GOING: G

RSL Poppy Appeal Handicap 1200m

Track: Good 4   Clouds (Max: 25)   Rail: Out 6m Entire Circuit. (Pent: 5.31)

Strong tempo from Just Jenni, Ruby Avenue and Artful Lodger. LES BRAVES (1) is a lightly raced 4yo who won his maiden easily fresh which saw him sent out a $2.10 favourite last time, beaten under a length when doing work in the run. Drawn wide for the third time in a row here but with even luck should go close. GOLDEN AGE (11) is stuck on the 1 win from 24 starts but has to be respected on recent form. He was beaten half a length in this class two back before running third in a much stronger BM78 at Moe last time out. He did start $51 there so regression is likely but he has to go in. MARKDEL (2) resumes with a nice profile, formerly with the Freedman yard. If he runs to his best for the new yard he's right in this. TWO SIGMA (10) resumes with a handy profile, she can be hitting the line over this trip that is likely a bit short of her best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Les Braves to win.
