NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:50 CLUB WARWICK RSL SPORTSBAR Maiden Handicap 800m
Fast tempo assured with Queen Nina and Dun With Roses up front. FREAKSHAKE (5) was narrowly beaten first up at Gatton at a short quote then the money came again in the bush and he just missed again. He's on a 5-day return and is suited in this lineup. VIGANOTTO (11) resumes and has placed 2/2 fresh. A wide gate needs managing but the 4kg claim brings her right into it. DUN WITH ROSES (2) is a former Victorian resuming for the sharp Currie yard. He showed enough two-back as a short-priced favourite on debut to suggest this is winnable if presented on song. MIEUX (3) resumes and is likely to come back better.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Freakshake each way.
2 12:27 OLSENS PRODUCE RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 800m
Expecting Diamond Lass to find the lead but there will be some pressure. SISTER GEORGIA (5) is fast and just missed at Gatton before breaking Maidens there over this trip. Keeps the 3kg claim and can go on with the job. Each way. DIAMOND LASS (2) resumes off solid trials with a 4kg claimer booked. Raced well last preparation on the Gold Coast poly surface but has comparable figures on the turf. Sits forward and should go close. VIVA AMERICANA (7) resumes and went back-to-back in non-TAB meetings her first two starts last campaign. She can't be ruled out. MISSY'S READY (4) resumes and maps well. Has shown enough to consider.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Sister Georgia each way.
3 01:04 SOUTHERN DOWNS EQUINE THERAPY & SUPPORT SERVICES QTIS 3-Y-O BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1350m
With little in the way of early speed Booming Lad may well find the front. TYPHOON TIP (5) had been threatening in much tougher races in town before tackling Stakes level at big odds. Suited back to the sprint in this grade and with average luck will take beating. BOOMING LAD (2) peaks and will find this more to his liking than Doomben and the Sunshine Coast. Has a low gate and Thornton is reunited. CRYPTIC SOUND (10) has been within range at Doomben and Ipswich and draws soft. Should be fully fit now and is also a winning chance. CONEY ISLAND BABY (8) has more to give second-up and his best would give him a hope.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Typhoon Tip.
4 01:42 ROSE CITY RIDES & TRANSFERS/SATURN ELECTRICAL RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1350m
Plenty of early pressure primarily with A Dime Approach, Liqueur Gold and Stryking Princess all running along. HUSSY EMPRESS (6) showed plenty in stronger races last preparation and will be better for the first-up outing. Has won second-up and finds a winnable assignment. GERTIE GOER (11) peaks and has been knocking on the door. Gets in well at the weights and is on a quick backup. LIQUEUR GOLD (9) is third up and can show more. Just missed a place at Ipswich her only run last preparation. OCEAN ALPS (5) was on speed at Beaudesert delivering her Maiden win at a short quote. She's got upside but the outside barrier has to be managed.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Hussy Empress.
5 02:17 MALY ENGINEERING RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1350m
They will be getting along early with Stormtrooper and Forebears leading the charge. STORMTROOPER (6) hasn't won for a long while but has recent poly track form that stacks up. He will suit the rails gate and has a handy 4kg claim. His record at this course/distance reads well. PUZZLE DESIGNER (2) didn't look to manage the heavy surface at the Sunshine Coast and go on the Maiden win at Ipswich prior on the slow. Has a low barrier and Thornton sticking is a positive. Kept on the fresh side and can bounce. MISHANI KINGDOM (1) narrowly missed here before a plain effort on the heavy track at Beaudesert in better grade. Peaks and has a handy 3kg claim today. He can get back on track. MILAGRO (4) can be in the finish if the wide barrier is managed.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Stormtrooper.
6 02:57 THINK FENCING Maiden Plate 1350m
Plenty of early pace with Duma, Dash Dash Dash and Time For Jack running along. ALREADY BETTER (2) is in a top metro barn and is sure to build on a solid debut. Damien Thornton sticks aboard. A solid each-way chance. GOLD FEVER (4) peaks off two narrow misses with the latest at the Sunshine Coast. Has an awkward barrier but in country grade deserves another chance DUMA (9) resumes in a strong form race and will be better for it. May need longer now but has placed 2/3 second-up and is in the mix. ALKENTER (13) has been racing in stronger and can show more.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Already Better each way.
7 03:34 BROWNLIE CONCRETORS Class 2 Handicap 1350m
First Peoples can control the race. A CERTAIN MAYBE (8) is right up to this at best and will be better for the first-up hitout on the Gold Coast poly. Placed in stronger her only second-up outing and Damien Thornton is a positive jockey switch. TOO MUCH MAKEUP (9) didn't do a bad job at Doomben before delivering the 59 at Kilcoy as expected. Has an awkward gate but presents on a quick backup and can go back to back without surprise. BLAME THE WHISKEY (4) has switched from a Victorian yard on a 31-day return. Threatened at Ballarat and Echuca his two most recent starts and they read well. Has an outside barrier and that's the niggle. MAXIE TAP (13) spiked his figures narrowly beaten in a CL3 at the Sunshine Coast. May have been flattered by the heavy surface but his form generally would see him in the finish. Arrives here on the fresh side.  SUGGESTED PLAY: A Certain Maybe appeals most.
8 04:12 NUTURF BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200m
Super Duck can lead at a strong tempo. SUPER DUCK (12) resumed further when improved comfortably winning a Beaudesert CL2 on a heavy track. A dry surface won't bother and he maps for a soft run. A second-up winner with more to offer. Tougher sorting the rest. ARTIE BEATSOME (5) is third-up seeking the hat-trick. This looks a bit harder but he can't be ruled out using an inside barrier. MR WANDJI (8) wasn't far away second-up and will be much sharper today. Races forward and won a 60 here before the spell heavily bet. MISHANI WARFARE (10) is a third-up winner with more up the sleeve. The 3kg claim brings him into it.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Super Duck.
9 04:47 GERAN RACING BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1500m
Tempo strong with Scenic Rim and Van Gogh pushing forward. MORITZ GIRL (12) is an improver from a leading metro barn and is building a promising record. She is third up now and her NSW form reads extra well. Has weight relief and Damien Thornton is reunited. HALF CROWN (11) is genuine and his best is good enough. Peaks for this and goes wet and dry. Maps for the run of the race. DEMON DELIVERA (8) brings strong form overall form. Led unexpectedly at Ipswich last time as a firm favourite and it didn't work out. He will be looking to find cover today and should be right in it. MISHANI SPARTAN (2) just missed this grade at Toowoomba and will be fitter. The 3kg claim brings him into it.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Moritz Girl.
