HIP POCKET CASTLEMAINE NMW PACE 1720m

Track: GOOD

BROWNIESATMIDNIGHT (4) won at Terang two runs back to make it two on the trot then and again performed impressively at the most recent appearance, making up plenty of ground but finding one better over 1720m at this track. Steps up a level, but he is up to the task. SAIFA (10) has been competitive of late and kept the ball rolling last time when 4 metres from the winner in fourth over 1720m at this track. Won't find this any harder, and he can take care of this lineup. OUR SAYDIE KAY (2) is a genuine type who was a solid third most recently at Cranbourne. Must be included in what looks like a suitable assignment. MAXY WANTS TO PLAY (1) is next best and gets every chance from a favourable draw. Each way value.

Fair run when beaten by 5.5 m finishing third after a quick start, behind Jilliby Illuminate at this track over 2240m in a 0W/15 0K stake on May 10 at $8. Then a handy effort when a close second after a quick start, behind The Iron Duke at this track over 2240m in a NR 60 to 69 on May 17 at $1.55. Expected to feature with even luck from the draw.
