NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:05 LADBROKES POPULAR SRM QTIS Three-Year-Old & Four-Year-Old Handicap 950m
I'lltellyoui'min, Sowilo Siren and Haphazard all possess good speed.  SOWILO SIREN (1) grows a leg for hoop Leslight who has two wins and three placings from just five steers and strikes a very winnable contest here. Looks to be building up to another victory with three consecutive placings and rates the one they all have to run down. MISTER TIA (2) is yet to miss a drum in three spins around this circuit and should get a gun run in transit from the inside alley. Looms as the main danger. RAFF VADER (4) hasn't been too far away at the past couple and will be rock-hard fit for this. Top-three credentials on best form. TRAVELLING SWEET (3) strips fitter second-up from the spell and may earn some minor money. HAPHAZARD (6) is eligible for easier races but will be improved with that debut effort now in the locker. Respect any market moves.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Sowilo Siren.
2 01:40 LADBROKES RACING EXTRAS IN MULTI Maiden Handicap 1500m
Uris and Outono to take up the running at a strong tempo.  COMBAT CRUSADER (1) hasn't been too far away in all three runs this preparation and this is not an overly strong affair. Ready to peak now fourth-up from the break and should be right there when the whips are cracking. OUTONO (2) has gotten better with each career effort and looks to be working up towards a maiden victory. Gets the services of Wiggins in the irons and will make his presence felt. FLOURISH (5) placed around this circuit last time out and rates among the top-three hopes again. URIS (4) has hit the top-five in ten of 11 starts and is usually thereabouts. A must for the multiples. TRUSTING STAR (9) next in line from the inside marble.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 1,2,5,4.
3 02:15 CAIRNS LOCAL NEWS OPEN Handicap 1250m
Cracking tempo with Fodor and Spirit Meister leading the way. GO GETABOY (1) grows a leg over this course and distance with four wins and three placings from just seven attempts and has saluted on all going. Sure to be right there when the judge calls a halt. VALENKI (2) was a touch disappointing at the latest outing but the form prior was full of merit. Can bounce right back without surprising. FODOR (3) has only missed a drum once in six starts over this track and trip and maps ideally from the inside alley. In the mix. SPIRIT MEISTER (6) is a six-time winner here who shouldn't be slept on. Worth including in all wider plays. CRYSTAL CHIEF (5) is also in contention after a sound second over 1200m at Atherton, only beaten 0.9 lengths.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 1,2,3,6.
4 02:50 NATIONAL BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1400m
Call Me Hilton to take up the running at a moderate tempo.  The well-related LECONFIELD (3) (half to G2 winner Tuscan Queen) finally shed the maiden tag over this track and trip last time out and will have derived a stack of confidence from that breakthrough victory. Nicely placed to go back-to-back. PREMIUM STAR (1) has a handy record over this course and distance with two wins and a second from four attempts and get the services of gun hoop Wiggins in the saddle. Shapes as a key contender. INNOVATES (2) saves his best form for his home circuit here and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. In the mix. IT'S BEEN A TREK (4) has only missed a drum once in five starts over this seven-furlong journey and looks one for the exotics players. STARMEIRA (6) best of the rest.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leconfield to win again.
5 03:25 POWERHOUSE PROPERTY CAIRNS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 950m
Genuine tempo with Threebrothers leading the way.  THE KAMIKAZE (5) has come back in fine fashion putting back-to-back wins together over this track and trip with hoop Fry being in the saddle for both victories. Racing high on confidence and should be right there at the business end again. FLYING ARTIST (2) resumes here but the form he showed before the break was good enough for a race like this. Gets the services of Wiggins in the stirrups and can show up while fresh. GAMADALE NIP (4) has a win and two placings from six attempts over this sprint journey and is usually thereabouts. Top-three conveyance. THREEBROTHERS (8) will be ready to peak now fourth run back and may earn some minor money. CATALINA DREAMING (6) next best from the favourable draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY: The Kamikaze to bring up the hat-trick.
6 04:00 RED BERET HOTEL BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1250m
Mutafiq to find the front in the small field.  Former NSW galloper PAR FIVE (4) looked good winning around this circuit when having his first run for the new stable and will have taken some confidence from that victory. Sure to find this easier than what he has been facing down south and can go back-to-back to start the campaign. TARGETED (5) has won over this track and trip and should get a cosy run in transit from gate two. Has the ability to take this out. NIPPA'S NIGHTCAP (3) is a bit hit or miss but is capable of a strong showing if he brings his A-game. Cannot be taken lightly. The well-related MUTAFIQ (1) (half to 2xG3 winner Enthaar) strips fitter second-up from the break and must be respected from the Massingham yard. Makes some appeal. DREAMWOMAN (2) rounds out the selections in a race with only a handful of chances.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Par Five.
7 04:40 MELBOURNE CUP LUNCHEON - BOOK TODAY Class 3 Handicap 1500m
Eclipsion has the pace to lead in what is likely to be a moderate tempo.  Former NSW galloper COLOURS OF AUTUMN (1) hit the frame at Townsville when having her first run for the new barn before getting the chocolates here at the latest outing. Jockey Cormack has been in the saddle for both efforts and stays on top today. Rates the testing material. INDEFINITE (2) has been right there in all three runs since joining the Russo camp and will be at peak fitness now fourth-up. Include in calculations. SAND 'N' POWER (4) got a well-deserved victory at Bowen last time out and rates a genuine top-three prospect on that performance. The well-related ECLIPSION (3) (full to Listed winner and G2 placed Far Too Easy) is better than recent efforts suggest and can improve sharply without shocking. PICCAPEPPA (9) next best down on the minimum weight.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Colours Of Autumn to salute again.
