1 01:25 YARRAMAN PARK COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN HANDICAP 1300m
Hot Chestnut is expected to lead at a keen tempo. DREYMON (8) racing well on the provincial circuit and gets his chance on the backup. Powered late from the outside gate when an eye catching fifth over 1250m at Newcastle on August 26. Near his top and Stanley sticks. THE CONTRACTOR (1) improving gelding who gets a much better run today and will appreciate Zoe Hunt's claim. Had to work hard early from the sticky gate when a plugging fifth over 1300m at Dubbo. Blinkers come off and a win looks imminent. PINOT NERO (11) encouraging return when he chipped away late to run fifth over 1280m at Muswellbrook. Maps well in a fairly thin maiden. TORANAGA (4) Maurice gelding out of Fifteen Aria on debut for Howlett yard. Finished second in her lone Scone trial over 900m on August 13. Worth plenty of thought.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Dreymon and The Contractor to fight it out.
2 02:05 VINERY STUD COUNTRY BOOSTED CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400m
Genuine tempo with On The Quiet leading the way. SMART BUY (2) improving mare who had the dream run from the low draw third up, when a commanding maiden winner over 1300m here. Confidence is high and can keep improving as she gets out in trip. Goes close. OUR EMILY (8) peaked on the run second up when a solid fourth over 1206m at Bathurst. Key jockey change today and looking for this trip now. Respect. EMPRESS TSARINA (1) heavily supported late when he shed his maiden status over 1250m here by a big space. Buckley sticks and gives every indication of running the 1400m out. MAJOR LIGHTNING (3) kept fresh after smashing inferior opposition as fav by 3.5 lens over 1400m at Warren. Trained on the track and place prospects look best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,8,1,3.
3 02:40 MITTY'S CG&E MAIDEN PLATE 1100m
Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a keen tempo. Solid race with some nice types on debut or resuming. AUTUMN KING (6) well related colt by The Autumn Sun from Time Check on debut for the Messara & Gavranich yard. Has impressed in both trials wins at this track and expected to be very competitive from the draw. INIESTA (10) started hard in the market on debut, when he raced keenly in the early and middle stages on the heavy track before fading to run sixth over 1150m at Randwick Kensington. Sharp improver on the firmer surface. THE WARRIOR (5) thereabouts at his last three outings and the blinkers come off on the quick backup. Stuck on gamely in the heavy (10) going when a respectable fourth over 900m at Newcastle. Expecting a better effort over this trip. SIR HERRIDAH (4) Tassort gelding from a Nicconi mare on debut for the Scott Singleton yard. Fitted with the two trials and no shock to see him figure in the minor money.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Autumn King goes close on debut.
4 03:20 COLOURWORKS F&M MAIDEN PLATE 1100m
A race that lacks early pressure. YVETTE (5) frustrating mare who gets one more chance in this weaker contest. Desperate for the firmer surface and extra trip after disappointing when last in the heavy going over 900m at Newcastle. Has a fitness edge over these in a very average maiden. ANOTHERBADDECISION (6) raced a little greenly on debut before knuckling down late to run third over 900m at this track. Open to further improvement and gets the right run again. Hard to stop over this trip. MISS FLEETWOOD (8) happy to overlook her poor return from the wide gate when eighth to Balmain Darling over 900m at Newcastle. Stalks the speed and has genuine winning claims. NEPO BABY (9) Lucky Vega filly from Future Force on debut for the Archibald stable. Has the three trials in readiness for this and gets in light with the claim. Worthy contender.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 5,6,8,9.
5 03:55 SCONE RSL BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1000m
Social Circle should find the front with Quick Onyx and Sunday Bell on her heels. SOCIAL CIRCLE (9) exciting Maurice filly resuming. Smashed the clock on debut when leading throughout as fav for a commanding victory over 1000m at Quirindi last February. Fitted with the two trials in readiness for this and has the speed to overcome the wide gate. Expected to go on with it this preparation. EDGE OF MIDNIGHT (5) further improved third up and a win looks imminent. Shuffled back from the inside gate and warmed up late when fourth over 1000m at Tamworth. Placed here and will be closing late. QUICK SHARP (7) resumes with solid first up credentials. Jumped in grade when ninth in the John Clift over 1000m at Tamworth on April 24. Given the one trial and capable of rolling forward. STIORRA (12) no match for the progressive Shirvington on resumption when fifth over 1100m at Wyong in BM64 class. Minor place contender.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Social Circle to remain undefeated.
6 04:35 SELECT EVENTS BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 1600m
Solid tempo with Another Peach leading from Bonnie And Bruce and Mon Amore. DALE (1) starting to hit his straps after holding off his rivals with the 60kg when a gritty head win over 1500m at Muswellbrook. Has further upside and leading apprentice booked. RELEASE POINT (9) showed a nice turn of foot on resumption when surging late for a comfortable win over 1400m at Tamworth in easier grade. Back in good order and shapes as the main danger. BUSH TELEGRAPH (4) returns from a let up after struggling to run the 2000m out when a poor ninth at Mudgee in the heavy going. Best form is over the mile, and the nose roll comes off. Stays in the mix. SWEET BUBBLES (11) sharp improver second up when jumping in trip for an eye catching second over 1700m at this track. Drops in weight and must be kept safe in this tougher contest.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Dale to assert his class.
7 05:10 INGLIS CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1200m
Ensign Parker and Hibiki Harmony possess good early speed. Tough race to end the day. GIRRAWHEEN (11) strengthened up over the break and racing in career best form. Closed well from an awkward gate when a respectable fourth over 1200m at Tamworth. A repeat of that effort from the good gate will see her take stopping. HIBIKI HARMONY (12) smart fresh mare who returns from a let up after fading late when fourth in the Grafton Guineas over 1600m on July 16. In leading local yard and should be prominent from the low draw. WHERE'STHEPROFIT (9) returned fast closing splits over the 1000m when a narrow fourth as fav at this track. Undefeated second up and expected to go close. SUPAIRO (18) attacked the line strongly on resumption when third over 1200m at Tamworth in this grade. Has solid second up figures and the cross over nose band goes on. Can get across from the draw. Each way.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Girrawheen in a strong contest.
