BOLD TROPIC (1) was back in winning form in a similar field here just over a fortnight ago and should not have any problem coping with an extra 3 kilos this time. He will only be sharper third up and he is the one to beat again. ALTAR BOY (4) has not won for some time and had been thereabouts this year when racing in Queensland. He is 6 weeks between runs and has the blinkers back on for his local debut for a new trainer. A 3 kilo claim will help him and he is right in this. Watch the markets closely. LAMOREE (6) finds it hard to win and has finished runner-up in 4 of his 6 starts this prep. Her saddle slipped last start which did not help her cause and no one will begrudge her a win in this. BECQUEREL (11) ran on late in his first start in the area after making the move from Victoria earlier in the year. He will be better for the run and even though he is only a maiden, he is capable of a top-three finish. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Becquerel each way.
