1 12:20 Hollywoodbets WORK RIDERS' SERIES LEG 2 MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
ELSINORE (4) in his second start made the expected natural improvement when finishing second of eight over this distance at Durbanville last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was eye-catching. He is a progressive type and jumping from a good draw of four with Louis Burke in the saddle should go one place better. FENCING CAPTAIN (8) has placed in four of his last four starts and has since been gelded. Finished sixth of 13 over today's course and distance last start as the favourite and deserves another chance. MRS SHACKLETON (2) finished a bold second of 10 over today's course and distance last start against winners and back in maiden grade jumping from an inside gate rates highly. FLYPAST (6) is an unraced daughter of Trippi from the Justin Snaith stable with Siphiwo Feni in the saddle. If not too green she should be ready to fire. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
2 12:55 CAPE TURF CLUB SYNDICATES CAPE D STAKES 1100m
ROUGAROUIN (7) returned to form last start over 1200m on this course when finishing third of 12. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. Aldo Domeyer retains the ride and if confirming his recent improvement he can notch up his second-career victory. ELECTRIC FEELS (4) is racing in good form. She was running on well when third of 10 over 1000m on this course last time. Jumping from a good draw rates well as a leading chance. XPLICIT CONTENT (2) finished a close-up fourth of 10 at this track over 1000m last start. Jumps from an inside gate and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle rates well as an each-way chance. LOVERS LANE (3) finished a game second two starts back but then failed to fire last time out when finishing seventh of 10 over today's course and distance when well supported. Worth another chance in this line-up.
3 01:30 DARE 2 DREAM SYNDICATE MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
ALEX MILLER (4) stayed on well when finishing third of 12 over this course and distance last time when sent out at long odds. She should have finished closer to the winner that day as she hung over the closing stages. She is a progressive type and Aldo Domeyer may be able to get that little bit extra out of her when it matters most. WHITE WATERS (3) battled on well when finishing third of 12 over 1600m on this course last time out. She should appreciate dropping back inn distance and is one of the leading contenders. TAP SHOES (8) is better than her last start run for seventh over this distance at Durbanville as the favourite would suggest. Her debut effort when third over 1250m was encouraging. With Richard Fourie in the saddle is worth another chance. SPINMYANGELSSPIN (1) disappointed last start over 1200m when only finishing eighth of 13 when well fancied. Jumping from the inside gate and over a longer trip can place. Include in exotic bets.
4 02:05 SOCIAL SQUAD MAIDEN PLATE 1600m
AFRIQUE (2) showed good improvement when finishing second of 13 in his last start over this distance at Durbanville. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He jumps from a good draw of two and if suited to this course he should be going one place better. NATIVE RULER (7) has finished second in his last two starts, including last time out over 1200m at this track when well supported. He should relish the extra 400m on offer and should be fighting out the finish. GRAN CANARIA (11) produced a promising debut effort over 1250m at Durbanville last start when finishing a close-up fourth of eight. He would have gained from the experience and with luck in running after jumping from a wide gate can finish in the money. RED DAWN (1) gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand. From pole position he can improve on a last start fifth of 14 over 1600m at this track when sent out at long odds.
5 02:45 RaceCape Powered by Hollywoodbets CLASS 5 1800m
TOTHEMOONANDBACK (5) has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He stayed on well when second of 11 over 1950m on this course last time out when sent out at long odds. He drops in class and Grant van Niekerk may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him when it matters most. OZARK (1) won a game race in his last start over 1600m on this course. Richard Fourie retains the ride and from pole position he can go back-to-back. STATE CAPITOL (8) after placing second two starts back was well supported last time out but could only manage to finish seventh of 11 over 1600m at this track. Has the speed to overcome a wide gate and in this line-up looks well placed to return to form. GNARLY (4) won at long odds over 1600m at Durbanville last start and although facing tougher rivals can place. Include in exotic bets.
6 03:18 CELEBRATING CENTURION MEMBER TERRY ANDREWS' BIRTHDAY CAPE D STAKES 1400m

DREAM SEARCHER (3) fought on well to finish third of 11 last start over 1600m at this track when sent out at long odds. Dropping back in distance and jumping from an inside gate she is well worth a second look. VERONIQUE (5) stayed on well when finishing third of 10 over 1200m at this track last time out when well supported. Racing over a longer trip and jumping from a handy draw she can return to winning form. NILE THE BOSS (6) ran a fair race when finishing fifth of nine over 1250m at Durbanville last time out. She won her maiden over this course and distance and should be finishing in the top-three.
7 03:55 CELEBRATING CENTURION MEMBER MARTIN WICKENS' BIRTHDAY CLASS 4 1400m
FAMILY POWER (9) has found a form in her last two starts, the latest of which was over this course and distance when finishing second of 11. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung over the final 300m. Grant van Niekerk retains the ride and with a bit of luck after jumping from her wide draw can go one better. SWIATEK (1) won by a head on debut at long odds over 1250m at Durbanville last start. She takes on stronger rivals today but jumping from the inside gate with Richard Fourie in the saddle can repeat the dose. LITTLE MISS PINK (8) stayed on well when finishing fourth of 12 over this distance last time when sent out at long odds. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. With luck in the running after jumping from a wide gate can return to form. JOU LEKKER DING (2) was out of the money two runs back, then again missed the frame last start over 1250m at Durbanville when finishing fourth of seven. In the mix.
8 04:30 PERFECTLY PLACED CAPE B STAKES 1000m
LUHAMBA PHAMBILI (3) showed good speed to race up on the pace and fought on strongly to the line to score over today's course and distance last start when well supported. Jumping form an inside gate he can repeat the dose. ICY BLAST (2) is better than his last start run for seventh of 10 over today's course and distance would suggest. He has won once and finished second twice from five starts over this course and distance. Having his third run this prep and having placed previously in that state has each-way claims. TENANGO (9) was an easy winner of his last start when well supported over 1100m on this course when resuming from a spell. He will strip a lot fitter and can go back-to-back. MOJO MAN (7) looked well in need of his two resuming runs. He has won three times and finished third twice from six starts over this course and distance. He has placed third-up previously and is a must include in combinations.
9 05:05 Hollywoodbets BRIGHT FUTURE CLASS 5 1200m
ROYAL LYTHAM (7) raced from just off the pace over this course and distance last time out but found one too good on the day. She has won twice, finished second once and third once from 10 starts over this course and distance. Aldo Domeyer retains the ride and in this field she can return to winning form. GRUE OF ICE (5) finished out of the money two runs back, then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at this track when finishing fourth of 10. Looks well placed in this line-up to return to form and is worth an each-way ticket. EASY MONEY (1) is better than her last start run for eighth of 13 over 1000m at this track would suggest as she was reported to be coughing. Jumping from the inside gate she can finish in the top-three. BECKY SHARP (3) resumes from a spell and jumping from an inside gate can surprise. Don't overlook her chances.
