Extra trip is a plus and will be in this for a long way. DIRTY ROBBER (3) looks the main danger. Safely held fresh but ran a much-improved race second-up when beaten only a length over a mile. Extra trip looks a big plus and fitter again. Goes close with a repeat of the latest figure. Same goes for DANDYNOMITE (2) who was safely held fresh then improved sharply last time. Should be ready to fire now out further in journey. MISS TROMBARI (7) raced on speed last time and gave a sight, weakening only late and just missing the frame. Can give a sight again. UZVARA (5) is the least experienced of the field and resumed in far richer company. Fitter, this is easier, and blinkers are added. Could well improve out of sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Gotcha Moment. |

Mangione should be able to comfortably find the front. INITIAL MOMENT (7) is fitter for two runs back and looks ready to win. Solid fresh then ran an eye-catching second last time over 2000m. This suits and gets her chance to break through. HERE COMES RUBY (6) has been racing in far richer company, the latest when sixth at Cranbourne over 2060m. At her top now and back in grade. Go close. TRIORA (4) ran last fresh then finished ninth last time but the form is far better than it looks. Was tested in city class last time in and won maiden over 2600m. Extra trip is a plus, fitter again and will relish this company. One of the few with upside and won't get a better chance to find some form. STAY IN YOUR LANE (11) has been freshened since a disappointing run last time. Better than that and can sneak into the finish. SIDE PIECE (2) is well placed in this line-up and worth following up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Initial Moment gets chance. |

The trio Drumlargen, Cincincity and Foxiet will set a strong tempo. CINCINCITY (6) gave a sight and went close over 1350m two back then tested over 1454m last time and was well off her best. Back in trip and this suits. Has placed in 6/10 career starts and 3/4 this sharper trip. Worth another chance. DRUMLARGEN (1) is a speedy type who led and gave a sight last time over the border when runner-up at Naracoorte. Tricky gate but will give a bold sight. CAPE RADSTOCK (10) was fourth on debut then put away again. Fitter for two jump-outs, winning the latest, and has good upside. Low draw and expected to run well. KIJIVU (17) has been racing on speed lately and not far away. One of the contenders on best form. MONIX (2) was a close-up second fresh and given a let-up again since then. Winning chance on best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cincincity is worth another try. |

Genuine tempo with Shay's Way leading the way. PUNIC WAR (6) has a tricky gate but won't get a better chance to break through in a moderate maiden. Fourth at Sandown two back then just missed last time when beaten a head after sitting deep throughout. Close to a win and with any luck in the run will go close. CUTTIN' CLASS (16) was well fancied last time on the back of some good runs then ran a poor race last time, dropping right out in the straight. Rates a top chance on previous form and gets a chance to bounce back. DON'T SAY NO MIKKI (3) was fourth here fresh beaten less than a length then finished third at the latest at Ararat. Ready to win and will go back from the wide draw and get home hard. SHAY'S WAY (12) ran a better race second-up and has placed third-up. One of the chances. APADANA (15) is a former NSW galloper having her first run in this area. Best form stacks up and expected to be winding up late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Punic War gets chance. |

Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Blue Ensign. Several win chances in this. HE'S ON SONG (8) returned from a spell over a mile and wound up strongly to finish fifth, beaten only a length. Fitter and has good upside at just third career outing. Extra trip looks a plus and will go close with a repeat. OLYMPIAD (9) turned in a good effort last time when not far from the winner. Looks hard to beat again. FINANCE MERCHANT (6) ran fourth on debut then spelled again. Has raced twice this campaign for two placings and looks close to break through. Extra trip is a plus and will wind up late. STARTYOURENGINE (14) ran a much improved race at second out and looks suited by the longer journey. Has upside and is worth following up. BLUE ENSIGN (4) races on speed and will give a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: He's On Song looks just that. |

Solid tempo anticipated with She Flys leading the way. Quite a good race with a few different angles. SURFY PETE (3) has missed the frame at the last two but both in tougher grade. Was fourth in the Mount Gambier Summer Cup then sixth last time at Ararat in a BM70. Comes back a couple of notches and is overdue to break through. Gets his chance. KHANT BEE (5) is a lightly raced galloper who resumed from a long spell with an eye-catching fourth over a mile at Seymour. Will be far fitter for the run and looks suited by the extra ground. Worth following over a trip this time in. Long time since a win for SHE'S A CON (7) but is going much better than it looks. Raced in open class two back then last start drew an outside gate and was forced back to last before making late ground. Back a grade and drawn better. Can improve sharply. SHE FLYS (8) is one of the few that will be on speed and is going along well. Can give a sight off the low draw. BERTRAND (1) is a promising type stepping up in grade. DUKE OF BEDFORD (4) is a top chaser resuming. SUGGESTED PLAY: Surfy Pete on home track. |

Take The Prize should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep her honest. The majority are mixing form. ARTPARK (12) has been one of those and put in a poor one last time over the border. The start prior won by a space. Senior rider goes aboard this time and is worth another chance at home. KAWA (7) resumed after a long break with an encouraging fifth and will be much fitter for it. Draws well and has the ability. SMART RETURN (9) had been thereabouts but relished the extra ground last time and led throughout to score. Has a tricky gate to overcome here but goes very well at this circuit with two wins and a placing from three tries. Must include. DIAMOND WAR (2) has been safely held in richer company last two but did win only try course and distance and will be winding up late. BELLALIQUE (10) was no match at Sandown Hillside latest but this suits and will also be doing best work late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Give Artpark another try. |

A strong gallop is likely with Shimshalar and The Wayfarer taking up the running, closely attended by Body Of Venus and Final Atom. Tough race and looking for the fresh legs. SYMPHONITE (11) is a lightly raced galloper who kept improving last time in and did place when last resuming. This looks an ideal start to the campaign. Yet to prove she's not just a wet tracker but expected to go close this line-up. BAMA SLAMA (5) was good fresh then ran a poor race last time in what itself has turned out to be a poor form race. Forget the run and rates highly on previous form. Drawn for every chance in the box seat and willing to give another go. XTRAMAGIC (8) has been in the minors the last couple and looks overdue. Goes very well here at home and should be in the finish. VILLE DE LUMIERE (12) is a progressive type resuming and is coming off a jump-out win. May want a fraction further but drawn to stalk and finish on hard fresh. OVER THE EDGE (4) was well held fresh but fitter again and can improve sharply. SHAME ON SUE (14) is on the quick back-up and rates highly if she lines up again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with the fresh Symphonite. |
