Sir Bear A Lot should have enough pace to lead a low-pressure contest. RED WITH TED (2) has been racing well and is suited over this journey. Comes back from Kalgoorlie and gets the nod. SIR BEAR A LOT (3) deserved the easy maiden win over 1500m. Peaks now and will enjoy a soft run from the rails gate. He should run out the extra 400m with a judicious ride. DEADLY AND FAST (1) rates best but has to come back 1200m from the rich Jerrico Cup WA Qualifier. It's an ask but this isn't strong. ARROW SONG (4) has been racing in stronger and can't be ruled out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Red With Ted. |

THE RACES WA HANDICAP 1100m
Genuine tempo with Oxbridge leading the way. RUSSIAN SNIPER (3) is in a leading metro barn and wasn't far away at Ascot before the narrow defeat here. 2x winning rider CJP goes aboard today for the apprentice. Has been kept on the fresh side and can go one better. OXBRIDGE (1) just missed the hat-trick here on the same day. He keeps a handy 2kg claim and will control the race. Is sure to give a sight. MORGS FREEMAN (2) has been busting to win and also rates well. The 3kg claim brings him right into it. NOTEWORTHY (6) resumes and is good enough. May find this a bit short but needs to be kept safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Russian Sniper. |

ALBANY STOCK FEEDS MAIDEN 1232m
Strong early tempo assured from No Plastic and Kamakazi Shooter leading the way over Shoulder Patch. SIRIUS STORM (5) resumes for a leading metro yard and brings two sharp trials from Lark Hill. CJP sticks from both and the gelding goes well fresh. Will be naturally improved and this is suitable. Stablemate SHOULDER PATCH (3) peaks for the same barn and can go better back to a sprint. Has the best peak figures presented. KAMAKAZI SHOOTER (4) has had one blip in a string of solid efforts and is in the mix using the rails gate. Some query back to the sprint. That shouldn't bother THE MIGHTY BUTCH (1) out of the same race. Keeps the 2kg claim and is in the mix as well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Sirius Storm |

A solid tempo on the cards with Yakyak leading the way. IHTSAKING (3) resumes and profiles as another decent chance for the Durrant-CJP linkage. Goes well fresh and has twice trialled well at Lark Hill. Kicking off over 1500m shouldn't be an issue. ONLY US (2) has had two runs back in stronger and has plenty up his sleeve. Suited over this trip and longer and is a winning chance. ANTIQUE QUEEN (9) is a lightly raced improver who will find this easier than Pinjarra. YAKYAK (5) races forward and is back from Kalgoorlie. Has had plenty of chances but has placed this course/distance and will get every chance from the rails gate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ihtsaking if the betting suggests stable confidence. |

Genuine tempo with Speedy Nova and Elite Jewel battling for early supremacy. NAUGHTY GOSSIP (2) resumed with an easy win here this grade and is back on track. Faithful stays aboard and fitter she can go on with it. PHENCE SITTER (5) resumes for the same yard and has won one of her two fresh starts. She has more up her sleeve and the 2kg claim brings her into it. CHARMING BELLE (1) tries hard and was okay at Narrogin for the new stable. Her best city form would give her a chance. PIERRA ART (6) resumes and is better than the form line suggests. Has been away for a while but deserves a betting watch. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Naughty Gossip. |

Star In Time is the likely leader at a slick tempo. HOW PRETTY (9) improved again winning here as favourite and can make it four on the trot for the Durrant yard. The gate is trickier today but CJP goes aboard replacing the apprentice and he can get her home. IMPERIALIZE (2) won at Pinjarra and then was better again beaten 2L at Ascot in stronger than this. Has been kept on the fresh side and is a decent chance to bounce. ARCADIA STAR (6) resumes and goes fresh. She's trialled well at Lark Hill and last winter was thought good enough to try at Listed level. A chance. GAGE ROADS (3) peaks off the CL5 placing and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with How Pretty. |

No noted leader but Vonsnip, Divine Mercy and Deel Red will be prominent. DEEL RED (7) is third-up and brings strong form from Kalgoorlie. Looks the map horse and a top metro hoop replaces the apprentice. Gets his chance. DIVINE MERCY (4) has been narrowly beaten all four starts this preparation. He will use the low barrier and should go close. VONSNIP (2) mixes trips and had the rail when leading and belting the 58 graders here by 2.5L before drawing wide in a CL5 and disappointing as favourite. Has won 2/2 this course/distance and the rails gate advantages today. She can bounce back. STARAUTHORESS (9) is knocking on the door and is also a hope in a good contest. Gives away starts so makes it hard on himself. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Deel Red. |
