A solid tempo on the cards with Meisho Kashiwade leading the way. ASSURBANIPAL (6) was resuming from a spell of six months last start when a solid second over this course and distance. Progressive colt with a bright future. Should feature in the finish. MEISHO KASHIWADE (8) has not been sighted since he finished fifth over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt on March 2. Bolted in the run before over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. Leading player. FENDER (3) didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on March 16, finishing seventh and beaten 4.5 lengths over 1400m in the G3 Falcon Stakes at Chukyo. Comes here with definite top-three claims. FUINO MAJIWARI (7) got off the mark with an impressive maiden win when resuming last time out over 1600m at this track. Hironobu Tanabe was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Must be respected now that the penny has dropped.
