LUX METEOR (10) was heavily backed and justified the support when resuming last start over 1230m at this track, scoring by a neck. Open to plenty of improvement and looks sure to be in the finish again. A SHIN WAND (7) is returning from a spell of six months. Finished 15th at Fukushima over 1200m at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Tadaaki Hashimoto. One of the better hopes despite the layoff. HANABUSA (11) is knocking on the door after just missing last time over 1230m at this track. Going well enough to overcome the tricky draw. Z KAREN (4) won here two starts ago but was below her best at a more recent appearance, finishing seventh over 1230m at this track. Should be competitive in this suitable race.
