NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:00 JP Conveyancing Maiden Plate 2400m
A solid tempo on the cards with Pianta heading them off. HOLLY'S STAR (6) has been knocking on the door of late, just finding one better at Kyneton two back before another sound effort when fourth at Kilmore. She should appreciate the rise to 2400m now and can break through. NAJLE (7) has raced twice this time in, working to the line well at Yarra Valley over 1968m last time out. She should relish this trip now and can run a new peak. PIANTA (2) has placed in his past two over similar trips. He's a front-running type who will take catching if left alone. SMART MADAM (8) hasn't been all that far away of late and can sneak into the finish. AKMO (4) could be an improver.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Holly's Star to win.
2 01:30 S&S Equipment Hire 3YO Maiden Plate 1000m
Anticipating a stack of early pressure over the sprint course with many of these lining up for the first time. GROOVE JET (7) has been good in both runs back from a spell at Kilmore, placing behind a pair of smart fillies. First up she was behind She's Got Pizzazz who was heavily backed and unlucky in a Group race at Caulfield on Saturday. She looks very well placed from a soft draw. MAGNA MAK (9) resumes. She showed promise in her initial campaign, placing in a BM66 on debut at Morphettville. She can improve this time in. TOPHET (4) is lightly raced and has been around the mark in three runs to date. He won't need to improve much to be going close. THELMA'S BEL (11) can run well on debut.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Groove Jet to win.
3 02:00 Ladbrokes Own Spring Maiden Plate 1200m
Silent Fox is the likely leader at a slick tempo. INFINITE JEST (4) is a gelding by Akeed Mofeed on debut for the Templeton yard who has trialled nicely on a few occasions leading into this. He's trained locally and should be set to run very well at each way odds. CONFINE (10) resumed at Traralgon over 1100m and just found one narrowly better, running on to miss by the barest of margins. She draws to sit closer out to 1200m now and will take beating. ANGEL OF THE SEA (12) is a filly by Harry Angel on debut for the Hayes yard. Her jump outs have been okay but must respect the stable. KNIGHT ON THE ICE (8) perhaps next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Infinite Jest on top.
4 02:30 Mmmwah Caf & Restaurant Maiden Plate 1200m
Echuca Moama to go to the lead at a genuine tempo. TARTAN BELLE (14) resumes. She showed promise in her initial campaign, finishing fourth, beaten three lengths to recent G1 Thousand Guineas winner Another Prophet at her second start. She then placed in a strong 2yo race at Mornington that has produced Group form and if she's improved over the break she should go close. ECHUCA MOAMA (13) has shown ability in three runs to date, placing in two. She just missed when riding the speed at Mornington last time and a repeat of that effort has her right in the mix. CAVILL TYCOON (1) has been about the mark in four starts to date, working home well at Benalla for second last time out. Tricky draw but has claims. SOHO PRINCESS (12) is better suited coming back in trip here, don't be surprised if she improves at odds. PROVED (11) is a mare by Time Test on debut who can run well.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Tartan Belle to win.
5 03:00 Eureka Garages Maiden Plate 1600m
It doesn't look a strong tempo. ALIGNING STARS (4) is a strong hope, off a good second placing on debut. He worked to the line well at Ballarat and gave every indication a mile would suit. He can improve again and looks clearly the one to beat. AMANOAH (12) was solid over this trip at Ballarat last time and has each-way claims. She's still lightly raced and the draw looks better for her this time around. SPELLMASTER (3) comes back to the mile having raced over a touch futher of late. His run three back over this trip at Cranbourne has him in the mix. AASFAH (11) ran well on debut at Benalla with every chance to improve from a soft gate.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Aligning Stars to win.
6 03:30 RMBL Investments Rising Stars Race 1600m
Bob The Horse and Kiss Me Ned have the early speed and take leading roles. STELLAR STYLE (15) was a dominant winner on heavy ground two back at Pakenham but couldn't back it up at Benalla. She maps for a soft run here and could bounce back. AIRCLASH (7) comes here third up, quickly to 1600m. Interesting placement but he is good enough on his day. Don't discount. CYCLONE HARMONY (2) is consistent and has form to be highly competitive here. He drops in class and should prove hard to hold out. KISS ME NED (10) is coming off a win in a similar race at Benalla. She's still relatively lightly raced and can take catching again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Stellar Style to win.
7 04:00 K.I.S Communications BM58 Handicap 2400m
Bubbling should lead and control the tempo. LEGATUS (2) was solid in a much stronger race two back at Geelong and backed it up with a solid third at Mornington over this trip last time. A repeat of that performance has him right in the finish here. BUBBLING (4) broke through for a maiden win at Yarra Valley last time out, leading throughout to score by a length over 1968m. No issue out to this trip, she can continue to progress. BOX VALE (5) was better last start at Mornington in the same race as Legatus, beaten four lengths. He's only won 1 from 18 and never placed but could sneak into the finish here. VADABOY (3) has ability on his day and could take catching if in the zone. NAVAL AVIATOR (6) is going okay and has an each-way hope.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Legatus on top.
8 04:30 Ladbrokes Bet Ticker BM58 Handicap 1200m
A moderate tempo from Superset pressing forward along. RUBIKTON (8) ran well out to this trip last time at Pakenham in a stronger race, running on nicely from back in the field to grab third, albeit without threatening. This suits and she gets Melham aboard. HOT CHILLI MAMA (10) comes back slightly in trip having run well at Pakenham over 1400m last time. She's fresh for this and maps well. SUPERSET (1) has just been fair in two runs back from a spell but this is easier and he can improve. He was only beaten 1.8 lengths at Moonee Valley last time which reads well. ADRETT (5) won 2/3 last time in and resumes here. She'd like it wet but must respect.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Rubikton on top.
9 05:00 Trafalgar Tyre Service BM58 Handicap 1000m
Abundant early pace from the speedy trio of Shamrock Bay, Rivers Reward and Cable Town. BELLA CINQUE (9) won her maiden first up before a solid effort last time up to BM64 grade. She should get a soft run and prove hard to beat. MERRIGOLD (6) resumes. Her best form is over a touch further but she can sprint well fresh and has the ability to run well. POWER CABLE (11) won nicely fresh in an easier race and could measure up here. LEGENDARY DIVA (10) is lightly raced off a maiden win and can continue to progress.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Bella Cinque to win.
