STAR WIN (2) turned in an encouraging run at this course and distance last time, winding up strongly to finish fourth. One to watch for late in the piece.

Takashi Nakata who has two wins when partnering stays on. Likely improver with strong claims. LOVE AND GRACE (1) missed the placings when 11th over 1400m at this track. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.

Has an impressive strike rate at this distance with three wins from six runs and is sure to go well. VULCAIN (8) settled well back when a disappointing 11th in a 1400m contest at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago. Faces an easier assignment so she is likely to play a big role. RISKY WHISKY (2) missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, finishing fourth. Well placed to turn things around.

Was a winner at the only previous second-up run and is a great chance to get the prize again. NIJIIRO HARPY (1) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by 1.5 lengths over 1700m at Nagoya. Tackling a deeper field this time but she is up to the task. ZAO (5) has been about the money at each run this prep, the latest offering a second over 1700m at Nagoya. Should be poised just off the lead and is capable of testing this field. PRIME ROSE (9) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth over 1700m at Nagoya. Will be putting in the big strides late and worth including.

Has won five races at this course and distance from 10 tries and is one of the main contenders. MEISHO KAJIKI (12) turned in a fine effort to win by 1.3 lengths at this course and distance when resuming from a break last time out. No reason he cannot salute again.
