Small field but Better Not Fuss, Valley Prince and Hey Bull can ensure a genuine tempo. MERSEYSIDE (2) has raced her way into some decent form with back-to-back second placings at Darwin, the most recent of those placings coming there just over 4 weeks ago. She should race in or near the lead from a handy gate this time and is poised to go one better. VALLEY PRINCE (3) is racing consistently and is dropping back to his pet trip for this. He is nicely weighted after a 2-kilo claim and is sure to give another honest account of himself here. Stick with him. BETTER NOT FUSS (1) caused an upset when winning a much stronger race at Alice Springs in March and could be on the way back to that sort of form after finishing third last time out. He is likely to push forward early on and with the benefit of a 2-kilo claim, he should be right in the finish again. PARIAH CONVICTION (6) has been mixing up his distances and has yet to fire this prep.
