Many of these have the speed to be prominent so a genuine tempo is anticipated. FINANCE SHOGUN (1) goes on top. He's going okay without winning but really put the writing on the wall here last time in a similar race over 1400m, running in a fast race and sticking on well for second. Up to 1600m looks okay and he'll kick up from the inside gate. QUEENSBURY (2) continues to race well without winning, placing in his past four, runner-up in three of those. He tried hard at Moe over this trip last time and won't need to do much more to be going one better. RUSSIAN DUCHESS (9) presents third up and ready to fire. The second-up effort here was solid behind Finance Shogun and she should be fitter. OSHIMA (3) improved quickly at start two to win the maiden. Now onto turf but looks progressive. NGONGOTAHA (6) broke through for a maiden win at Moe at short odds and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Finance Shogun to win.
