WUNDERBAR (5) closed last prep nine weeks ago when she finished fourth over 1700m at Sapporo Dirt. Has shown very good speed at both runs to date and looks very well placed here. Take catching off the low draw. VALBONA (12) was at long odds on debut last time out and finished fourth, beaten 2.25 lengths, over 1600m at Nakayama. Open to improvement and back to a maiden. Looks a serious contender despite the draw. SAINT GAUDENS (10) was solid on debut last start when beaten 12 lengths into seventh over 1800m at Niigata on August 17. Back in trip and back to a maiden. Has upside and can measure up. SUNDAY PARTY (14) debuted three weeks ago when he finished fourth over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt, beaten 3.5 lengths. Improver who can feature in the finish.

MAKANA ANELA (10) wasn't really fancied in a Newcomer on debut but ran a strong race, finishing third and beaten 3 lengths over 1600m at Hanshin. Should improve sharply and has the leading rider going on. This looks a nice race. COSMIC BOX (3) found the line nicely to grab second last time out over 1600m at Nakayama. Ready to win and another forward showing expected. KING GLORY (4) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 3 lengths when fourth over 2000m at Nakayama three weeks ago. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. WIN RAFAGA (2) wasn't far away on debut last start over 2000m at Niigata, finishing fifth and beaten 3.5 lengths. Gave a sight off the wide draw. Take catching this alley.

ARDE KINGDOM (9) is backing up eight days after finishing third over 2000m at this track. Looks close to a maiden win. Jumps from a wide barrier but is likely to be in the finish. BRISA MARINA (10) resumed from a spell last start with a sound third over 1800m at Nakayama. Much better effort after a spell and looks nicely placed to play a major role. IBUKI (6) was solid on debut last start, winding up nicely at the end of 2000m to finish fourth at Nakayama. Ran on well on debut after settling midfield. Top-three claims. CHARING CROSS (3) stepped out for his debut over 1800m at this track back on June 21 and finished ninth, beaten 13 lengths. Was strongly fancied on debut then given a long break. Worth another chance.

MON SOUHAIT (11) is a two-year-old colt who was purchased for USD $ 100,000 (Keeneland - USA 2024 September Yearling Sale). Leading rider aboard and forward showing expected. GEISTREICH (9) is a two-year-old colt at the races for the first time. From an elite family that includes Grade 1 winner Costa Nova, being by Makfi from Colorful Blossom. Top rider engaged. Promising type who is ready to run a bold race. GOLDEN SLAM (2) is on debut for the Y Ikee stable. Two-year-old colt by Bricks And Mortar from Gouin. Stable have a strong record with first starters and rider has a great record for the yard. SUKH (8) is a two-year-old colt on debut from the stable of Yuki Uehara. By Maurice from Marble Cake. All eyes will be on the filly EXCEED (12). First-starter by Kitasan Black from the stakes winner Chateau Blanche and is a full sister to champion galloper Equinox, who was a six time Grade 1 winner. Comes from a stable which has an impressive strike rate with the first-starters. Leading rider engaged and sure to be strongly fancied to kick off with a win. MONCHIQUE (1) is on debut for the Shinsuke Hashiguchi stable. Two-year-old colt by Screen Hero from Epic Girl. Likely to enjoy a nice run from this favourable draw. Bold showing expected. BENTAYGA ORSA (9) is a two-year-old colt on debut from the stable of Hiroo Shimizu. By Silver State from T O Meter. Leading rider engaged. ANGEL VOICE (7) is a nicely bred two-year-old colt making his first appearance at the races. By Kizuna from Xanas who has produced some fine gallopers, including winners at black type level. Promising type who looks set to play a big role.

SEGUIR EL VIENTO (14) lines up for the first time since July 19. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1400m at this track. Yet to win first up but placed 2/3 tries. Has a wide draw but best figures stack up and expected to go close. MORNING MAGIC (13) comes here off a break of four months. Placed only other try when fresh when over 1600m at this track. Comes here with definite claims. SANTA ANITA (2) was well in commission when resuming last start over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt when second, beaten 3 lengths. Winning rider Keita Tosaki sticks. Jumped from wide out last time but much better draw here. Expected to measure up. MERCI JE T'AIME (6) closed last prep ten weeks ago when she finished eighth over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Has won fresh. Definite claims.
7 01:25 Allowance Race 1600m
BOLT TESORO (10) resumes in a similar race to his last run four months ago when sixth, beaten 4 lengths. Sits handy and has won fresh. Looks a top chance. CAFE ROI D'OR (2) returned from a spell five weeks ago when he was beaten 3.5 lengths into ninth over 1500m at Sapporo. Has never missed the frame second up. Nicely placed to take this out. CAUCASUS GOLD (16) finished out of the money when fresh from a spell two starts back then was beaten 6 lengths when fifth over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt eight weeks ago. Yet to miss the placings from four starts at this track. The engagement of Y Yoshida is a positive move. Will give a start off the wide draw but charge home late. ADELANTE (7) returns from a spell of nine weeks. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when 15th over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Very fast early and will take catching fresh.

AARON'S ROD (4) is back from a spell of eight months. Closed last prep as a winner, taking out a 2400m contest at this track by 1.3 lengths. Promising type expected to measure up again. SUNRISE GUTS (3) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race when fresh from a spell last time out, finishing second and beaten only a neck over 2200m at Chukyo. Sole career wins was when second-up. TIMUR (8) resumes in a similar race to his last run four-and-a-half months ago when fourth, beaten 1.1 lengths. Has the ability but a long time since a win. Worth plenty of thought. RED VARIATO (5) went to the paddock after scoring at his last appearance three months ago over 2600m at Hakodate. One to consider.
9 02:30 TAKANOSUYAMA TOKUBETSU 1600m
KING NO JO (3) is a promising galloper who got the prize at his only run last prep four-and-a-half months ago over 1600m at this track. Unbeaten here and both wins have been while fresh. Christophe Lemaire who has two wins when partnering stays on. Expecting a bold showing. MATENRO BAROWS (12) was well held in the TV Tokyo Hai Aoba Sho (Japanese Derby Trial) won by Energico over 2400m at this track at his last appearance five-and-a-half months ago. This is an ideal race to kick off. Top hope. STRAIGHT TALKER (16) resumes in a similar race to his only run last prep back on June 15 when second, beaten a neck. Should park just off the speed. One of the main contenders. DAWN CHORUS (6) returns after a spell of four-and-a-half months. Looking to emulate her win at Niigata to kick off the last campaign.Super consistent and does go well fresh.

PEPTIDE TIGER (7) returns form a break. Placed when returning from a spell last time in work over 1400m at Hanshin Dirt, making it 3/5 minors while fresh. Has the ability and should be right in the finish. NOT FOUND (16) last appeared when successful by a neck over 1200m at Niigata Dirt 11 weeks ago, the only time she went to the races last prep. Christophe Lemaire who has two wins when partnering stays on. Consistent type who excels fresh Well placed and should be in the finish. Y Y LEGEND (14) clung on to finish third last start over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt, beaten 0.8 lengths. Has been racing in great heart and best figures measure up. Sure to run well. CAFE NIX (3) is a handy type who resumes after a break of five months. Only appeared once last prep when she finished fifth over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.25 lengths. Should settle handy in the run. Deserves respect on best figures.

BOND GIRL (8) is Grade 1 placed and returns from a short break. Raced once last campaign which was a narrow defeat over 1600m in the G3 Sekiya Kinen at Niigata. Has a win and five minors from six tries fresh. Should be in the finish. SEKITOBA EAST (11) was in great form before a break, winning two on end including a win over 1800m here. Finds the right race to launch another bright campaign. ADMIRE MATSURI (1) was racing well last preparation with two wins on end before her seventh in the G1 Victoria Mile at this track at the latest appearance on May 18. Does boast a strong first-up record. Placed over 1800m at this track when last resuming. Bold showing expected. SAFIRA (13) also resumes in easier grade. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1800m at Kyoto. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with two minor placings. Definite top-three chance.

Lots of these making up the numbers YUTO THE REN (14) is a progressive three-year-old colt who resumes from a break of five months, his last appearance being a win over 1400m at Kyoto Dirt. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a spell in three starts. Has the speed to overcome the draw. Go close fresh. PEISHA CAPE (5) returns from a layoff of seven months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1600m at this track. Finished campaign in great form and will be hard to hold out. MASANO UNICORN (13) closed last prep six months ago when he finished second over 1400m at Hanshin Dirt. Progressed well last time in and can return in winning form. One of the key chances. APRIL IN PARIS (12) improved sharply last time out to score by 2 lengths over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt eight weeks ago. Solid top-three prospects.
