Anticipating good pressure with many of these at the races for the first time. Big field reduced to just seven. COOLY (17) was a close-up fourth on debut then got home hard to place last time. Has upside and drawn for a good run with cover so should be winding up again. Looks hard to hold out again. MISS ELLANEOUS (13) finished last campaign in stakes class when fifth and looks well placed here fresh. Has good speed and in the smaller field now expected to take catching. LIL ORLOV (9) is a Russian Revolution gelding who has trialled three times for three wins, the latest at Wodonga on October 20. Looks a capable type and will be competitive. PASADENA (10) is an Exceedance gelding ell educated with five hit-outs leading into this, the latest when placing in a Flemington jump-out. Aided by a nice alley and worth watching for a betting move. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Cooly.
