NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:30 WELCOME TO NELSON MANDELA BAY OPEN MAIDEN 1400m
JET QUERARI (1) is better than his last start rum on the Turffontein Inside course as he was reported to be not striding out. His form prior to that outing was decent. He is having his first run for Gavin Smith and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he may find himself in the winner's enclosure. BANDMASTER (2) has decent recent form lines. He steps back up to 1400m and the blinkers have been removed. With a bit of luck in the running he should be right there at the finish. CLIFFIE CLAVIN (4) has drawn pole position and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should be competitive. AM STILL WINNING (7) stayed on well when third over 1300m on this course last time. The booking of Richard Fourie is a big plus and she should prove hard to roll.
2 01:05 RACING TODAY MR 78 HANDICAP 1600m
WINTER EMERALDS (5) was his own worst enemy over 1400m on the turf last time as he over raced in the early stages. He won his only orevious attempt on this course. He meets a small field and if Richard Fourie is able to switch him off early, he can return to winning form. BLACKBERRY BREEZE (6) ran a good race when fourth over this distance on the turf last time. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. ARLU (3) is better than his last start run over 1400m on the turf would suggest. He has won once and finished third twice from as many starts on this course. On best form shown, he should be fighting out the finish. DYNALLEY (2) has fair recent form lines to his name. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this course and distance. He will be staying on well at the finish.
3 01:40 TAB TELEBET 0861000822 MIDDLE STAKES 1200m
BAIE MOOI (3) is unbeaten from two starts over this course and distance. She quickened up well to win her post maiden effort. She returns from a 19-week spell during which time she would have strengthened up. She jumps from pole position and if not in need of the run, she should keep her unbeaten record intact. IMAGINABLE (1) is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle and the pair merit healthy respect. TINTAMARRE (2) showed a good turn of foot to win his last start over this course and distance. Calvin Habib retains the ride and he should be involved in the finish. TRAVEL MASTER (5) is the stable companion of the top selection. He showed speed on the turf last time and tried hard all the way to the line. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from six starts over this course and distance. He will strip much fitter and can place.
4 02:15 RACING240 MR 90 HANDICAP 1000m
GOLDEN PAVILION (4) has top consistent form lines to his credit. He tried hard when third last time out in what was his second run this prep after having won his penultimate outing over this course and distance. Looks well placed to record his sixth-career victory. SYMBOL OF LOVE (2) stayed on strongly when second over this course and distance last time. She has won twice, finished second once and third four times from nine starts over this course and distance. She will be mowing down the frontrunners at the finish. DUBAI HILLS (1) was far from disgraced when finishing fifth of seven last start over 1200m at this track. That followed a win at Fairview over 1200m the start prior. Has each-way claims. KINGS AGAIN (6) finished third last time over 1000m at this track. Id yet to miss the top three in two runs at this distance and is in the mix.
5 02:50 FAIRVIEW WISHES YOU A WONDERFUL HERITAGE DAY FM 74 HANDICAP 1400m
AUGUSTA ROSSO (8) is better than her last start run would suggest. She ran a good race when second in her penultimate outing over 1200m on the turf. If jumping on terms, she can return to winning form. ALEX MILLER (5) took the lead at the 300m mark last time before getting outrun late. She won here two runs back over 1300m as the favourite and is a leading chance. JAMBO SANA (2) ran on strongly when second over this course and distance last time. She has drawn position and will be mowing down the frontrunners once again. GINGER DELIGHT (1) hasn't made an impression lately despite getting market support. Last start could only manage seventh over 1800m at Greyville. In this lone-up is worth another chance.
6 03:25 PLAY SOCCER 6, 10 AND 13 FM 89 HANDICAP 1400m
EXQUISITE (4) should have finished closer to the winner last start as she hung inwards in the straight. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. If keeping on a straight line, she should be right there at the finish. ARABIAN RED (5) set the pace over this course and distance last time and held on well to score by a nose. She is in a good space and she must be considered. UNCONQUERABLE LADY (1) did little and finished fifth of six over 1000m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than her fourth at this track the run before. Looks well placed here to return to form. STATE SECRET (3) was in the money two starts back at this track but failed to fire last start when finishing sixth at this track over 1600m. Likely improver with place claims.
7 04:00 #YOUCANBETONUS! MR 80 HANDICAP 2000m
GEORGE HANDEL (1) is a winner of his last two starts over this distance on the turf. The 4kg claiming apprentice Girish Dookhit retains the ride and he can bring up the hat-trick. RED WILLIAM (3) was an easy winner of his last start over 1600m on the turf. He has won once and finished second twice from four starts over this distance. The booking of Richard Fourie is a big plus and the combination merit healthy respect. ALADO'S PRIDE (5) was an easy winner of his last start over 1600m on the turf. With a bit of luck in the running he should be fighting out the finish. MAKHACHEV (2) has recorded three placings from seven runs this prep and is expected to be in the mix.
8 04:35 NEXT FAIRVIEW RACEMEETING FRIDAY 26 SEPTEMBER MR 68 HANDICAP 2000m
TAKE YOUR TIME (8) has drawn pole position and the 4kg claiming apprentice Girish Dookhit is booked to ride. She looks well placed to be rewarded for consistency. SPOIL YOURSELF (4) produced a strong finish when winning her last start over 1900m on this course. She is in a good space and with Chad Little retaining the ride can follow up with another victory. OLIVE OYL (7) won a good race when shedding her maiden tag over 1600m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She takes on stronger rivals but is in a good space and should give a good account of herself. RICHARDTHEFEARLESS (6) finished seventh last start at Scottsville over 1750m. Will enjoy a drop in class and is well worth considering.
