HIGHESTEND (11) finished last campaign with a couple of minor placings, the latest over 1600m at Funabashi three-and-a-half months ago. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will prove tough to beat. OPINION LEADER (6) has been thereabouts without winning, the latest effort a third over 1600m at this track. Can break through this time. HIRO SHIGE JACK (1) resumes and has to be considered if the good form from his last campaign emerges here. Each way chance. A SHIN PISTON (10) closed off strongly last start to get up for second, beaten a neck, over 2000m at this track. Top-three prospects.
