CHRISTMAS RACEDAYS AT HRC 4YO&UP MAIDEN PLATE 1500m
Pace will be genuine with Highland Eightgee and Royalify locking horns. I AM WILD (9) improved at each run back this time in and gets the right race set up today out to the 1500m. Strong through the line late when second over 1400m here on November 7. Tempo suits and look for her charging late. HIGHLAND EIGHTGEE (2) trained on the track and the stable has tinkered with his gear today. Will appreciate the 3kg claim from the good draw and looks great each-way value. ROYALIFY (7) enigmatic four-year-old-gelding who improves sharply second up. Failed to sprint over this trip first up when eighth over 1100m here on November 7. Gets weight relief with the claim and look for a sharp form reversal over this distance. NORTH TERRACE (5) Adelaide gelding out of a Fastnet Rock mare on debut for the Anthony Cummings yard. Had the five trials and looks ready to go despite drawing out. SUGGESTED PLAY: I Am Wild to win. |

HRC MOTEL 4YO & UP MAIDEN HANDICAP 1100m
Strong early tempo assured from Indiamo and Bethsheba leading the way over Sir Tom. INDIAMO (4) Invader gelding who looks primed for a first-up victory after the five-month spell. Failed to handle the heavy conditions last time in and his two recent trials suggest he's come back in good order. Drawn to stalk the speed and gets his chance to get off the mark. BETHSHEBA (5) handy gelding due for a change of luck. Used up early from the wide gate when a tenacious long neck third over 1100m at this track on November 7. Will go forward again from the awkward draw and prove hard to run down. Value player. ROMAN SONG (9) returned to form after rocketing late when a sound head second over 1100m at this track on November 7. Fitter now and no shock to see her take this out. DEFYING (1) placed once in five starts and resumes from a four-month spell. Returns without a trial and worth noting his lone placing came on debut. Goes into the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Indiamo to win. |

BLAKES MARINE SUPER MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
Plenty of first starters engaged which makes for a tricky map. It is reasonable to assume a genuine tempo over this sprint course. SHALAA GOLD (8) classy gelding expected to get off the mark today at start four. Strong return when sitting on the good tempo for a fighting second over 1100m at Wyong on October 31. Strips fitter now and should prove too slick for these from the low draw. HOUDINI SPIRIT (4) Harry Angel gelding resuming after racing in stronger company last time in. Fitted with the one soft trial and the cross-over nose band goes on for this. Genuine top three contender. BLUE ILLUSION (2) showed good early dash from the sticky draw on resumption when a tiring second over 1000m at Kembla Grange on November 5. Further improved and look for him doing his best work late. BLANC DE NOIR (11) is a Capitalist filly out of a War Pass mare on debut for the Michael Freedman stable. Had the four trials in readiness for this and expected to be well-educated. Can play a leading role. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shalaa Gold to win. |

PIONEER SERVICES MIDWAY MAIDEN HANDICAP 1300m
Kazotsky to go to the lead at a genuine tempo. BLUE TONGUE (3) progressive Capitalist gelding resuming after showing potential in his two career runs last time in. Since fitted with the two trials and expected to figure prominently with the 3kg claim. DUCK EGG BLUE (11) attacked the line strongly in two runs back and a win looks imminent. Will need a Jason Collett special from the wide draw and the blinkers go on. Solid top three player. LULO LINK (12) even return over the 1200m when plugging late to secure fourth over 1200m at Kembla Grange on November 5. Gets map favours again and did finish to Swiftfalcon over 1400m at Rosehill last time in. Stays in the mix. KAZOTSKY (4) just under a month between runs when a tiring fifth over 1100m here on November 7. Drops in weight for this and not to be underestimated. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 3,11,12,4. |

XXXX GOLD CONDITIONAL BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1400m
Solid tempo anticipated with Irish Bliss heading them off. PIONEER LASS (2) classy mare who sprints well fresh and looks well in with the 3kg claim. Came to the end of her prep when seventh over 1600m here on March 28. Two recent trials have been sound and will relish the good tempo. FIDDLERS GREEN (3) returns from a layoff of six months and both wins have come over this track and trip. Given the two soft trials and worth plenty of thought with Fitzgerald's 3kg claim. Expected to be strong late. AMERICAN STARLET (6) nice type with the two wins from five starts. Returned good figures up on the pace first up when a tough winner over 1200m at Wyong on November 9. Deserves her chance in this tougher contest. IRISH BLISS (4) gave them a galloping lesson first up when a dominant 1.4 len winner over 1300m at Newcastle on November 2. Clearly come back well and will prove hard to run down again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,3,6,4. |

THE LAWN SHED CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400m
Strong early tempo with Shangri La Spring and The Patron Saint leading the way. SHANGRI LA SPRING (6) was taken to the front on resumption when a commanding maiden winner over 1200m at Kembla Grange on November 6. Bumps into some stronger types here and looks to have the talent to win again. OBSCURE (8) stretches out to this trip for the first time after surging late when an eye-catching second over 1200m at Wyong last time out. Tempo suits and can figure prominently. LADY SAVANNAH (10) improved with each run in her first prep and shed her maiden status when a tough winner over 1300m at Newcastle on November 2. Drops in weight and gets a similar setup again. Goes close. SUPERHERO (3) back in grade second-up when a fighting on pace winner over 1400m here on November 7. Cross-over nose band goes on and he looks to have upside. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shangri La Spring to win. |

LANDER TOYOTA 4YO&UP BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1600m
Without a great deal of early pace evident Montgomery may lead the way over More Mischief. WEMBANYAMA (2) is third up for this and kept fresh with a recent trial placing over 1000m here on October 28. Back to provincial grade today after bumping into the smart Bullets High when a narrow sixth over 1400m at Warwick Farm on October 16. Distance suits with the claim and the blinkers come off and the winkers go on. TIP TOP TIMING (3) tough gelding holding his form well. Attacked the line late when a sound second over 1630m at Wyong on October 31. Will relish the claim and give plenty of cheek. TOM CRUISING (9) has only the one win from 10 starts and is having his first start at this track. No excuses today after finishing fifth over 1600m at Kembla Grange on November 5. Can take a hand in the finish. DECIMUS (7) raced without luck in two runs back in city grade this time in. Up in trip when a plodding sixth over 1500m at Rosehill in BM72 company on November 13. Stays in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,3,9,7. |

CLARENDON TAVERN PROVINCIAL BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1100m
Off the low draw the speedy Apic Run should lead at a genuine tempo. PRIVATE HARRY (4) exciting Harry Angel colt who created a big impression on debut when a slick 3.5 len winner over 900m at Newcastle on November 2. Looks destined for bigger things and is expected to go close again. APIC RUN (3) promising sprinter who returns for his second prep after winning his first two wins in good style last time in. Had excuses in town on the heavy (8) track when third over 1000m at Randwick Kensington on June 12. Returns with the one trial on his home track and is expected to play a leading role. DARK GLITTER (5) is holding her form well and is due for a change of luck. Finished off strongly when a gritty second over 1000m at this track on November 12. Tempo suits with the claim and is sure to be thereabouts again. GLASSOUT (10) Headwater filly resuming on her home track. Won well on debut here two back, before disappointing in town when ninth over 1200 at Warwick Farm on July 10. Returns with the two soft trials and gets her chance from the low gate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Private Harry to win. |
