NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:00 Gravelista Oct 25th & 26th Maiden Plate 1200m
Speed should be right on over the 1200m journey. CHERGUI (1) clearly on top. He's first up here, another former James Cummings horse now with the Hayes yard. His 2yo form leaps off the page here, racing against the likes of Beiwacht and Mcgaw. Comes to a maiden for the first time in his career and should be knocking it off. LUDLUM (5) ran a strong race on debut at Ballarat over 1000m in a fast race, closing off well there. Better for that and will take beating. BEL LUPA (10) has just found one better in two starts to date and should be competitive once more. MR VEGAS (6) unraced 3yo gelding who has trialled eight times. Best trial form was when he won at Caulfield on September 24. Watch the market.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Chergui to win.
2 01:30 Godolphin - Internship Program 4YO+ Maiden Plate 1200m
From the wide draw Seeing Red can cross and set up a solid tempo. TEMPRANILLO (13) resumes for the Waller/Lane combination having shown ability last time in, getting out over a trip when narrowly beaten in a BM64 over 1900m at Canterbury before a break. No doubt 1200m is short of her best but she's back in a maiden and a fairly winnable one at that. AKA DAKA (2) resumes off a solid trial win at Tatura having been close to breaking through last time in. He is off nearly a year here so watch the market late for a guide. SEEING RED (16) was in the market on debut at Geelong but struggled and has been given a let up since. Trusting the market there and expecting improvement. ADIURO (1) is a 23 start maiden so tread carefully but his past two have been very good and he should run well. UNRIDDLE (6) improved nicely second up at Moe and should be ready to fire now.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Tempranillo to win.
3 02:00 Move to Strike at Lovatsville Maiden Plate 1600m
A few sit handy but there won't be a great deal of early pressure. SUNLIT SERENADE (14) resumed in a stronger maiden at Sandown Hillside and ran a strong race, coming from well back to motor into fourth, beaten two lengths. Now gets to 1600m for the first time which should suit down to the ground. Lane goes on and while the draw likely sees her get back, she should be too good. MOVE THE TORANA (9) ran a better race last start at Kilmore having struggled on heavy going prior. Expect she gets a nice run here midfield and can prove very competitive once more. ZEACTION (6) stuck on gamely fresh at Benalla over 1406m to get within a long neck. She showed promise last time in over more ground so this trip second up looks perfect. MEET THE WIFE (8) has been solid to the line in two runs back from a spell and now should be ready to peak getting to a mile. BON EROS (11) wasn't bad on debut in the same maiden as Sunlit Serenade and is open to improvement.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Sunlit Serenade.
4 02:35 Sejardan @ Blue Gum Farm BM66 Handicap 2000m
Split, Bellonado and Nassak Diamond can settle forward in a race lacking a designated leader. LEONCHROI (10) is the one with upside that can challenge. Two runs back have just been fair but he looked talented in his maiden campaign and getting to 2000m will be far more suitable. KENTUCKY NICK (4) was outclassed in a tougher race at Flemington last time and did win his only go around here. He can roll forward from the wide gate and take catching. BLACK PEPPERMINT (3) wasn't bad fresh over a mile at Flemington and will be fitter. Up in trip suits, he'll be strong late. WHAT A CROSS (7) ran in the middle of the pack last start at Warrnambool on a soft track. Is up in journey today and is a each way chance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leonchroi on top.
5 03:10 Go Seymour BM62 Handicap 1000m
Strong pace from Eternal Darkness, Keepsake and Zoubelle. KEEPSAKE (9) is a lightly raced mare who has always promised plenty of ability, starting firmly in the market in three runs to date and in good company as well. She ran first up at Ballarat over this trip and wasn't far away in fourth as an even money favourite, off an 11 month spell there. She should strip much fitter now and did bolt in with her maiden at her only second up run to date. FUROSSHI (8) is racing well without winning, beaten a neck at Bendigo last time out. She doesn't win out of turn but won't need to improve much and Beau Mertens has been aboard for both of her wins. ETERNAL DARKNESS (4) resumes for his second campaign. He looked smart in his maiden campaign, beating a handy one at start two. Keeping safe. ZOUBELLE (10) resumes for a new yard and has ability, beating a handy one as favourite before a spell. Watch the market.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keepsake to win.
6 03:45 Seymour Toyota F&M Handicap 1300m
Plenty of pace from Eloped, Sirena and Khadime primarily. TOURNELLE (3) got the blinkers on last start and it proved the difference, looming up strongly and racing away to win impressively at Sandown Hillside last time out to break a long run of placings. The time was good there and she'll get every chance from barrier three with D Lane booked to ride. KHADIME (10) was poor first up as a $2.60 chance at Sale, dropping right out there. Take on trust, but her form last time in reads very well for a race like this and she could bounce back quickly. HAPPY LINK (8) continues to race well, placing in her past three trying hard behind a smart type last start. She'll run another honest race and be in the finish. SIRENA (7) resumes. She's finished in the quinella at 4/8 starts and put up some decent performances in 3yo company. She draws well and can measure up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Tournelle to win.
7 04:20 Seymour Park BM74 Handicap 1100m
Looks a decent tempo with Hulm, Prinzerro and Royal Lass leading the charge. ACTUALITY (10) hit the line strongly first up at Sandown Hillside behind the smart Just Like Gaby, getting within a long neck on the line. She's not an 1000m horse so the rise in trip here will suit much better and she should have improvement to come with Williams on from the inside gate. LEGIO TEN (1) resumes for a new yard. He's trialled well at Tatura and has largely raced in better company than this, fourth in a BM84 when fresh last time in. Rates well. PER SEMPRE (7) is in flying form, beating a handy field at Flemington last time out. Will have to circle a few here but should run well again. ROYAL LASS (9) is coming off a strong win at Benalla last time out when getting a nice run on speed which she sets up to do so here as well. Can measure up. FISSION (2) needs to find best but has claims.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Actuality to win.
8 04:55 bet365 Seymour Cup 1600m
Genuine tempo with El Rocko leading the way. Open edition of the Seymour Cup. HARD TO CROSS (7) looks suited coming back to 1600m having been part of a strong pace at Sandown Hillside last time and fading late. Form over this distance range prior reads well including a win over Globe at Moonee Valley three back. Can land in a good spot and run very well. MOLLY BLOOM (5) improved sharply second up in the G2 Stocks Stakes at Moonee Valley, coming from back in the field to grab third, albeit in a race that suited those off the pace. Her best form reads well for this and she'll be very hard to hold out. CHARTERHOUSE (2) was a surprise winner out to 1800m last time but relished the strong test to win well. Back to 1600m now and drawn wide is a slight knock but he'll take beating. COTE ATLANTIQUE (6) is coming along well and measured up nicely at G3 level last time. Expecting that form to hold up. EL ROCKO (3) was okay last time but had been flying prior. He just needs a bit of give in the ground.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Hard To Cross on top.
9 05:25 National Thoroughbreds Week 20-24 Nov BM70 Handicap 1400m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Harrumph Harrumph. LOVELYCUT (14) looks to have found an ideal race here coming a fair way back in grade. The fresh run at Sandown Hillside with 61.5kg was a great return before probably being outclassed against some talented mares at Caulfield. The winner there was Miraval Rose who has since won well at Group level. Back to a BM70 now and D Lane sticks, there's plenty to like. HARRUMPH HARRUMPH (17) is a lightly raced gelding who stuck on well fresh with 61kg as favourite despite finishing fourth. He's got good ability and should strip much fitter with improvement to come. IMPENDING LINK (6) continues to race well without winning, trying hard at Flemington in a truly run race last time. Drawn well and can break through. DUBAI WATCH (9) is off a let up but has won his past two and has to be respected. FREAK OF NATURE (4) was much better last time and comes under notice now.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Lovelycut to win.
