Strong pace from Aniki and Black Storm matching motors with Pacific Mv close at hand. ANIKI (3) proved too strong last start and scored by 2.25 lengths over 1400m at this track, his third win from five starts since coming from Australia. Has the speed to overcome the draw. Expecting another big run despite being on trial at the mile. LIGHTNING STRIKE (9) finished 2.25 lengths away from the winner in third when resuming last start at this track over 1400m. Has a very strong record at this journey, scoring on three occasions from three starts. Another bold showing expected. ISTATABA (1) finished third last time over this course and distance, beaten 3.5 lengths. Found the frame in a Gr 1 behind Lim's Kosciuszko last November. In the right race and is sure to prove hard to beat. PACIFIC MV (5) pushed forward and was a determined winner by half a length over 1000m on the all-weather last time out. Query at the trip but don't underestimate.
