Expecting a strong tempo with Captain Cat, Big Mix and Reel Crystal going forward ahead of Far From A Cry and French Crossing. CAPTAIN CAT (1) found the line strongly last time when narrowly beaten over 1628m at Moe at his third run back. Raced a short-priced favourite and is ready to win. VIVID REASONING (3) is also fourth up and assess him on his narrow defeat here two back. Draws out but will be hitting the line. BIG MIX (11) is in a leading metro yard and can show more with the blinkers applied for the first time. Was switched from the Sydney barn and needed the outing last time. LUCKY CHANCE (2) returns from a lay-off. Ran sixth in a jump-out at Cranbourne. Opened last campaign with an eighth at Pakenham over 1600m. Might need the run but include in wider plays. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Captain Cat. |

Solid tempo with Brutal World possessing enough dash to find the front. WAILEA (14) jumped out well and was only beaten 1.7L over 1200m at Mornington on debut. Draws an inside barrier and is open to plenty of improvement. Should go close. Ditto BRUTAL WORLD (4), who is third-up and ready to show his best form. That would be good enough, but she needs a good ride pushing over from a wide gate. Wary of GOOD HARMONY (12) on debut. Well-bred and her latest jumpout was sharp. Has the blinkers on and elevate her if the big money comes. REGOR (11) is in a leading metro yard and found a place at Swan Hill off a longish spell. Has a soft draw and the winkers on and fitter is likely to race well. BORN SURVIVOR (1) is third up with more to give and raced favourite at Echuca last time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wailea with the race fitness. |

Off the low draw Una Gentle should lead at a genuine tempo. EXTRAGALACTIC (7) just missed at Echuca on debut when expected to need it. There was a stack of merit in the effort and she's sure to have come on. Will have to do it the hard way again, but can win if things go to plan, BILLIE (6) peaks off a Moe placing and things could have gone better. She's likely to race more forward and can make the finish again. MOON GODDESS (10) just missed at a short quote at Swan Hill and has more to give. She's quick enough to clear the awkward barrier. The speedy UNA GENTLE (12) resumes and will use the inside barrier to advantage. She's right up to this if presented forward. IMMORTAL TRUTH (9) debuts for a leading metro yard and placed the latest of five jumpouts. Maps well and the betting will be key. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Extragalactic. |

Hot tempo expected from Derelict and Free To Play. Tough. AUCKLAND (3) came back to the turf and turned the form around winning at Echuca this grade and a short price favourite. That stacks up for this, and he will push forward and take beating again. SHE IS ALL MAGIC (10) disappointed on the same day over 1200m but missed a nose here prior over this distance. She deserves another chance. NIETZSCHE (8) resumes and is best on the fresh side. Draws the inside barrier and has a handy 2kg claim. He's in the mix. DERELICT (1) didn't feature in stronger at Mornington but missed a nose from the pace at Casterton prior. Uses an inside gate and has claims in a more suitable assignment. MAGIC DRUM (2) resumes and is proven fresh. Placed in a recent jumpout and monitor the betting with him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Auckland over She Is All Magic. |

Expecting a genuine tempo with Farisha setting the tone from an outside draw, joined by Nasrin. Tough to assess away from the top contenders. FARISHA (7) brings narrow defeats from here at Wodonga last time. She will push forward and has the winkers on again. Comes back 200m briefly freshened and finds a winnable assignment. MONT SAINT MICHEL (3) resumed here in the same race as the above beaten 1L and then was only 2L drift at Echuca also over this trip. Presents fitter and doubt there's much between this pair. KYOKUSHIN (1) has a wide gate to deal with but is best on the fresh side and his best form would have him in the finish. The betting will guide with him. DUDANCE (9) impressed missing a whisker at Kilmore first-up but has been plainer the two since. Kept on the fresh side and she can't be ignored. UGLY NICOS (5) is finding it hard to win but has been within range both starts this preparation and maps well. May enjoy the longer sprint now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Farisha. |

Without an obvious leader, it may be left to Broadfield, Hand Of Doom and Shockstar to control the tempo. SHOCKSTAR (3) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 2010m at Kilmore. Maps well and is well-placed in this lineup. Top chance. MARLIN (1) missed a whisker this track/trip and then skipped across to Adelaide and didn't get warm in a 63 at big odds. This suits better, and on a 3-week return he can make the finish. HAND OF DOOM (2) comes back in trip off the Maiden win at Moe, where he led them up. Has a low gate and will give a sight at decent odds. SUNSET MISSILE (6) would be a chance at best but she has to find it as would SMOKIN' GIANT (8). SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Shockstar. |

Gives away starts but her best numbers stack right up. KIMONO (6) peaks and was back on track beaten 1L at Echuca. An inside barrier should be advantageous, and she has claims. LITTLE RICHIE TURF (9) would be a hope on his big effort this track/trip two back. Has a handy gate and winning rider Hefel is reunited. CUDMORE STREET (1) has just one success to his name but has recorded five minor placings from 15 starts. Last start finished fourth over 2200m at this track. Include. MRS GOSSIP (12) is struggling this preparation but could add value to betting. SUGGESTED PLAY: Littlebirdie appeals most. |
