BOM DIA (10) is on a nine-day back-up after finishing in the money over 1400m at this track. Must contend with a wide draw but is expected to go well again. POMPON DAHLIA (5) finished out of the money when seventh over 1400m at this track eight days ago. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. THUMBS UP (8) last start finished eighth over 1400m at this track after he was well back on straightening. Look for an improved run here.

MEISHO HAKOBUNE (2) kept coming only to just miss last start over 1400m at this track. Placed to advantage so expect another forward showing. PRIME BLUE (5) resumes today after filling a minor placing at his last appearance at Monbetsu over 1200m on September 10. Now under the care of new trainer Koji Sakurada. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. YAMASHO SHINE (6) finished fifth at her last appearance over 1400m at this track on November 19. Solid top-three chance on her best figures. B MOVIE (3) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 1.1 lengths over 1400m at this track. Can figure in the finish.

HASENO BEAVER (8) has been racing well this prep, scoring last start over 1300m at this track to make it two wins from three runs this time in. Ryoto Tsukamoto who has two wins when partnering stays on. Among the leading chances. YOZORANO CHIKAI (3) did well to score at Morioka Dirt two runs ago then was not disgraced last time out when second over 1400m at this track, only beaten 0.8 lengths. Sure to go well again. VILA ISABEL (5) was prominent from the outset and fought on well for third last start over 1400m at this track, making it two minor placings in a row. Has good early pace. Strong prospects. FLIESSEND (9) had been racing well before she was safely held last time out when eighth over 1400m at this track. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Don't underestimate.

KURINO BRISE (9) proved too strong last start and scored by one length over 850m at this track. Has three wins here. Should be poised just off the lead. Will give a great sight. GARDEN ISLE (5) showed early speed from an outside draw last start and raced on the pace before boxing on well to finish third over 850m at this track. Ideally placed and could prove tough to beat. LILY CORRER (4) turned in a fine effort to score by 1.75 lengths at today's track and distance last start in a far better run. Capable of taking this out. CHIHAYABURU RUN (6) made progress last time out, finishing second at the end of 850m at this track. No surprise to see her in the mix.

LUSOFONIA (7) made progress last start to finish second over 1300m at this track. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she deserves plenty of thought. KURINO IOLITE (3) registered a strong win at Morioka Dirt two runs ago then last time out finished third over 1400m at this track, only beaten 0.9 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. BAIAME (5) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 6 lengths over 1200m at Morioka Dirt. Winning rider Makoto Otsubo sticks and he is worth including. FUKU KEELUNG (1) had been racing well with two consecutive placings before last start managing only fourth over 1400m at this track. Should park just off the speed. One of the better hopes.

CORAZON (4) recorded a strong maiden win over 1200m at Morioka Dirt last time, getting there by 6 lengths. Shaping up nicely and another bold showing is expected. LIZ (3) changes rider since being well held last time in ninth over 1400m at Morioka Dirt on November 5. Well placed to make amends. MINATO MINAITO (7) was in contention on the bend and finished second last start over 1400m at this track, only beaten a nose. Ready to go one better. TAUPE (8) scored his maiden win last time out at this track and is looking suited for another good run.

S KUMA (6) is unbeaten this campaign, the latest win coming over 1400m at Morioka Dirt when he got home by half a length. Has a solid record at the third run in so he is sure to feature in the finish. GOTTO GO GO (3) gave away a start then stormed home to win over 1400m at this track last time out. Winning rider Yuichi Sakaguchi stays aboard. Sure to run well. KIRAMEKI (1) finished second over 1400m at this track last time out after a gutsy win two runs back. One of the leading hopes. MIYAKO PLAISIR (7) settled well back but hit the line well to finish fifth over 1600m here last time. One to watch for in the closing stages.

COMBAT GRANDE (7) strips fitter after two runs this campaign. Finished second last start over 850m at this track, an improvement in the first-up performance. Sure to be a major player. CAMARADE MARIE (9) ran well last start when third at this track over 850m. Appeals as a leading player. VIGRIOR (5) did little and finished seventh over 850m at this track last start. Looks a strong place hope. SUTEKINA KOKORO (2) was out of the money last start over 850m at this track, finishing fifth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.

AVENTURISTO (2) has strung together a couple of wins at this course, the latest on November 19 over 850m when he scored by half a length. Winning rider Shinobu Murakami retains the mount. Likely to be in the finish again. UP TEMPEST (6) built on a nice third two starts back at Morioka Dirt with a win over 1000m at Morioka Dirt four weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. KATANA (1) is racing with great purpose and has three wins on end, most recently getting the prize by 1.5 lengths over 850m at this track. This is his optimum trip with five wins from 10 starts and should be involved in the finish. SANEI VICTOR (9) finished tenth over 850m at this track last time out following a determined win two back. Can bounce back to winning form.

RISING SUMMIT (9) missed the frame as favourite last time over 1600m at Morioka Dirt after he had won three races on end. Toshiya Yamamoto who has scored on him three times retains the mount. Can bounce back. PRINCESS KNIGHT (1) is going very well this time in with three wins from eight attempts. Won two starts back at Morioka Dirt and went close again last time out. Has the speed to be prominent. Expecting a bold showing. ENERGY FORTE (2) went to the lead from the low draw last time out and was still there on straightening, eventually finishing third over 1600m at Morioka Dirt. One of the main contenders. YAMANIN SOWELU (6) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 1600m at this track. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out.

FINAL MUZZLE (3) performed well last time at this track, finishing third and only a neck from the winner at the end of 1600m. Finds a suitable race and can find the winner's circle. NATURE MIYABI (1) lines up on the back of a 0.6 lengths fourth over 1600m at this track. Has a decent record at this venue with a win and four minor placings from 11 starts. Among the top chances. MARUKEI ARROW (6) made progress last time out, finishing second at the end of 1600m at this track. Looks well placed so expect another big run. ROUGH CUT JEWEL (9) was below her best last time when tenth over 1600m at this track. Anticipating a better run this time.

STRONG BLACK (12) was quickly into stride and went on to score by one length last time out over 1400m at this track. Will be handy in transit despite the tricky draw. Major player. FEB SANKARA (3) turned in a fine effort to win by 6 lengths at this course and distance last start in a much-improved run. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot repeat the dose. HOLY BASIL (11) is knocking on the door after just missing last time over 1600m at this track. Well placed and should be in the finish again. ANNAPURNA (1) ran a bold race over this journey when resuming last start, racing on the pace and sticking on strongly to finish third at this track. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping.
