NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:20 KIA ORA COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
Strong tempo assured from Copperline and Kostanuffin leading the charge. SPLASH OF STEEL (6) is back after an 11-week spell. Opened last prep with a barnstorming second in the $250k Magic Millions Maiden over 1100m at the Gold Coast. Won't spend a cent from the inside alley. Best form measures up nicely in this company. COPPERLINE (1) last appeared when a tiring third after leading on debut over this trip at Wyong back in July 2025. Trialling well and looks set for a bright return to the track. HEAD KAHUNA (3) backs up just five days after working home well to finish a distance second over 1200m at Mudgee. Blinkers go on for the first time which might spark further improvement. Two unraced runners should attract plenty of interest. FLIRTATION (8) from the Messara/Gavranich yard is a half-sister by Snitzel to the smart sprinter Pariah. Won her only trial and looks well above average. FANNOIR (7) returns for a second campaign. Failed at $1.95 on debut in January and hasn't raced since. Recent trial winner who can turn things around this prep.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Splash Of Steel to win the opener.
2 12:55 MAGIC MILLIONS SUPER MAIDEN HANDICAP 1300m
Solid tempo with Royal Botanic possessing enough dash to find the front. ROYAL BOTANIC (10) went to the front in a change of tactics last start and battled on well to be only beaten a length over 1250m at Newcastle. That was just her second start so there is further improvement to come. Probably takes a sit today and will be hard to hold out. I AM OVERS (8) settled near the tail then caught the eye late when just outside the placings over 1100m at Gosford last time out. Cherry ripe after two runs back from a spell and the longer trip on a bigger track is the ideal set-up. AGRAFFE ROCKET (2) returns from an 18-week spell and has been gelded. Debuted last prep with an excellent fourth at Randwick in a strong form race. Recent trial winner who looks set to make an immediate impact with the help of a good barrier. DELLUCY (13) is a six-year-old mare without a win in 17 runs which isn't a great profile, but her recent efforts have been solid. One for the exotics. RUSTEMO (1) is high in early markets and can run a forward race first-up from an 18-week spell.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Royal Botanic and I Am Overs.
3 01:35 MUSWELLBROOK FORD CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE 1600m
Bird Whistle has good gate speed and can overcome the wide draw to lead. BIRD WHISTLE (12) won't know herself today after contesting three Group 3 races from as many runs this prep. The pick of those efforts was two back when she was beaten just 1.6 lengths in the 1400m Carr Stakes at Randwick. Looking for the mile now and is beautifully treated under today's conditions. The interesting runner is MISTER RIZZ (3) who is first-up from a seven-month spell and has crossed from the UK. Led for home at his last appearance in a Gr 3 at Newmarket before being swamped late. Three trials since landing in the Tom Charlton yard should have him ready to run well. VILLA CASTINA (15) has been competitive at all four runs this prep without winning. At her best over the mile so she gets her chance with the help of an ideal draw. VLTAVA (10) has improved out of sight this time in work. Strong through the line at Wyong last time so the bigger track today is a bonus. CURRUMBIN ALLEY (1) was unlucky at Mudgee last Sunday and should play a role on the five-day back-up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Bird Whistle.
4 02:10 SELECT EVENTS 2&3YO MAIDEN HANDICAP 1100m
Expecting Mega Pixel to bounce to the front and lead from the low draw. DR HOOK (2) raced three times in stakes races to launch this prep, the best effort a 2.5 length defeat in the 1400m Sires at Flemington. Disappointed last time when claimed late as a short-priced favourite over 1000m at Muswellbrook. Should make amends today. HARAS (3) is back from a 29-week spell. Raced twice in the maiden prep, the highlight a narrow defeat on debut over 1000m at this track. Big recent trial winner who looks set for a positive return. LORD ELROND (4) returned from a spell as a gelding recently and turned in an eye-catching effort at Wagga, closing hard to finish second over 1000m. Will be tough to hold out over an extra 100m this time. CORMIER (16) is a Maurice colt on debut for Messara/Gavranich. Highly impressive in a recent Muswellbrook trial. Only has to negotiate a wide gate successfully to be in the finish. MEGA PIXEL (1) is back from a five-month spell. Placed at all three runs to date and from a nice alley should be thereabouts again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Dr Hook.
5 02:50 SCONE EQUINE HOSPITAL COUNTRY BOOSTED CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1100m
Kakoda, Jagerschnitzel and Chains Of Love to battle for the lead at a strong tempo. Very deep form race. RUBELIN (16) was taken to the lead in a new role last start then went on to dominate a maiden over this distance at Narromine. Has the speed to cross from a wide alley and with no weight on her back will be prominent for a long way again. JASIRA (7) justified her $1.28 quote with a soft maiden win last time out over 1000m at Taree. Never runs a bad race and at the third run back should be reaching her peak. Worth following. STARVERNA (11) met with strong support on debut recently over 1000m at Muswellbrook and after a few anxious moments was way too strong late. Will relish the extra 100m - watch for her to be storming home. CHAINS OF LOVE (10) last appeared when successful at Winx-like odds over 1200m here in October. Recent trial winner who just needs cover from a wide gate to be right in the finish. HANUMAN (2) goes fast and on recent form should prove difficult to get past.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Rubelin each-way in a tough one for punters.
6 03:25 NEWGATE CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1300m
Genuine tempo with Seastraand leading the way. Another deep race. NEXT JEN (1) has been brought north by the Archibald stable after mixed results this prep in Victoria. Best result was a narrow win in a Class 1 over 1400m at Pakenham three back. Has struggled when tested in better company but back in this grade she can turn things around. BRUTAL BELLE (14) came with a well-timed run to score by a long neck last time out over 1200m at Wagga. Placed at two of three runs over this longer trip. Nicely drawn and should be in the finish again. PONTEVEDRA (8) is a lightly raced three-year-old back from a 27-week break and a gelding procedure. Closed last prep with a couple of close wins and may go to another level this time in work. LIGHTHOUSE LASS (5) disappointed at Randwick last start, ending a long run of minor placings. Worth another chance from a good draw in this easier race. ARAPAWA (17) drops 6kgs on his last outing so although up in grade he can run another strong race.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Next Jen each-way.
7 04:05 ARROWFIELD ***BIG DANCE ELIGIBILITY*** SCONE CUP 1600m
Amor Victorious should find the front with Formal Display and Hellsing on his heels. The 1600m Hawkesbury Gold Cup is the best recent form reference and it was taken out by CHURCHILL'S CHOICE (6) at her third run back from a spell. Settled worse than midfield that day but quickened too well. Goes up 2kgs but probably has that much improvement in her. Great chance to do the double. TAVI TIME (1) settled next to last at Hawkesbury but got going late although never a threat. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and the wide-open spaces here are ideal. Ready to hit form now. AMOR VICTORIOUS (2) resumed at Hawkesbury last time and led for home but was swamped late, beaten just 1.5 lengths. Draws in closer today and with that first run out of the way can play a big role in this. HELLSING (12) grabbed a well-deserved victory over 1500m at Randwick last start and is in the mix down in the weights. Another big test today for FORMAL DISPLAY (18) but the form this prep has been impossible to fault.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Churchill's Choice each-way.
8 04:40 VINERY COUNTRY CUP - BENCHMARK 84 HANDICAP 1400m
Danish Fortune, Full Regalia and Taipan Legend will inject plenty of pace. POISEN POINT (10) stalked the pace and looked to have every chance but struggled a bit at the end of 1600m at Randwick last start. Far better placed dropping back to this trip. Nicely in after Neale's claim and just needs a few breaks from an awkward gate to be right in the finish. HELL OF A FOX (7) was crunched from $3.10 into $2.60 and got the job done impressively in open company over this distance at Canberra last time out. Has been in work for a long while but continues to perform. At her best over 1400m so another big run is likely. SHOTGUN BELLA (15) has been about the money in town since a first-up win over 1100m here. Has only missed the placings once in ten starts. Will race handy and give a great sight again. KRANICH (9) caught the eye in the dying stages over 1100m at Dubbo recently. Boasts a 100% top three strike-rate at 1400m. Wide gate the only concern. DANCES WITH HOOVES (3) returned in good order at Tamworth last start and has a far better second-up record.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Poisen Point to win with a saver on Hell Of A Fox.
