KRAKATINI RIVER RIDGE 2YO SHOWCASE HANDICAP 1000m
Many of these step out for the first time so a genuine tempo is expected. SILVER DREAM (5) is a Yes Yes Yes filly on debut for the Lou Mary yard and did everything right in her lone lead-up trial, working to the line under a soft JPH ride - and he sticks for raceday. She looks ready to make an immediate impact. TRICIA'S RAINBOW (7), who actually beat her home in that same trial, also debuts and represents the Troy O’Neile stable. A Gold Standard filly, she’s another who can kick things off the right way. BLOCKER (2) never came into play on debut at the Sunshine Coast after settling a mile back, but he warmed to the task late. Now with the Hickman yard and kept ticking over with a Canterbury trial, he’s more than up to this. MAY THE FORCE (4) is a Cosmic Force filly on debut for Lyle Chandler, improving nicely between her two trials. Worth monitoring for any market push. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Silver Dream. |

PRD REAL ESTATE LIVERPOOL PLAINS CLASS 1 SHOWCASE HANDICAP 1600m
Firealarm and Disco Prince will press forward in a keen battle for the lead. VISUALISE (4) keeps leaving himself with a stack to do, but he’s edging closer with every run. JPH sticks on the quick back-up and if he can have him that pair or two nearer, he’ll be very hard to hold out. PROCLIVITY (3) broke through stylishly at Gilgandra with a bit up the sleeve and looks the type to relish the rise in trip. Bullock’s booking is a strong signal of confidence. LUCKY OZZIE (2) has returned in good order and continues to tick along nicely. He wasn’t far away again last start and doesn’t need to improve much to go a couple better, especially with the claimer keeping him in light. CASCAN (6) didn’t meet market expectations last time but strips fitter third-up and is worth keeping safe for the minors. SUGGESTED PLAY: Visualise to win. |

EVERGREEN TURF SHOWCASE SUPER MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400m
Solid tempo anticipated with My Sweetheart taking charge. THE BENTLEY (12) was below his best last start at Newcastle, but his two runs prior were genuine flashing-light efforts. He’s been finding the maiden win elusive, yet he rates well in this line-up and gets another chance to finally put one away. MISS MAVERICK (10) took a big step forward last start in testing Orange conditions, chasing hard into a close second. She strips fitter and should appreciate the rise in trip. MAGIC MERLIN (1) couldn’t match a smart winner at Walcha but still beat home the rest and now gains a key booking in Bullock. With race experience under his belt and natural improvement, he’s in the mix despite the sticky draw. BOLD BENDER (4) finds it tough to break through, but there are efforts scattered through her form that measure up. She’s worth keeping safe for the minors. SUGGESTED PLAY: Slight lean to The Bentley. |

GOWINGS TOYOTA COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
Expecting Toke to lead Thirty Degrees at just a moderate tempo. SECOND SWING (6) returns for the Cavanough yard and looks to have come back in terrific order, tightening up nicely through two handy hit-outs. He keeps the blinkers from his recent trial and draws to advantage for Bullock, who should have him in the right spot. Bold showing anticipated. THIRTY DEGREES (3) sets up well fourth-up after showing clear improvement in his past two runs. The draw is sticky, but the rise in trip suits and he’s trending the right way. TOKE (8) also fourth-up and is a likely improver, though faces a tough task. WILLOW CAPRI (10) returns and has been readied with a soft trial. May sneak a minor spot. SUGGESTED PLAY: Second Swing to return a winner. |

ROGER MOYLAN MEMORIAL COUNTRY BOOSTED CLASS 2 SHOWCASE PLATE 1200m
Good pace headed by Cooma Hut, Magic Sorcerer and Snatchreilly, with Nation Changing and Kawatiri close by. SNATCHREILLY (5) doesn’t win out of turn but is as honest as they come. He has good early muster, draws to advantage, and should be in this for a very long way. GELSEY (8) went right on with it second-up at Walcha, putting his CL1 away with authority. He strips fitter again and has more to offer - he’ll just need a touch of luck from the wide alley. NATION CHANGING (4) returns. Couldn't get going in his second prep, after going 2/2 in his debut campaign. Has been readied with a Scone trial and reunites with winning hoop in Weir. Can play a major role fresh. KAWATIRI (11) charged home strongly to get off the mark two back at Gunnedah. Less effective last time but is worth keeping in mind. SUGGESTED PLAY: Snatchreilly gets the win. |

CLUB QUIRINDI LIGHTNING SHOWCASE HANDICAP 1000m
Chandon Star and Cresta Run possess good early speed. RIVKIN (4) meets Dune And Dusted 2kg better after flashing late at Walcha to miss by only a neck. He strips fitter third-up and is going well, but once again has a sticky gate to contend with. INAZUMA BOY (10) put it all together at Dubbo last start, digging in to score by a head. This is tougher, but he gets 2kg off and deserves serious respect. CHANDON STAR (3) is absolutely airborne, bringing up the hat-trick at Tamworth when leading throughout again. He’ll spear forward and make them catch him. DUNE AND DUSTED (8) had their measure second-up at Walcha, digging deep to notch up their eighth career win. He concedes weight to a few here but should only improve further third-up. Very capable of repeating the dose. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rivkin to win. |

ELDERS KILLARA FEEDLOT QUIRINDI SHOWCASE CUP 1600m
Expect a strong tempo with Hibiki Harmony pressing on from an outside draw, with Voracious nearby. HIBIKI HARMONY (7) has been edging toward a win in her past two city runs, only to be reeled in late on both occasions. She’s been freshened 62 days and kept ticking over with a sharp Scone trial. With her natural early speed she can offset the wide draw, take control, and prove very hard to catch. KNIFE'S EDGE (5) keeps leaving himself with too much to do but has been savaging the line. Freshened for this and boasting a strong record at the trip, he’s the one who can swoop if they overcook it up front. VORACIOUS (2) couldn’t bring up the hat-trick at Walcha when a touch below his best, but he still boxed on for third. He gets an important claim under the big weight and draws to advantage. Can bounce back to winning ways. FIORSUM FRED (6) sets up nicely third-up and should sharpen with the blinkers going on. He backs up quickly from Tamworth and has the engine to be competitive - he’ll just need a slice of luck from the wide alley. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hibiki Harmony to win |

DAD AND DAVE TURF BENCHMARK 58 SHOWCASE HANDICAP 1400m
Solid tempo likely with Via Rose, Mellencamp and Big Shot Legend prominent. BIG SHOT LEGEND (12) bounced straight back to form this morning with a solid chasing third at Gilgandra. Peaking now fourth-up and gets in well with the claim again. Bold showing anticipated. HALLE BEE (13) was poised to strike when resuming last time but just lacked a fitness edge late. Better for the hitout and will appreciate the rise in trip. Can give this a big shake. SILENT SERENADE (7) didn't give her rivals a sniff last start at Walcha when leading pillar-to-post. Will have to use that early dash again to overcome the wide draw and will take plenty of catching if left alone. ARRABBIATA (5) is knocking on the door and should be peaking fourth-up, though will need some luck from the car park draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Big Shot Legend to win. |
