Maiden Race 2890m
RELATIONSHIP (10) was fresh from a spell last time out and making his first appearance over the obstacles. Only 5.5 lengths away in sixth on that occasion in a maiden steeplechase (2750m) at Fukushima. Handy flat performer who looks to have sound prospects this time. PEARLY BLACK (7) has had just two just jumps starts, the latest when fresh-up last time in. Not far away and sure to be improved. Looks well placed here. SHIGERU TANUKI (13) returned from a layoff last time out in a maiden steeplechase (2750m) at Fukushima, finishing fifth when partnered by today's rider T Kosaka. Before that first-up run he transferred to the N Fujisawa yard. Leading contender with that run under the belt. VATRENI (6) is a handy flat performer who has placed to Grade 3 level. Not raced since he finished tenth at his first jumps appearance in a maiden steeplechase (2860m) at Kokura on February 18. Sure to be improved and looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. |

LIETAMENTE (10) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when third over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt when she was prominent throughout. Nicely placed to take this out. SHALOM (5) gets a change of rider and has been freshened up since finishing sixth over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt last start. Well placed to make amends. DANTSU DORE (4) finished third last time over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt when resuming from a spell, beaten 2.5 lengths. Likely improver with winning claims. hereabouts during her maiden preparation but didn't threaten to win. Resuming here off a break of 11 weeks. Great chance to break through. MORNINGTON LINE (12) is a two-start maiden who looks close to a win after placing at both runs, the latest when second over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Will be handy despite the tricky draw. Will give a great sight. AMERICAN TICKET (6) finished third, beaten 3.5 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1400m at Hanshin Dirt after he was in contention on the turn. Nicely placed to take this out. FABULOUS LORD (11) has been racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid second at Fukushima Dirt over 1150m. Well placed and should be in the finish again. FORT BOYARD (1) was in the firing line on the turn and finished second last start at the first run back from a spell over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt, beaten 6 lengths. Likely improver with bright prospects. |

VIGENERE (4) did a reasonable job when he finished second in a steeplechase (2860m) at Kokura two runs back. Held that form last time when 1.3 lengths away in second in a steeplechase (2750m) at Fukushima. Looks very hard to beat in this sort of form. PERCUSSION (3) returns after four months in the paddock. Raced just once when last in work and won a 2860m maiden steeplechase at Kokura by 4 lengths. Expect another bright start to his prep. OSIRIS BRAIN (5) resumes from a long break. Goes well fresh and has ability over the jumps. Has good early speed and expected to give a sight. KAISER BAROWS (7) has returned in great order this campaign. Placed when resuming in a maiden steeplechase (2860m) at Kokura then won last time by 4 lengths in a maiden steeplechase (2860m) at Kokura most recently. Has ability and looks a definite danger. |

Maiden Race 2000m
MEINER OCEAN (8) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing second last time out over 2000m at Nakayama. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. BLACK RUTILE (13) was close to a maiden win before a 11 weeks break, finishing off with a placing over 2000m at Kokura. Drawn out which makes the job a little harder. All set for a bold return. PROSPECT (7) finished 6 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1800m at Hanshin after being in contention on the corner three weeks ago. Steps up in journey today. Should be prominent from the outset. Capable of testing this field. PARASOL (2) is a well-related three-year-old filly lining up for the first time. By Satono Diamond from the former top race mare Bettolle who has produced some fine gallopers, including winners at black type level. Should enjoy a nice run from this draw and should be about the money. |

GOLD JUMPER (16) is yet to break through after four career starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at Kokura two starts back when resuming before finishing fourth over 1200m at Kokura last start. Well placed this line-up and might be her day. MARINO BALLERINA (13) finished third, beaten 2.25 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt after she was prominent at the turn. Placed to advantage so expect a big run. UNIVERS UN (4) is yet to break through after four starts but not far off a win. Placed two back then missed the frame but was thereabouts last time over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Solid top-three chance. CHATEAU D'IF (3) resumes from a spell of five months and is having her outing under new trainer Daiki Yajima. Finished 12th at Tokyo over 1400m at the opening run last time in work. |

Can bounce back to his best form. CERTIFIED (7) returns after a spell of 11 weeks. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1900m at Kyoto Dirt. One to consider. RINEN MAMBO (4) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2400m at Nakayama Dirt, beaten 6 lengths into fifth. Finds a nice race and can make amends. |

DONAU PEARL (9) was well in commission when resuming last start over 1600m at Hanshin when fourth, beaten 3 lengths. Worth another chance. YOSHI TANREI (4) started at $4.20 last time and ran below expectations, finishing tenth and beaten 5 lengths at Chukyo over 1600m. Finds a nice race and can bounce back. HURRICANE RIDGE (1) returns from a spell of three months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when 12th over 1800m at Tokyo. Commendable record at this trip with a win and three minor placings and shapes as one to consider. KITTEN'S MARCH (6) made progress last start to finish second over 1600m at Chukyo. Well placed to feature in the finish. |

Drawn to go forward again. Going up a level this time but she is good enough to play a major role. KASTROM PEPE (6) has not raced since he scored on debut over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt on October 21. One of the main contenders. |

GODFATHER (4) returns from a layoff of six months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1800m at Sapporo. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. ACUTUS (1) finished fifth when resuming two runs back then progressed nicely last time out to score by one length over 1600m at Chukyo. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. MEINER MEMORY (3) was ridden quietly from a good draw last start before closing nicely to get up for seventh over 2000m at Hanshin. Worth including. Grade 3 placegetter DOTTO KURU (10) finished fifth over 1800m at Hanshin at his most recent appearance on December 2. Worth plenty of thought. |

Will drift back but will be getting home hard. PEACE OF THE LIFE (13) scored by 1.3 lengths last start at Kyoto Dirt over this distance. Is yet to miss the frame from three starts at this distance, including two wins. Shapes as one to consider. MI FAVORITO (6) was beaten 2.25 lengths into sixth at the second run back from a break in a 1800m contest at Nakayama Dirt at her latest appearance. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance. |

WHISTLE SONG (4) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a spell on February 24 finishing ninth and beaten 3.5 lengths over 1200m at Kokura. Comes here with definite claims. MY REINE (8) finished second at Kokura two runs back but was less effective last time over 1200m at Fukushima, finishing 4.5 lengths back in seventh after being in contention on the bend. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. APASIONADO (2) finished out of the money when fresh from a spell two starts back then he settled well back and was beaten 6 lengths when eighth in a 1200m contest at Fukushima two weeks ago. This is a nice drop in grade so he is a major player. BRAVINO (7) hasn't made an impact like last campaign, the latest a sixth over 1200m at Fukushima. Down in the weights this time and can find the frame here. |
