NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:34 Ladbrokes Same Race Multi Maiden Handicap 1200m
Strong early tempo with Private Curwen and Oscar Booie leading the way. CHARM TELLER (9) is unlucky to still be a maiden placing at her past four starts and strikes a very winnable contest here. Strips fitter second-up and Cormack sticks in the irons following that first-up placing. Rates the testing material. COMBAT CRUSADER (1) returns from a lengthy spell but put in a career-best performance before the break and has tuned up for this with a recent trial. Top-hope if back in good order. SPRING'S GIFT (10) has had a few chances but has placed four of six over this track and trip and must be included in calculations. NATIONAL GOAL (4) is having his first run for the new stable and any market support must be noted. ARIK LAD (11) best of the rest from the inside alley.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Charm Teller each-way.
2 02:12 Hygain Trainer of the Year Stephen Massingham BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1609m
Mission House, Convertor and You Are King can set the pace. KIRIKAN (1) doesn't win out of turn but has hit the top-five in 14 of his past 15 outings and is usually thereabouts. Has hit the frame in all three starts since joining the Massingham barn from the Waller stable and Wiggins has been in the irons for all three of those efforts. Can finally get a well-deserved victory. MISSION HOUSE (2) has only missed a drum once in seven spins over this mile journey and rarely puts in a poor one. Looms as the main danger from the low draw. SAND 'N' POWER (6) will be ready to peak now fourth run in and rates a genuine top-three candidate on best form. AL RAS BLUES (7) gets in well at the weights with the 2kg claim and may make her presence felt. The well-related STORE BEACH (9) (half to G1 winner Captivant) best of the rest on the back of a close-up second here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Kirikan.
3 02:47 Great Northern Brewing Co QTIS Three-Year-Old and Four-Year-Old Handicap 1000m
In a small field either Foneeleven or Krackacan will find the front.  This could turn out to be a decent form race. KRACKACAN (3) hasn't done much wrong with two wins and three seconds from five starts to date with both those victories coming over this sprint journey. Likely to push forward and should give this a mighty shake. OUR EAGLE ROCK (2) grows a leg for hoop Olzard who has three wins and two placings from just six steers and again gets the benefit of her 3kg claim. Another bold showing is expected. TIME TO PROPHET (1) goes well over this course and distance with three wins and two placings from seven attempts. Is better than the past couple suggest and has definite top-three aspirations on best form. VEGAMEISTER (6) gets in light with the claim and shouldn't be underestimated. WHATTA MISSION (7) next in line from the inside alley.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Quinella 3,2,1.
4 03:27 Ryan Wiggins Jockey of the Year BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1000m
Genuine tempo with Remember Roy to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. STATESWOMAN (7) has a handy record here on her home circuit placing in three of four outings and is much better than the past couple of efforts suggest. Has been well in the betting of late and where there's smoke there's fire. Watch for a much positive performance. CRAICARO (6) resumes here but the form she showed when last in work was good enough for a race of this calibre. Can run a big race while fresh. MR POLAR (3) strips fitter second-up from the spell and gets the services of Wiggins on board from the inside marble. He'll be keen to win this race named in his honour and ticks plenty of boxes. SPIRIT OF GIVING (1) has had a bit of a freshen up since the last outing and may improve enough to earn some minor money. LULO ROSE (4) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept on.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 7,6,3,1.
5 04:04 Tambo's Justice Horse of the Year OPEN Handicap 1200m
Under The Limit and Dragon's Snip possess good early speed. NORTHERN PRIDE (2) has been just behind the placegetters in much harder contests of late and will appreciate the drop back in company here. Is a four-time winner around this circuit and is drawn to get a cosy run in transit from gate two. Looks the one they all have to run down. VALENKI (5) goes well for rider Murphy who has three wins and four placings from ten rides and is racing with a lot of confidence of late. Right in this contest. UNDER THE LIMIT (7) has a solid record over this six-furlong journey with three wins and four placings from 11 outings. Top-three prospects despite the draw. DRAGON'S SNIP (8) gets in light with the claim and may trouble the judge with any luck in running. GO GETABOY (1) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be underestimated.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Northern Pride.
6 04:42 Ladbroke It! Class 3 Handicap 1200m
Expecting Novela to take up the lead at a genuine tempo.  DARK GLEAM (1) saves his best form for this distance range with three wins and three placings from just six attempts and will be high on confidence following a dominant last-start victory, albeit in lesser company. Should be right there when the whips are cracking. HEAD HONCHO (2) has only missed the top-two once in four attempts over this track and trip and gets Wiggins on top from the favourable draw. Definite winning prospects. Former SA galloper NOVELA (4) was too bad to be true in his first run for the new stable but the form he showed down south was good enough for a race like this. Worth another chance. LET'S RIDE (11) is a two-time winner here who may earn some minor money. CANDLELIT (3) rounds out the selections in a race with a long tail.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 1,2,4,11.
7 05:17 Gabrielle Semmens Apprentice Jockey of the Year RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1400m
Genuine tempo with Vancouver Bay leading the way. BUBBLES'N'FROTH (4) absolutely smashed them by four lengths at Bowen last time out and will have derived a stack of confidence from that dominant showing. This is a bit harder but Whiteley sticks and another strong run would not shock. INNOVATES (7) has been right there in all four starts since joining the new stable and will be cherry-ripe for this. Only needs some luck navigating from the sticky draw to be playing a role in the finish. PURPOSE 'N' VISION (8) was a touch plain at the latest effort but the form prior was full of merit. Can bounce right back in this contest. KEEP ON RUNNING (1) has won over this course and distance and is better than the last run suggests. In the mix if he brings his A-game.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Bubbles'n'froth to go back-to-back.
