NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:57 SEARLES GARDEN PRODUCTS BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 2076m
Hell Of A Prince, Rosefinch and Force Me to roll forward and set up a solid tempo. GINASUE (5) won this track/trip and it was a big effort after settling rearward. He was beaten just 1.6L at the Sunshine Coast following in stronger than this. He maps well and will get through the ground. A decent chance to bounce. SCHOONA THE BETTER (1) hasn't won for a long while but gets his chance in this contest. He's been around the mark and got closer at Rockhampton last time. He goes well on heavy tracks and Stanley sticking aboard is a positive. MADALSA (3) found more like his best narrowly beaten this grade at Kilcoy. He's a winning chance holding that form. HELL OF A PRINCE (7) was narrowly beaten in an Ipswich 60 making good improvement. He's in the mix as well.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ginasue appeals most.
2 01:34 JIM DAVIES QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1500m
Not a great deal of early pace evident. FIRST MAN (1) was beaten 1L at Dalby on debut over 1200m. It was a good effort after settling rearward. Presents fitter and the extra 200m should suit. LADY BOSSA NOVA (8) improved when beaten 1.5L here over this distance. Maps well again and gets another chance. ARGUABLE (4) resumed at Coffs Harbour as a short-priced favourite but didn't finish it off. Must have been showing something and Bayliss takes over from the 3kg apprentice. A much better effort is likely. TOP ROOSTER (3) has been racing in stronger maidens and the Ipswich effort two back stacks up. Jumps from the rail and is worth a look.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to First Man.
3 02:13 LADBROKES YARD COMMENTS BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1500m
Chasing Jackley is the probable leader in the small field. COBURG (3) improved again narrowly beaten at Ipswich in stronger. He maps well again and 2x winning rider Cartwright is reunited. Won his only start here and it was over this distance. CHASING JACKLEY (2) was quickly back on track beaten a whisker at Rockhampton over 1811m. Has to drop back in trip again but has a 1.5kg claim and is a chance positioning forward. PRADO (5) is third-up and brings a 2L defeat from the Sunshine Coast. The 1500m is ideal now and he should get every chance. PASSIONATE REBEL (4) is also third-up and has more to give. He's been settling well back but has been freshened and the longer trip should suit. He's good enough.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Coburg.
4 02:48 LADBROKES BET TICKER BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1500m
Summer Star to take charge ahead of Takara Star at a good tempo. SOCIAL STAR (4) went well at Gatton and then raced a short-priced favourite at this track/distance narrowly beaten. Maps for the run of the race and he can go one better. TAKARA STAR (7) placed close-up in the same contest. She has to push over from an awkward barrier but she's a chance if that's managed economically. ELLE MAGIC (10) is back on turf and has more to give third-up. Gets in well with the claim and finally draws an inside barrier. In the mix. MORDECAI (3) resumes and is worth a betting watch. He draws well and has placed this course and distance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Social Star.
5 03:27 SOMERSET REGIONAL COUNCIL BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1500m
Glengarry can work over from a wide draw to lead. ARIAT (7) was beaten a half-length at Toowoomba quickly back on track. Has her first go over 1500m but gives every signal it will suit. VORTEXIA (6) also bounced back beaten a whisker at Ipswich in stronger. That rates well but he has to push forward from a wide barrier today and that's the niggle. PAUJI POWER (3) has switched stables on a 39-day return. He was formerly with the sharp Matt Dale yard at Goulburn and has pieces of form good enough. Maps well and Stanley's booking suggests he's pleasing. CHANCE WITH WOLVES (2) will find this easier than the Sunshine Coast and should be around the mark.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Ariat.
6 04:05 KILCOY EXCHANGE HOTEL BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1200m
Expecting a strong pace from the outset with plenty of speed engaged. PLATINUM LIES (8) is a leader and is ready to win off two threatening efforts at the Sunshine Coast. Jumps from the rail and she's won over 1200m. She's in good hands and will prove hard to peg back. NEW HAMPSHIRE (6)was beaten 1L at the Sunshine Coast and then improved on that just missing as favourite on the Gold Coast poly. This suits and the 1.5kg claim is handy. LIZZIE'S GEM (7) led and found more like her best NSW form winning a CL2 at Beaudesert. She can go on from that and Wiggins' booking helps offset the outside gate. KWAMI (3) is going well and also has claims.  SUGGESTED PLAY: With Platinum Lies.
7 04:43 FREE ENTRY KILCOY CHRISTMAS CUP THURSDAY 12TH DECEMBER Maiden Handicap 1200m
Pace looks strong with Boysarebackintown pushing forward from an outside draw along with Scottville Scooter in closer.   SUGGESTED PLAY:
8 05:20 KILCOY CHRISTMAS CUP THURSDAY 12TH DECEMBER RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1200m
Imperioness has good early speed and can set a decent tempo.
