A solid tempo on the cards with Brick Road heading them off. BRICK ROAD (8) returns from a break of five-and-a-half months. Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a win over 1200m at this track. Rates highly and a bold fresh showing is expected. MAKE THE WIND (9) is back at the races for the first time since November 8. Scored over 1000m at this track at the start of last prep. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. MARINO PRIERE (10) last appeared six-and-a-half weeks ago over 1600m at Funabashi when she finished seventh. This is her first run for the Noboru Yonekawa stable. One of the genuine hopes in the race. LOVE VIOLET (2) was fourth over 820m at Sonoda last time out. Drawn well here and can go a few better.
