NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:10 SOUTH COAST RETREAT COUNTRY BOOSTED CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1400m
Small field but a good tempo is expected with Hope And Glory, Write Your Own and A Book Of Days pressing on. Good race to kick things off. RECKLESS BEHAVIOUR (6) was an impressive maiden winner at Wagga last time, putting them away with authority. Lightly raced and open to further improvement, he shapes as a key player again. CARAVANSERAI (7) delivered comfortably at Bathurst when breaking through and with James Innes Jnr sticking, looks capable of going right on with it now. WRITE YOUR OWN (3) has been solid in his two runs back without breaking through. Peaking now and is drawn favourably. Don't underestimate. HOPE AND GLORY (5) has been hit and miss this campaign but his peaks measure up. First time stepping out to this trip. Keeping safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Slight lean to Reckless Behaviour.
2 01:45 KEL CAMPBELL FUEL HAULAGE COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE 1100m
Pace only fair with Airfield rolling to the lead ahead of Kool Kade and Mary Le Bone. CIAO BELLA MIA (4) resumes and tackles a sprint trip for the first time. Hasn’t managed to break through yet but her best ratings measure up well in this company. Two trials should have her ready to fire fresh and she looks set for a bold return. CLASSIC TOUCH (8) debuts for the Scott Collings yard and showed ability with a recent trial placing at Goulburn. Can make an impact first-up, especially if the money comes. AIRFIELD (6) fought on strongly when beaten a head into third at Moruya last start. On the up and well placed to be a genuine contender. MARY LE BONE (2) stuck on gamely when runner-up at Goulburn and can again feature in the finish with a repeat of that effort. KOOL KADE (7) was much better last time at Moruya when sticking on gamely into fourth. Still figuring it out but worth keeping safe in wider exotics.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ciao Bella Mia to win.
3 02:25 SOLOMON MOTOR GROUP CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200m
Boom In The Dark should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. JACKPOT STAR (4) showed sharp early speed last time and boxed on strongly when runner-up at Goulburn. Will be nearing peak fitness third-up off two good efforts since a spell and looks primed to strike. MOLTEUNO (8) comes off a stylish maiden success at Goulburn. Still learning but has clear upside and with Guymer staying in the saddle she shapes as a serious contender. ARTIFACTX (2) resumes after five months and has shown he can run well fresh, placing first-up last prep at Orange. Found the line nicely in recent trial. Can make his presence felt. NINGALOO REEF (1) is capable of a much stronger showing second-up. Keeping safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Jackpot Star to win.
4 03:05 THE COUNTRY CLUB ST GEORGES BASIN BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1600m
Moderate tempo expected with Sapphires Son likely to find the front over Heron and Tillman. HERON (3) has been much better in her last two, most recently finishing a game second over this trip at Newcastle. Easier this time and she's building strongly. Should be right in the thick of things again. IT IS TO BE (5) is been knocking on the door. Strips fitter on the short turnaround and is sure to be making his presence felt late in the piece. Shapes as the testing material. DRUNKEN SAILOR (1) got too far back last start at Bathurst but picked up strongly in the lane to finish midfield. Was only beaten narrowly over this journey two back at Goulburn when well supported. Back in trip suits and he’s a key player. SAPPHIRES SON (6) found it too tough in stronger company last start and is better placed here, with peaks that measure up. Worth including. JALMARI (10) hasn't won for a long time but could sneak into the frame if they pour it on for him early.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Heron to win.
5 03:40 LIGHTHOUSE PLUMBING BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 1100m
It's likely to be tactical given scant early speed. SUMO STAR (2) also resumes and has shown he can fire fresh, having scored over this trip at Hawkesbury first-up last prep. Love the way he hit the line in his Warwick Farm trial. Big threat fresh. SCULPTOR (8) bounced back last time when running on nicely into fourth at Goulburn. Strips fitter again and can figure prominently. KING CHARLES (3) was below his best at Randwick last start but had put two tough wins together prior. Easier task this time and he’s right in the mix. ZIPITALIST (4) resumes off some good efforts last time in. Proven fresh and won his lone try at the distance so should go well.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Sumo Star.
6 04:15 COUNTRY MOTOR COMPANY MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400m
Angel City has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. ANGEL CITY (9) has shown good tactical speed to date, only finding one better on both occasions. Fitter again and should be able to offset the wide draw quickly. Will take some catching. BANK HEIST (1) resumes after more than a year off but showed ability prior to the break and has trialled well in the lead-up. From a leading stable and is an obvious inclusion. VIN SANTO (3) showed early speed before tiring at Kembla Grange last start. Peaking now and can give a bold sight. PREFER DIAMONDS (10) stuck on soundly into a midfield finish when resuming at Newcastle. Better for the hit-out but will just need some luck from the wide draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Angel City to win.
7 04:55 STROUD HOMES MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a keen tempo. NAFANUA (9) is Tagaloa filly on debut for the smart Bjorn Baker stable. Has looked sharp in her lead-up work and is drawn to get all the favours. Bright start anticipated. King's Legacy filly WILD LEGACY (14) is another debutante and she looks to have upside. Trialled quietly but is from a stable that can get them ready first-up. Genuine top-three chance so must be kept safe. OUTCAST ALLY (10) produced a solid return effort to place at Goulburn and strips fitter for that hitout. In the mix with further progress likely. KNIGHT OF RHODES (5) was close up in the latest trial so is another debutant to monitor in the betting.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Nafanua to win on debut.
