4RACING WELCOMES YOU WORK RIDERS MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
Moderate maiden. LILAC SNOW (1) is an 11 starts maiden but did run a much better last time out here at this trip, beaten just a couple of lengths. Best figures measure up. Can get off the mark this time. MATTS ROCKET (6) has been racing over a bit further and also ran a better race last time when fourth over a mile here. This perhaps a little easier and will give a start but motor home late. LASTING LOOKS (3) is a three-start maiden who could only manage to finish fourth over 1000m at Turffontein Inside. First try this trip but will push forward and take catching. AMAZE ME (4) has been going around big odds but is a speedy type back in trip and will also be in this for a long way. |

RACING TODAY MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
GOLDEN OPERATOR (8) had two starts in first campaign and placed at both, showing good speed and boxing on well at each. Better for the break and looks hard to run down here fresh. POWER OF PEARLS (9) is the main danger. Has placed three of four career starts and is overdue for a maiden success. Has pace and should feature in the finish again. BOOM TOWN (6) looks the other main threat. Was well fancied on debut and not disgraced when fourth over this trip on the inside track at Turffontein. Sure to be improved and will be running on hard. The race really drops away outside that trio but REAL STUNNER (1) is fresh from a break and will be winding up late. |

#YOUCANBETONUS! MAIDEN PLATE 1800m
ETHICAL (4) is bursting to win a race and won't get a better chance. Has placed 4/6 so far and returned from a break with another minor, finishing runner-up over 1700m here. Fitter and can go one better. COUNCILLOR (10) made debut over 1450m and ran an eye-catching race, finishing fifth and only a couple of lengths from the winner in what looks a good form race. Has good upside and appeals as a big threat. ASIAH'S TIARA (1) is a 13 start maiden with a host of minors including a last start third over 2000m at Turffontein Inside beaten just a length. Has the fitness and figures to feature again. VILLARRICA (13) was run off legs over 1200m on debut and will be much improved stretching out further here. |

Great race despite a small field. BJORN IRONSIDE (1) is a consistent sprinter who placed fresh then scored last time over six furlongs. Likely to be lots of pressure here so coming back in trip may well help. Will take beating again. RONDEBOSCH (4) has good credentials including a last start placing at Grade 3 level before a break. Was a big winner when last resuming and will take catching this company. WAR OF KINGDOMS (2) is a promising type who was placed on debut then put together back to back wins before a spell. Sure to have improved further and no surprise to see a huge run here fresh. AFRICAN PRIDE (5) finished last campaign in the Grade 1 Gold Horse Medallion before a break. Resumed with an effortless win and fitter again so much be included. |

ALLIED STEELRODE CHARITY MILE 1 NOVEMBER MR 80 HANDICAP 2000m
Like the chances of CURTISS CONDOR (6) who was safely held over a mile fresh but that was in open class and a shade short. Was a winner here the start prior and has leading rider going aboard for this. Fitter and expecting sharp improvement back in grade and out in journey. EIGER SANCTION (5) has been racing well without winning and is another who looks an improver. Fifth last time over 1800m here but just missed the start prior over this journey. Good record this trip and deserves another try. AMERICAN REBEL (2) is fitter for three runs back and has been steadily building to a win. Looks a top chance to feature in the finish again. TITANS OF WAR (9) was a determined winner last time at big odds. More weight here but in the mix again. |

BETWAY SUMMER CUP 29 NOVEMBER FM 99 DIVIDED HANDICAP 1500m
TWOSTEP QUEEN (3) was most impressive in slightly lesser grade, winning by a space over 1450m at Turffontein Inside. Same weight here but in form and had a bit on them last time. Can measure up again. ACROSS THE POND (4) is fitter for three runs back and looks close to a win after filling the minor money at last two. Has started six times here for three wins and three minors and looks likely to be adding to that in this field. CEUTA (2) is way better than the fresh-up run suggests. Was a winner when last time second-up and expecting big improvement. POPLAR PARK (7) finished off last campaign in great style winning three of last four starts. This trip suits fresh and should be in the finish again. |

MAMLAMBO (3) is worth following. Was runner-up on debut then unbeaten in two starts since, the latest here over 1400m. Fitter again and looks a horse on the up. Go close. SAIGON SUZIE (6) was a big winner here over 1450m two back then dropped back to 1000m last time and run off legs. Forgive that and is well placed back out in journey. Expecting sharp improvement. CAPE SAFFRON (8) has been freshened since finishing fifth last time. At peak and looks a winning chance on best form. HAZY DAZY (9) was placed on debut then put away. Resumed with a determined win this course and distance and surely fitter for it. Can measure up again. |

NEXT VAAL RACEMEETING THURSDAY 23 OCTOBER CLASSIFIED STAKES 2400m
Very open staying contest. ROSY LEMON (6) has been thereabouts without winning, a close-up fifth two back then a solid fourth last time. Very well weighted for this and drawn for a good run with cover. Expected to run well. CARTAGENA (9) stepped up to 2000m last time and ran very well for a close-up third. Course and distance winner already and will give a sight up front. TRIDENT KING (3) hasn't been far away and is having first try at this longer journey. Best figures stack up and is another who will be hard to run down. ROMEO'S MAGIC (1) doesn't win out of turn but is proven at the track and distance. Aided by the claim and expected to improve on last couple. |
