S&S Equipment Rental & Sales Maiden Plate 2447m
Savvy Nights, Fern Frenzy and Hand Of Doom can settle forward in a race lacking a designated leader. Weak and tricky. STARS AND SPANGLES (4) was in the market on the synthetic but dropped away after positioning forward. He's won a Geelong trial since, and the blinkers go on for the first time. In good hands, and quick improvement looks likely. LAST CARD LOUIE (2) lacked a kick in the straight at Geelong but improved sharply the one before placing at Bendigo over this distance. That would make him tough to beat. SAVVY NIGHTS (3) led and folded up badly against the above at Geelong, but had improved at Seymour prior. Worth another chance in this lineup. FERN FRENZY (5) is third-up and on a quick return. She placed at Moe the last time she tacked this distance, and that would have her right in it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Stars And Spangles. |

Solomons Flooring Maiden Plate 1017m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large number of unraced runners. KIWI RAIDER (10) looked the goods winning two Cranbourne jumpouts before jumping $3.0 at Mornington on debut when well beaten in third behind a dominant winner. She could have had better luck, and the in-form Brown sticks aboard. Maps for a soft run and stripping filter she deserves another chance. GIDDY GIRL (8) resumes for a leading metro stable. She raced in an Open 2 at Rosehill on debut and didn't handle the wet track. She has an inside gate and has trialled well at Cranbourne. A bold run is on the cards. DRAGON SCROLL (6) has been well seasoned for her debut, and Currie sticks from the latest jumpout. Draws for a soft run, and the well-bred filly is likely to race well. BRAZEN MARTINI (12) missed 1L at Seymour and will be better for it. Gets in well with the 2kg claim and has each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kiwi Raider has good upside. |

K.I.S Comms & Cameras Maiden Plate 1217m
Expecting a solid pace with Kagemusha, Good Onya Darl and Alesund leading the charge. KAGEMUSHA (9) resumed here off a 295-day break and was beaten a whisker on a heavy track. The blinkers go on for the first time, and there's rain about. He's sure to have come on and sets a decent standard. MANDRAKI (15) did enough on a heavy track at Bendigo on debut to suggest he's a winning chance. Bred to be good and should get every hope. TISSEYRE (10) debuts and has had a string of solid jumpouts. Placed at Cranbourne the latest, with race rider Mertens aboard. Maps well and a bold run is on the cards. REISNER (7) is third up and would be a winning chance at best. Has the blinkers on again and deserves consideration at a price. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Kagemusha to win. |

Blue Bandit is the likely leader at a strong tempo. BLUE BANDIT (2) was beaten 1.2 L at Mornington on debut, stalking the speed. That reads well, and he will be fitter again. McNeil sticks aboard and he gets the nod. BAKED (10) went well enough on debut and has jumped out well for her resumption. She will be naturally improved and is a live chance for a leading metro stable. GREAT FUEGO (6) debuts and is also in good hands. Has been well prepared, winning both her recent jumpouts. Stackhouse sticks from the latest. Has an inside barrier and a bold run is likely. VIENNA PRIDE (11) resumes and maps well. She will be naturally improved and has shown enough to consider. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Blue Bandit. |

Ladbrokes Quick Multi Maiden Plate 1628m
One Way Ride has good gate speed and likely to set a genuine tempo with the advantage of the inside draw. CAPTAIN CAT (1) has placed 5/6 and third-up is ready to show his best. Has an awkward barrier but this is a winnable assignment. GEE AND TEE (7) was plainer last time but had been going well into that. Presents on a 9-day return and will position forward. Ran her best number this race/trip. EAGLEFURTHER (6) made some improvement against the above at Kilmore and has a low barrier. Is running out of chances, but she can get some of the cash in a weak lineup. ONE WAY RIDE (9) has pieces of form that would see her competitive. Has the rail and can control the race. Newitt is reunited and she can give a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Captain Cat. |

Genuine tempo with the speedy Teddy Boy leading the way. HEY BELLA (12) was back to her best beaten 2L at Wangaratta stepping up to this trip. She's been kept on the fresh side and has the blinkers applied for the first time. Maps well and this is winnable. VEGAS ON FIRE (11) is busting to win and his placing here two back this track/trip was the best of her recent form. She will push forward and can threaten on the 7-day return. LUMPYS HIGHWAY (8) made good improvement when placing at Tatura and can go on with it. Maps well today and is a chance. BATTAGLIA (1) has been racing in stronger and the 2kg claimer will use the inside barrier. He's placed this trip and he's good enough. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Hey Bella. |

Moe Denture Clinic BM62 Handicap 2447m
Women In Uniform to take the lead and control the tempo. OMAMORI (1) capped two narrow defeats with a spacious win here over a middle distance. Keeps a top hoop and the staying journey should hold no fears. Draws inside and the lightly-raced galloper can go on with the job. MAWHERA (5) has threatened his last three and his latest was at Bendigo when stepping up to this distance. He also has an inside barrier to manage, but rates a decent chance. IN YOUR HANDS (6) won over 3100m last time and didn't have the best of it this trip prior. Coming back 653m is an ask, but she will run it out and rates some hope. ZILZIE LAD (3) is going well and tackles this journey for the first time. He can't be ruled out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Omamori. |

Cleaners World Gippsland BM56 Handicap 1017m
Expecting Simply Luscious to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. Competitive. INTRIGUING STATE (5) led and won easily first-up off a long break and has been narrowly beaten since, with the latest on the synthetic. He's been kept on the fresh side and will be hard to beat. MR TICKLES (3) is proving hard to catch but came off the synthetic and went well enough here last start without the best of luck. Has a handy 2kg claim back in grade and maps well. Suited in this and rates to go close. AFFIRMATIVE SMILE (9) led and was sharply better winning her Maiden at Bairnsdale and is sure to build on that for a leading metro stable. She can use the inside barrier and has to be considered. SIMPLY LUSCIOUS (4) resumes with a handy 3kh claim and his jumpout form suggests he will come back further improved. His narrow defeat at Mornington two back stacks right up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Intriguing State. |

Book Now for Moe Cup BM56 Handicap 1217m
Good pace expected with Frederick, Ranakye and Where's Brittany paving the way. LAVENDER GLORY (8) resumed in a 62 at Mornington and looked a run short. The longer sprint suits and she's right up to this at best. She's left the one to beat. HOT CHILLI MAMA (9) has made good improvement at her last two and gets in well with the 3kg claim. Draws awkwardly but can make the finish with average luck in the run. LITTLEBIRDIE (13) resumed here in stronger on a heavy track and it was a decent effort. She'd switched stables and note she won her only second-up outing. She should enjoy a soft run and also has claims. DECERANAKYE (4) needs a good ride, but he will be fitter for his initial outing for the new barn. Showed enough ability early doors to consider. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Lavender Glory. |
