CMF RURAL Maiden Handicap 1000m
Plenty of pace with Woken Broke and La Suerte leading from Party Island. The maidens kick us off. PARTY ISLAND (2) has been thereabouts in all three runs since joining the new stable and strikes a very winnable contest here. Will be ready to peak third-up from the spell and Semmens has placed two from two in the saddle. Rates the testing material. RUN FREDA RUN (7) resumes here but the form she showed when last in work was good enough for a race of this nature. Expect a bold showing while fresh. LA SUERTE (8) is unlucky to still be a maiden finishing runner-up at her past couple and gets some weight relief from the inside alley. Ticks a few boxes. TWIN ISLAND (6) has been plying her trade in sterner contests and will appreciate the drop back in company here. In the mix. SMART COLOUR (9) rounds out the selections. SUGGESTED PLAY: Party Island to break through. |

FAT MAN SMALL MOTORS RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1615m
Solid tempo anticipated with Shy Rebel leading the way. Former NSW galloper FLYBALL (6) just missed the placings when well in the market as his first local run and where there's smoke there's fire. Will find this easier than what he faced down south and seems to be very well placed here. Rates the testing material against this lot. ICONIC PRINCE (3) has hit the frame at his past three starts and looks to be on the doorstep of another victory. Looms as the main danger. SHY REBEL (4) goes well for hoop Chambers who has a win and a second from just two steers. Top-three aspirations. The well-related BOSTON OF TUFFY (1) (half to Listed winner Alison Of Tuffy) gets 2kg off with the claim and may earn some minor money. ROY'S ROAD (5) next in line. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 6,3,4,1. |

CORNERSTONE RISK GROUP OPEN Handicap 1615m
The pace looks very strong with plenty of speed engaged. TRICKY BEANS (2) has hit a purple patch of form of late with a win and three placings from his past four outings. Has won over this course and distance and gets 2kg weight relief with the claim. Has the ability to mix it with them. DULCET (3) got a well-deserved victory at Thangool last time out and will have derived a stack of confidence from that win. Should prove hard to stop. GENERAL WOLFFE (8) doesn't win out of turn but has remarkably hit the top-five in 21 of his past 22 starts and is a must for the multiples. BRANDS (6) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be forgotten. FOR VALOUR (1) next in line with Butler in the irons. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Tricky Beans. |

FARM & CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS Class 6 Plate 1000m
Expecting a genuine tempo. JUST SUPER (2) loves this sprint trip with three wins and three placings from just eight attempts and has a very handy first-up record. Best figures put him right in the finish while fresh. PALAZZO SPIRIT (3) hails from a handy family (half to Listed winner and G3 placed Catoggio) and gets the benefit of Orr's 2kg claim. Can improve sharply on that latest failure. FINE SHOT (1) got the job done around this circuit at the latest outing and winning rider Semmens sticks in the saddle. Include from the inside marble. GROWL (7) has placed two from two at this track and doesn't know how to run a bad race. One for the exotics players. PRETTY SLICK (9) saves her best form for this distance range and may trouble the judge with any luck in running. SUGGESTED PLAY: Just Super to return a winner. |

AB POWER Class 1 Handicap 1200m
Presszora to take charge ahead of Hi Frank at a solid tempo. The well-related PRESSZORA (5) (half to G2 winner Amor Victorious) couldn't have been more impressive saluting by over four lengths at Mackay on debut and looks the runner in this field with the most upside. Can go right on with the job now. HI FRANK (8) has been right there in all three runs this time in and will be ready to peak now fourth-up from the break. Should take some running down. PEACEFUL PRINCE (1) is first-up for the new barn but will find this easier than recent south QLD efforts. Respect any market confidence. DEN END (7) draws the inside alley and may make his presence felt. BAILE FERVOR (2) next in line with Missen on top. SUGGESTED PLAY: Presszora to go back-to-back to start the career. |

MARABOON TAVERN BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1000m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Immortal Lass. TOO MANY KISSES (8) recorded a gutsy maiden win at Cairns last time out and will have taken a bunch of confidence from that breakthrough victory. Gets in well at the weights with the 3kg claim and maps ideally from gate two. Looks the one to beat. DISCOVERED GOLD (2) is a consistent conveyance who has only missed a drum once in eight career starts and that was a close-up fourth at Rockhampton before the spell. Has to be included in calculations. IMPERIONESS (5) is one from one over this sprint journey and is another to get some weight off. Top-three candidate on best form. RUBY SEVENS (12) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be underestimated. The well-related WARHOL (6) (full to G2 winner Strasbourg) next in line. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 8,2,5,12. |

FAIRBAIRN BAKERY Class 4 Plate 1280m
Martini Moment should lead at a keen tempo.
DARK GLEAM (2) has put back-to-back wins together and is racing with a lot of confidence of late. No reason why he cannot bring up the hat-trick against this line-up. ACEDROD (1) has grown a leg since joining the new stable with two wins and a second from just three starts. Can continue the rich vein of form. ODEGAARD (9) is another racing at his peak and should get a gun run in transit from gate two. Cannot be ignored. CANNY BE BETTER (6) was a touch disappointing last time out but the form prior was full of merit. Worth another chance. ALL ENGLAND (4) best of the rest despite the sticky draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 2,1,9,6. |
