FUJI EUGENE (2) is a promising galloper who kept his unbeaten record intact last start when resuming over 1600m at Mizusawa, making it six victories. Had plenty on his rivals last time and there's no doubt he had plenty of ability. Can remain unbeaten. EDONO BANZAI (4) went fast early over 1400m at Urawa last time and went on to score by one length. Drawn to stalk the leaders. Going up a level this time but he is up to the challenge. SAKURA TOP KID (8) clocked-in second behind Fuji Eugene when fresh from a break last time out at Mizusawa over 1600m. Has a strong record this course, scoring at two of three starts. One of the leading contenders. SANEI CANNON (6) was prominent at the bend and finished third last time over 1600m at Mizusawa. Will trim down following recent racing. Placed to advantage and can fill another top-three spot.
