshin at the start of last prep. Looks set to run well. MEINER MOND (9) knuckled down strongly to get within 1.5 lengths of the winner in second last start over 1800m at Nakayama. Sound record at this distance with two wins and four minor placings from seven runs and will play a prominent role. DANON THE TIGER (5) resumes today after filling a minor placing at his only appearance last prep at Nakayama over 2000m on January 20. Has a decent record at this track with three minor placings from four runs. Grade 2 placed and is one of the main contenders. EIKAI MCENROE (10) drifted back from his wide draw last start then hit the line hard to score by half a length at Chukyo over 2000m. Sound record at this distance with two wins and four minor placings from seven runs and is a key contender.

REDENTOR (9) is a progressive type still in first campaign but off to a great start to career. Recorded back to back wins with a 3 length success over 2000m at Nakayama last time. Going well and looks tough to beat again. SUGAR KUN (7) made it two wins in succession last time out when he scored by 2 lengths over 2200m at Chukyo. Winning rider Yutaka Take retains the mount. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. TROVATORE (17) finished 5.5 lengths away in sixth last time out over 2000m at Nakayama when first up from a spell as $2.8 favourite. Tackles a longer journey this time. Leading hope. WIN MAXIMUM (10) is a promising type who scored at his last run before a break 12 weeks ago over 2400m at this track. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a spell in two starts. Masami Matsuoka who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Best figures stack up.

Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. NEKKETSU SHACHO (4) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago but was less impressive last time out when fourth over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt, beaten 4 lengths. Best figures measure up so deserves another chance.
