Daijobanai and Smart Scepter possess good early speed. DAIJOBANAI (1) was in a different class last time with a dominant all-the-way win by 2.5 lengths when resuming at this track over 1400m. Shingo Oyama who has 11 wins when partnering stays on. Fitter and gets the inside draw so can go on with it. BABY BOSS (8) is having his first run since September 20 last year but goes well when fresh with three wins and three placings from 12 starts. Looking for a good return. HANABUSA (5) resumes having scored a win here two back. Looks one of the genuine hopes. SMART SCEPTER (9) ran below expectations last start but was good when runner-up fresh prior. Has an impressive strike rate here so can atone.
